First and foremost, I just want to thank you all for getting so involved in making these polls such a success over the last couple of months and it has been great discussing and rating your favourite Ciara tracks. It has been a pleasure hosting!
So the final two goes as follows... 01. Ciara feat. Missy Elliott - 1,2 Step (44.12%, 15 votes) The ultimate winner and BuzzJack's official favourite Ciara single is the undeniable '1,2 Step' featuring none other than Missy Elliott. The votes between the final two were pretty split but '1,2 Step' just managed to pip 'Goodies' to the post, perhaps getting it's own back for the fact it didn't manage to be #01 hit that 'Goodies' was beforehand. Acting as her second single from her explosive debut album, the song definitely kept up the Ciara momentum and is possibly her most celebrated/remembered song to date. It is still a massive club favourite to this date and I challenge anyone to manage to sit down when this anthem comes on. The bassline and hook are both relatively simple but utter genius in their vibe and there is always something incredibly wonderful when CiCi and Missy come together. An incredibly worthy winner. And the worthy runner up position goes to... 02. Ciara feat. Petey Pablo - Goodies (55.88%, 19 votes) If you needed any proof that Ciara was on FIRE back in 2004, you need to look no further than 'Goodies'. Her first two singles really did cement her as the R&B girl to beat at this time (if only her hits had kept up to this level). Obviously her massive debut single 'Goodies' has it's stans with as many as 15 of the voters wanting to crown this as Ciara's best ever, and it is easy to see why. 'Goodies' not only sounds amazing to this day but was so fresh when it came out. It was the song that introduced the word 'crunk' into many a vocabulary with the unbelievably catchy crunk synths that refuse to be forgotten, and with an almost operatic vocal performance from Ciara it really was an incredibly inventive and new take on early-2000's R&B. Fully deserving of being her UK #01 single and the runner up on BuzzJack's Ciara rate. Here is your final voting order with the stats: 01. 1,2 Step (44.12%, 15 votes) 02. Goodies (55.88%, 19 votes) 03. Like A Boy (44.83%, 13 votes) 04. Work (50.00%, 13 votes) 05. I Bet (55.56%, 15 votes) 06. Love Sex Magic (33.33%, 7 votes) 07. Oh! (30.34%, 7 votes) [Winner of Tiebreak] 08. Overdose (30.34%, 7 votes) 09. Dance Like We're Making Love (43.34%, 10 votes) 10. Get Up (37.50%, 9 votes) 11. Body Party (28.57%, 8 votes) 12. Got Me Good (41.38%, 12 votes) 13. I'm Out (30.77%, 8 votes) 14. Promise (30.43%, 7 votes) 15. Sorry (29.17%, 7 votes) 16. Gimme Dat (30.00%, 9 votes) =17. Ride (24.00%, 6 votes) =17. Never Ever (24.00%, 6 votes) 19. Go Girl (44.44%, 12 votes) 20. Speechless (29.63%, 8 votes) 21. And I (21.21%, 7 votes) 22. Can't Leave 'Em Alone (33.33%, 11 votes) Again, a massive thank you!! |

Cheers for this Davidson! It's been great to see how much people appreciate her, she's ridiculously underrated especially these days!
'Goodies' and 'Ride' are my absolute faves so I'm thrilled to see the former come second. One of the best discographies of any artist to be honest, she's so ridiculously consistent. |

I can't really begrudge '1, 2 Step' winning but it wouldn't be my choice.

YES, the right song won, '1,2 Step', remember loving this back in the day and hearing again and I still love it. Such a fantastic bop and you can't go wrong with Missy Elliot's rap in the middle, just superb.
Also like 'Goodies' which is again another total jam, 2005 was a great year for Ciara and what a start, with hits like these 2, 'Oh' & 'Lose Control' which again features Missy Elliot. I do agree that they've always made fantastic music together. It's a shame that she's never really had the same success as her debut era throughout her career, coz she's had some amazing tunes through the years, 'Get Up' (I still don't get why this was never a big hit, should have been massive), 'Like A Boy', 'Love Sex Magic', 'Work' (another underrated classic), & 'Body Party' It would be great if she released a Greatest Hits CD with all these jams on it, this would be my ideal tracklisting 1. Goodies (Ft Petey Pablo)
2. 1,2 Step (Ft Missy Elliot) 3. Oh (Ft Ludacris) 4. Lose Control (Ft Missy Elliot & Fatman Scoop) 5. So What (Ft Field Mob) 6. Get Up 7. Promise 8. Like A Boy 9. Takin' Back My Love (Ft Enrique Iglesias) 10. Love Sex Magic (Ft Justin Timberlake) 11. Work (Ft Missy Elliot) 12. Ride 13. Body Party 14. I'm Out (Ft Nicki Minaj) 15. Overdose 16. I Bet 17. Dance Like We're Making Love 18. Got Me Good |
