Hello and welcome to Jankonie, for the first semi final of BJSC 94, courtsey of Ultraviolenceland who smashed the 93rd edition with their bop In The Morning by Jaded. We are proud to be co-hosting with the most successful nation of the BJSC year, as well as Unovia, who have won TBO and currently holds the record for most Spin-off wins. Unovia are hosting semi two so please check it out. Below are the 33 songs fighting for an all important place in the final in Ultraviolenceland, will one of these succeed the host nation as winner? Now let's get to the formalities, as all you have to do is...

Thanks...I think that preview is better than putting the Spotify link in, as you don't have to log in to hear it.

There is none...it wasn't as if Buzzjack Mountain was likely to qualify anyway with this song (which I love anyway) but the lack of a non Spotify full version makes it nearly impossible.

But they would have to download the song from iTunes or Amazon for the video, and I don't really want anyone to have to spend any money on it. Also I don't want whoever who uploads it to get into trouble for breaching copyright.

The version you've used on Spotify for Zanmatony's entry is a remix and is contrastedly different to the original.

I didn't dislike the semi as much as some, by any means, though the other one is stronger.

I liked 15 songs enough to point in the end, so had to leave out 5, lots of unexpected countries impressing me this month!

If people want to send mp3s by about 7-8 tomorrow, that'd be fab, I know it's short notice but I kinda forgot about the mp3 packs and want to get them out asap so otherwise I'll just be using a YT rip!

(for Buzzjack Mountain I'll probs use a recording program to get it off Spotify as I think it's unfair for that song to be left out of yet another thing )

What an incredible debut from Rolloland that needs to qualify. It ever-so-slightly reminded me of unexpected smash 'I Am The Antichrist To You' with the emotional song/animated video combo, but of course it's much longer than that so I hope the duration isn't too off-putting for people.

Big hype for FSR Rontvia (what an anthem, this better smash!!), Ojnoj (loved this for ages & it better slay!), Ramrynia (best entry of their since the Sabrina/NEIKED double <3) and Unovia who completely brought it this month *.*

Rolloland is an absolute must to qualify here, a bit of a shame I'm not able to vote for it but I expect it'll get a handful of very high points so should be safe, can never be too certain about a 9 minute progressive rock track though. I'd really love if it could catch on in a similar way to Kishi Bashi.

Think Alteria should be good for their first qualifier too hopefully, their best entry to date *. Also throwing some hype from the other semi to a few that I think are being underrated in Ajanaeda, Avalonia and Oslol. I think I had a potential by Hundred Waters myself aaages ago but can't remember what it was called - 'Xtalk' is gorgeous though, reminds me a lot of London Grammar

I know my song isn't going to have wide appeal, I just hope it can follow other songs from its genre and make it through to the final. I think Craving You has a bit of a wider appeal than some country songs too, something I can imagine BBC Radio 2 driving to become a top 20 UK hit pre-streaming!

That was a performance, my computer wasn't having Sendspace and it's too big for zippyshare so Dropbox it is, it's also easier if there happens to be a problem with a specific mp3, it can just be replaced

Voted! I think I must have been deluded when I wrote the previous comment as the 17 songs I had saved to listen to again were pretty much all very mediocre (enjoyable, but still mediocre). My +12 is a good song, however I do feel that in another contest I could have easily played it once and then not bat another eyelid at it.

I have already prepped everything for the results tomorrow as I am at work all day so won't have time to edit the scoreboard and stuff since I won't be home till the back of 11. Sam is also doing her prep as we speak and therefore won't be able to include semi 1 until late tomorrow night when I get home which isn't fair on her
