Good first episode for me - being a politics geek when saying it was inaccurate to have Thomas Shelby on the opposition benches as a labour mp in Oct 1929 when Ramsay McDonald was PM but then again Churchill wasn't PM either.

He's not on the opposition benches. He sits on the same side of the house as Mosley, who he explicitly says in one episode is deputy to the chancellor of the exchequer and cabinet advisor to the PM.

Churchill is shown as an opposition back bencher when Shelby gives his first 'pro-fascist' speech - his only appearance since season 2

It may have been misleading as the show primarily sets the camera in the position of the speaker's seat which is flipped from what we're used to on the news.

Yeh that must be it.

Is it the same actor playing Churchill? What are you making of the series?

It's the same actor from series 2 apparently.

I think this series is around as good as 1 & 4. 2 was marginally weaker but still excellent and 3 was a bit of a mess in places.

Yeh agreed although I enjoyed series 3 too as it links everything to the politics of the day.

Mosley's speech was brillant the way it linked it to today's issues!

Peaky Blinders...wow. One of the very best TV dramas ever. Scenes with Oswald Mosley almost unwatchable, such resonance with today. Brilliant from start to finish. Why do I care so much about a ruthless razor gang leader?? Cillian Murphy incredible.
