We continue our survivor for one of the biggest selling album of all times and also coincides with the buzz around Mamma Mia again. The rules are simple please vote for YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE and each week I will eliminate the song with the most votes until we have a winner. (A Man After Midnight) (11/33 votes , 33%) 7th place - SOS (9/40 votes , 20.50%) 8th Place - Voulez-Vouz (8/41 votes, 19.51%) 9th Place - Knowing Me, Knowing You (11/43 votes, 26.19%) 10th Place - Waterloo (8/34 votes, 23.53%) 11th Place - Fernando (14/31 votes, 45.16%) 12th Place - Money Money Money (11/34 votes, 32.35%) 13th Place - Super Trouper (8/39 votes, 20.51% FLASH VOTE: 12/22 votes, 54.55%) 14th Place - Chiquitita (6/34 votes, 17.65%) 15th Place - Thank You For The Music (16/36 votes, 44.44%) 16th Place - One of Us (11/32 votes, 34.38%) 17th Place - Does Your Mother Know (9/29 votes, 31.03%) 18th Place - The Name Of The Game (10/28 votes, 37.04%) 19th Place - I Have A Dream (6/23 votes, 26.09%) "Take A Chance On Me" was released in January 1978 and peaked at #1 in the UK Charts. The video is classic ABBA and served as inspiration for Steps video for "Last Thing On My Mind". This classic track reached #1 again in 1992 as the lead 'single' for Erasure's Abba-esqe EP. Superb cover - this has also been covered by the A*Teens and Julie Walters. A Shame this was voted out as there are much less worthy tracks left. Erasure cover “Take A Chance On Me” was voted out with 9 votes, just ahead of 'Mamma Mia' with 8 votes. Close! Next, "Lay All Your Love On Me", “The Winner Takes It All” and "Dancing Queen" all tied on 5 votes. I suspect the final may be close as well. The voting will be open for about a week. |
