How I compile my charts:
With a few exceptions, I don't go out of my way to seek out new songs - I usually wait until I hear them on the radio. I mainly listen to Radio 1 and for this reason, most (though not all) songs in my chart are those which are played on Radio 1. I don't usually add a song to my chart until it's started gaining some airplay. Songs generally tend to climb gradually as they grow on me, peak and then fall fast, so the chart looks similar to an 80s/90s singles chart. Hi Mango
No surprises at the top. 2 weeks and MŲ is still holding up strongly.  UK public and you still love Selena Gomez. In fact, 6 years has passed since her first ever UK top 10.  MY fave new entry is You Don't Know Love. It's not Olly's best single but it's nice. I don't like that male voice in Disclosure's BOSS. The production is ok though. Nice chart  |

Completely agreed with the comment about Olly That male voice is one of the Disclosure brothers I know what you mean though, he doesn't have a great voice lolThanks

Hi!
I'm quite liking Selena Gomez' new single; the whistling hook carries the song much better than it would seem on paper I think. She seems to have found a sound that supplies her with a happy medium of catering to both her own interests and the current trends of the music scene, but that still sounds refreshing. I can't seem to get into Olly Murs' single; it's definitely a pleasant listen and I can see it doing well, but it doesn't seem to be anything new from him and leans too closely to being MOR radio-friendly. Similarly, Two Door Cinema Club's single is not much more than being a nice listen on the radio; I vastly prefer the likes of 'Changing of the Seasons', 'Sleeps Alone', 'What You Know' etc. |
