I wouldn't rule out Gillingham to be honest, we nearly came close to the play-offs, just lost our way towards the last few games.
Not sure what gives United the rights to be favorite yet again. They've choked the last 4 seasons and lost me some money this year too!
Yay!!! Gillingham on top that will do me
The Gills started well last year too - interesting to see if they can keep it up!
Good to see Rovers lose to a team we dicked 6-0 last season
I see Sheffield United are living up to their "favourites tag" as usual
So far so good for my ante-post tip, Bolton Wanderers.
Tony Mowbray has resigned as Coventry manager.
Coventry are one of the teams I have decided to follow this season. Bit surprised he decided to resign, most of the managers wait to be pushed.
They should have left the EFL Trophy alone with B-teams of the Premier League & Championship being allowed to complete.
Micky Mellon has left Shrewsbury Town to join Tranmere Rovers.

The caretaker boss who is the goalkeeper coach doesn't want the manager's job.

Did anyone see the plastic pig protest that Charlton and Coventry did in their match on Saturday?
I saw media coverage of that incident. Knew about the Charlton unrest, the Coventry one must have occurred fairly recently. I don't always catch the stories.
More news from this division, sadly related to administration as opposed to actual football. Bury are facing another winding up petition from HMRC according to this article here.

And one of the reasons why I love football is when an upset occurs like this.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37615124
Karl Robinson has left his position as MK Dons manager after six years in charge.
Shrewsbury Town have appointed Paul Hurst as their new manager.
Tim Sherwood has been appointed as Director of football at Swindon Town.

This is not a demotion for Luke Williams according to the club.
Millwall 4-0 Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers 1-5 Charlton Athletic
I thought the blue few were going to win the league...
Bury have parted company with David Flitcroft.

According to Steve Gerrard, the MK Dons job came too soon for him.

Edit: -
Russell Slade was sacked at Charlton Athletic.

Kevin Nugent in temporary control.

MK Dons v AFC Wimbledon tomorrow. Should be an interesting match.
Fun indeed!
Gillingham have named Ady Pennock as their new head coach after sacking Justin Edinburgh on Tuesday.
Coventry City fans have been asked to stop whistling protests in games after players were apparently distracted by a whistle from the crowd which triggered Bolton's late goal.
I found it confusing when I watched Coventry that time.
Another manager gone, Danny Wilson and assistant sacked at Chesterfield.

Another manager gone, Rob Page has been sacked as manager of Northampton Town.

No need for this after an confrontation with ex MK Don's manager Karl Robinson and an AFC Wimbledon staff member:

Wonder what was actually said?
Imagine abuse about him at MK Dons, personal insults possibly.
Don't think this will be the last time we'll hear about this:

Coventry have sacked their manager Russell Slade
And:
Appointed a new manager in Mark Robins:

First time tomorrow night that AFC Wimbledon will play MK Dons at their home ground. It's hope that game is remembered for the right reasons.
No trouble!?
Disappointing Fleetwood lost at home to Bolton on Saturday - would love another 'small club' in the championship to join Burton!
Rovers losing 1-0 on their big day out
Can't be too far now from Sheffield United getting promoted back to the Championship.
Haha 7 years is a long time in the third tier for a big club from Sheffield!
I don't think Sheffield United and big club match for me.
Attendance yes I would they are still big. But not on performance over the last few years in the league discounting their FA Cup runs.
Fun indeed! xd
I agree they are definitely bigger than Bournemouth and Swansea for sure.
When I used the label big club I meant looking at things over the whole course of footballing history in England - in that way they are a big club in comparison to the division they're in. In the same way as Bournemouth are a small club in the premiership and Burton in the championship!
Hope Fleetwood sneak into the championship - spread the wealth!!
Though Rosler usually falls at the final hurdle - like with Brentford etc!
Really hoping Fleetwood can make the Championship. It will be an remarkable achievement.
That's true with a big club you would describe them as teams that have happened during the course of English football history. I think now yes I can't say teams aren't a big club just because they've had seven years of underachievement. Completely agree with what you say, Steve201 & OutstandingMixer.
Sheffield United end their 6 year exile in the third tier by winning promotion to the Championship again and manager Chris Wilder doing what Neil Warnock last did 20 years ago winning back to back promotions with two different sides after leading Northampton to promotion in League 2 last year!
The decline of Coventry continues.
Bolton lost, making Sheffield United champions.
Coventry are in the fourth tier for the first time in 58 years.
Fleetwood could be just one point behind Bolton for the promotion space.
Can Sheffield United stop winning please. I don't want them to beat our 99 points tally from 2015
Still very much open for the second promotion spot between Bolton, Fleetwood, Scunthorpe and mathematically Bradford.
Did Bolton draw last night?
Yes, they did. The result was 0-0 and the match report is here.

Only a point between 2&3rd now then
Crucial game in hand for Port Vale this week against Walsall. If they win, it goes to the wire in terms of the last relegation place. Walsall were beaten by Coventry (already relegated) at the weekend.
Gillingham are on the verge of sacking their manager, and they have already lost one at the beginning of this season, practically getting close to be regulated. This time last year we were so close to getting promoted, than in the last 5 to 6 games completely lost the plot.
Sheffield United look set to re-sign Ched Evans from Chesterfield.....
Who would you want to see get promoted the Championship via the play-offs:
Scunthorpe
Fleetwood
Bradford
Millwall
I would like Fleetwood to go up here.
Same here, think they've peaked too soon tho!
Fleetwood may have missed their best chance to get into the Championship!
Hoping Bradford go up instead of Millwall.
It was I have to say an excellent second leg at Glandford Park. Credit to both teams.
Yeh Bradford for me but didn't want either team!
Out of the remaining two, Bradford.
How the Millwall 'fans' got onto the pitch, I'll wonder. The first 'fans' to run onto the pitch at the new Wembley.
I'm pleased that Millwall beat Bradford. It's a tasty fixture and there's enough northern shite in the Championship as it is
