NOW 100 Hits Sing-a-long due for release on 22nd November. I imagine that’s when they’ll also release NOW 104 and I hope it’s a mixture of old and new and not just the same old same old

Out of curiosity (since every time I check this forum/thread I see another Now album being released) how many spin offs have been released this year/how many overall will have been released by the end of the year?

They usually release a lot of spin-offs in November on the run up to Christmas. I’m just waiting for them to announce NOW 104

Interesting, though not surprising, they do love to milk a successful concept. Will be interesting to see what they dig up for this one.

Why do we need even more forgotten 80's when they could do perhaps 70's instead?

Do 00s compilations generally sell well? I notice the recent Ministry of Sound one tumbled down the compilations chart quite quickly. Not sure how the Now one did a couple of years back.

80s compilations still seem to be easy money for record labels and the Forgotten 80s album was No.1 for a few weeks so to tap into that willing audience again for the Xmas market makes sense, even if it is an uninspired move to do it so soon.

They would sell well if they included forgotten songs from 2000-2004 and not common songs ie. "I Gotta Feeling" and "Poker Face" etc. We never get Fragma or forgotten trance anthems on there. They could do with including Fragma's other hits, I know they won’t license "Toca's Miracle" but they could at least include any of the others

So Amazon have put up the link for NOW 104 and NOW 4! So we're getting another re-issue, which is great. Another one for the CD shelf.

Also, I'm so excited to see the Forgotten 90's album. It may not contain actual "forgotten" songs, but it'll be nice to see songs you don't usually see. Plus, NOW 100 Christmas and NOW 100 Party are also on Amazon. I'm hoping Britney makes an apperance with My Only Wish (This Year).

Which NOW 4 songs will end up on NOW 104 then do we think seeing as that seems to be the new tradition?

Together In Electric Dreams
The Never Ending Story [with it having been used in Stranger Things recently]
Hello
Jump (For My Love)

seem likely.

they could go for one of Ghostbusters/Somebody's Watching Me too even with a November release date.

Granted loads of these aren't forgotten and are rather 'lesser hits', a lot of them from acts who had much bigger hits that populate the usual compilations, but it's a great tracklist! After years of releasing the same old thing over and over again, the Now team have finally been turning out fantastic compilations this year, I've bought nearly all of the 100 Hits series.

Absolutely fantastic to see a few songs that were left off the original Now albums, like Sometimes, Bootie Call, Rollercoaster, Got The Feelin', I Want You Back and After The Love Has Gone! Yasss at the likes of 2 Times, Big Big World, U R The Best Thing, Sunshine After The Rain and La Primavera too <3 Can't wait to listen to this.

Loving that tracklist! I’ll definitely get that one!

It would have been nice to see Two In A Million feature for S Club 7-it’s more ‘forgotten’ and didn’t appear in the main series.

I also would have liked I Will Come To You by Hanson.

I was thinking the same for S Club 7. I’d have been inclined to switch out Ain’t That Just The Way for Stranded too. Love both but Stranded is more forgotten despite peaking higher.

Some of these were definitely expected inclusions, like Sleeping Satellite, gorgeous and one of my favourite No.1s of the 90s, shame it’s mostly forgotten now.

Link for NOW 4

That track listing is very good! So many songs you don't usually see on compilations now-a-days. These 100 Hits albums they're doing are such good volumes, and gives life to concepts/themes they've already done.
