   We lose the third and final member of the fam in the form of Yaz, who drops out in 14th place. A police officer when we meet her, Yaz is the most committed traveller of the fam, always sticking by the Doctor's side and sharing her passion for seeing the universe, as evidenced by her choice to stay travelling when Ryan and Graham left. We also lose Nardole, the Twelfth Doctor's companion after his final (24 year long) night with River Song, reassembled as an android after King Hydroflax beheaded him and made use of his head for intel. Nardole initially remained committed to keep the Doctor following his oath to protect the vault, therefore not liking Bill initially and perceiving her as a bad influence, but he warmed to the idea of travelling until he stayed behind to help protect humans from the Cybermen. 13. I really liked Nardole but I can't really complain at that placing, it feels fair. I would've liked him to stick around longer in the show, his dynamic with Capaldi was amazing and I can't lie, I would've loved to see a 13/Bill/Nardole team.

Getting tougher, but going with Clara, the whole 'impossible girl' thing was really overdone and was in that typical convoluted Moffat style and I was never a fan of the resolution she got, again it was needlessly complex.

Wilf, more on the basis of screentime and the ‘companion’ role (which probably means I’m coming after Jackie next!!)
I always forget Nardole is a companion but at least he had more of a character than the fam. I’d give anything though to get a an extra series of that TARDIS team which would have allowed Nardole to be a more ‘proper’ companion. |

I suppose it didn't help that Nardole being a full-time companion was a bit of an afterthought, which meant he was mostly absent from a chunk of the episodes
