I didn’t find any of them of the same quality or commercial sound his huge 2019 hits had! 'Hypnagogic' for quality?! You are right in that they haven't been as commercial but some less commercial sounding dance has made the charts even a year or so ago like Camelphat and Endor. Not so much any more sadly though. Ed Sheeran releases a new album
Rihanna collaborates with Ariana Grande in her lead single from her new album Drill and rap remain high in the charts Some 'Lil' rapper has a Top 40 hit Three Lions re-enters the chart after England's brave last 16 defeat. 'Rhythm Is A Dancer' gets covered and becomes a summer hit. Kygo collaborates with Jennifer Rush in 'The Power of Love'. Drake releases another mixtape. JLS return and have a #39 single. |

I predict an Ed vs Adele Q4 battle next November, the music industry would have a melt down

A few people saying grime will stay dominant next year... when was the last actual grime hit?

I'm surprised people haven't at least updated to calling all British rap music 'drill'. That'd still be reductive and incorrect but much more accurate than continuing to refer to it as 'grime'. xxx

I really think Rihanna will come back in Q1 2021
another one that should come back is George Ezra, he cannot leave it too long and I guess Lewis Capaldi will come back with all the guns probably with a new single in Q2/Q3 I guess, would be extra interesting if he clashes with Ed Sheeran |

Ed Sheeran and Adele the obvious big comebacks I suppose, maybe Rihanna? Nobody knows with her
Taylor's re-recordings are probably happening at some point in the year, it'll be interesting to see how they do. and I saw someone mention ABBA's singles, let's hope they're finally coming |

- Foo Fighters will have the highest first week sales of Q1 in the album chart with 'Medicine At Midnight'
- You Me At Six to score an easy Number 1 album on low sales - Joel Corry to score an easy Top 5 hit with a January release of his next single, maybe Number 1 depending on the feature - Tiesto to have another random Top 10 hit in the summer - Calvin Harris gives in and puts out some commercial bangers under his own name which will get him at least 1 Number 1 single |

George Ezra's heavily hinted towards new music next year which is good. Lewis Capaldi's confirmed, as did Ed Sheeran's manager a few months ago

The thought of new albums from Adele, Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, Lewis Capaldi and Rihanna all in one year is kinda crazy. Might actually see some half good end of year album sales again.

- Little Mix finally split from all of the in-fighting that has been RIFE since the split with 6th member, Simon Cowell
- Ed Sheeran and Adele return at the same time, and Adele's new era is MUCH smaller than her first two. She will be around Ellie Goulding, Burn era, size rather than Adeling or Beyonceing up the charts. Thete will be a lot of jealousy about her weight loss, ala Victoria Beckham, cauisng a massive sales decline, coupled with people having moved on from her music AND not wanting ballads in a year after a pandemic. Ed will officially become the biggest (and shittest/ most contrived) act in the world. - People might finally accept that Rihanna has retired from music - Britney will be forced to release morw robotic dance by her father, but the fans will FINALLY be wise to the fact that she has not been a singer since 2007 and will not buy into it. - GaGa will release an awful song from Chromatica instead of Alice - Taylor Swift will release a 3rd folksy album of diminishing quality and returns - Ariana G will get the first post-Xmas no.1 - LadBaby will release another awful Christmas no.1 - Alexa will continue to stomp around like Caesar at Christmas - Kylie will have a no.1 disco album - Sophie Ellis Bexter will continue with her iamspamspamamidisco-style Instagram concerts and maybe start charging for online 1 hour-long concerts -Men will continue to dominate the charts and streaming - Talentless "rapper" Drake will already have sweatshopped his producers and writers in their studio tents to create "his" next album. People will hammer his maudlin beats. - Pop Brat Justin Bibber will continue to struggle to stay relevant, even coming off his victory over LadBaby with thr NHs Choir song. |

- Adele will have the biggest album of the year by an absolute mile.
- Ed Sheeran will release an album, but will be less successful than his previous releases. - Gaga will release a reissue of Chromatica, with a few new songs that will have moderate success. - Little Mix will announce they are splitting up for good early next year, followed by a solo single from Perrie towards the end of the year that will flop hard. - Jess Glynne will release her new album mid way through the year that will have moderate success, but unlike her first album. - Taylor will release a 3rd album that will continue from Folklore & Evermore and it will give Taylor her 7th number one album, however she will still be unable to secure a second #1 single. - Ariana Grande will be involved in a surprise collaboration, which will be huge and give Ari her 8th/9th number one. - Cardi B will release her second album and it will be one of the biggest albums of the year. - Rihanna won't release anything and her fans will have a meltdown. - Beyonce will release a surprise visual album towards the end of 2021 and it will be a big seller towards Xmas. |

Kendrick Lamar will come back and have one of the biggest rap albums of the year getting a us number one hit but only managing low top 10 in the uk.
we may finally get something from Bruno Mars again although I wouldn’t be mad if he continued to stay on hiatus. |

Jesy ends up missing Little Mix too much by the end of the year and announces her comeback in December with a brand new Little Mix single in January 2022

The huge amount of hate towards Little Mix in this forum is insane. And I'm bookmarking the post where someone said Adele is going to flop like Ellie Goulding lmao
