Evanescence have announced their 5th album 'The Bitter Truth' will release this year! Following from 2017's 'Synthesis' - though it'll be their first album of entirely new material since 2011!
Lead single 'Wasted On You' is out on Friday.
EXCITEMENT!
I hope it can at least do well for them on release week.
I am SO excited I've been waiting for this for so long
Well this is fantastic! Exceeded my expectations certainly.
The video is releasing at 5pm today.
Oh wow loving this a lot
Shock top 40 hit?
'The Game is Over' is out on Wednesday!
Can't wait. Wasted On You is a year highlight so far.
Personally I didn't find Wasted On You exciting or awe-inspiring though, probably because I didn't second the melody line in the chorus. I do expect some great stuff coming from Evanescence soon, so fingers crossed!
Liking this even more than Wasted On You!
The Game Is Over so excited for this album.
that stunning riff at the end could've been longer than 20 seconds. Wasted on You remains better out of the two~
1. The Game Is Over
2. Wasted On You
Neither of them join the ranks of my favorite Evanescence songs, but I don't think anything will touch My Immortal.
'Use My Voice' is out today! This one features vocals from: Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, Lindsey Stirling, Deena Jakoub of Veridia, Sharon den Adel of Within Temptation, Amy’s sisters - Carrie South and Lori Lee Bulloch and their guitarist Troy McLawhorn's wife Amy McLawhorn.
I hope we get some news about the album's release date soon.
The album has finally been announced for March 26th, and banging new single "Yeah Right" is out today!
"Better Without You" is out today ahead of the album in a few weeks
This was released on Friday and I hadn't realised until yesterday. I've had a few listens through and so far it seems like another strong album from them and I think it will grow as I get more familiar too. So far really enjoying Artifact/The Turn which transitions into the next track, Broken Pieces Shine, really well. I also really like Yeah Right and Amy's voice is gorgeous on Far From Heaven.
Has anybody else had a listen? I feel like this campaign has been very long and diluted - perhaps in other ordinary circumstances they would have made more of an impact.
Overall it's certainly a solid album, I definitely think it'll need another listen though. The production really bugs me, why would you want to frown out Amy Lee's voice??
Number 3 in the midweeks!
