Lucas & Steve cover Freemasons 'Love On My Mind' (which in itself samples Tina Turner and Jackie Moore) and give it a FABULOUS albeit generic update - really love these guys' output. They're not reinventing the wheel or anything by any means but their songs are layered, fun and groovy n u rly can't ask for more than that!! |

Definitely not a fan of this, it lacks the funkiness of the original, which is one of my favourite tunes.

IMHO guys made a new and amazing "wrap" for good song. Love On My Mind was originally from my favourite period and genre of dance music, so any other version of it in any other genre I am not unlikely to like anyway...they should have at least kept the original vocal. If it was a progressive house version of the sort of 2012 Otto Knows type which is not tropical or had euphoric progressive house production a bit like the first two Swedish House Mafia hits, I would have liked it, but yes it is much too generic, |

Adds nothing to the original imo.

It's not a bad reworking actually! I do like it, there's tonnes of bad quality covers of dance songs doing the rounds atm but this is a cut above the majority. I do far prefer the original still and of course the Freemasons one. One of the best Freemasons tracks easily.

Yes it is probably my favourite track from 2005, although there were plenty of dance tracks I liked from that year. The follow up to Love On My Mind, Watchin I actually think is even better, the production is so euphoric on that one with the sweeping disco strings, even by 00s dance standards. Rain Down Love is fantastic too, although sadly the funky house era was coming to an end under a tide of electro by this point. When You Touch Me in 2008 is really good too, love the fun retro vibes in that one. |

I get nothing from this whatsoever.
The original is fantastic. |
