Looking forward to seeing Wembanyama with the Spurs. He's the biggest and most hyped prospect last season. Would be great if Spurs are able to return to the playoffs.

This year's draft also featured twins from California, Amen & Ausar Thompson. They're about to become the 6th twins that are playing in NBA. Previously, there were Brook & Robin Lopez, Marcus & Markieff Morris, Jason & Jarron Collins, Tom & Dick van Arsdale, Horace & Harvey Grant.

A huge win by the Boston Celtics yesterday against their Eastern Conference Final opponent, Miami Heat. Derrick White scored 25+ points off the bench and also blocked Jimmy Butler's shots twice (with a total of 3 blocks).

Celtics seem like they're on a mission this year. General management going all-in by trading for talent in the starting lineup, 2nd coach maturing very quickly and calling on all former Celtics to come and be around the team and support the championship push. Hoping for banner 18.

While I'm still doubting his future in the modern NBA due to his body build, Victor Wembanyama shows why he was the #1 pick today. He scored a career-high 38 points and a double-double over a 132-121 win against Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and the Phoenix Suns.

23 year-old Dallas-born Tyrese Maxey scored 50 points with 7 three points over a 76ers win against Indiana Pacers. 76ers tonight played without one of their star players James Harden.

His performance tonight might impact the upcoming All-Star Game voting in the East Conference.

Indiana Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton scored 33 points, 15 points, and ZERO turnovers in a win against the 76ers yesterday. With 32 assists and 0 turnovers in the last two games, Haliburton passed the Memphis Grizzlies' Jason Williams' record in 2003 for having the most assists without turnovers over a 2-game span in the regular season.

Jason Williams: 31 assists, 0 turnovers (March 19th–21st 2003)
Tyrese Haliburton: 32 assists, 0 turnovers (November 13th–15th 2023) [new record]

The Pacers also cut the 76ers' winning streak at 8.

The Indiana Pacers reached the semi-finals of the NBA's inaugural In-Season Tournament with a 122-112 win over the Boston Celtics.

Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton scored 26 points and made 13 assists and 10 rebounds - his first triple-double - at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The Pacers will face the winners of Tuesday's other Eastern Conference quarter-final between the New York Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks.

In the Western Conference quarter-finals, the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Sacramento Kings 127-117.

Brandon Ingram led the way for the Pelicans with 30 points, eight rebounds and six assists at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

LeBron James scored 31 points as the Los Angeles Lakers won a thriller against the Phoenix Suns to win 106-103 and reach the semi-finals of the NBA's inaugural In-Season Tournament.

James, 38, sank 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Lakers held off a Kevin Durant-inspired second-half comeback.

The win sets up a showdown with the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday.

"I've been there a lot in my career and I understand the assignment," said James.

"I was happy I was able to make a couple of plays."

Luka Doncic recorded a first-half triple-double as the Dallas Mavericks cruised to a 147-97 victory against the Utah Jazz.

The Slovenian finished with 40 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, while Kyrie Irving added 29 points for Dallas.

It is the second time in three games that Doncic has reached 40 points and his fourth time overall this season.

Elsewhere, Joel Embiid scored 50 points as the Philadelphia 76ers claimed a narrow win over the Washington Wizards.

The NBA's reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) had missed the Sixers' past two games with illness, but hit two free throws and a 15-foot jump shot in the final 50 seconds to secure a 131-126 victory.

Anthony Davis scored 41 points to help the Los Angeles Lakers to victory against the Indiana Pacers in the NBA's first in-season tournament final.

Davis also registered 20 rebounds, five assists and four blocks, while team-mate LeBron James added 24 points and 11 rebounds in a 123-109 win.

James was also named the most valuable player of the inaugural NBA Cup.

"Records will be broken but one thing that will never be broken is being the first to do something," said James, 38.

"We're the first champions of the in-season tournament and nobody can ever top that.

Been interesting reading about this in-season tournament, half of it seems to be set up for another title-esque match in the middle of the season and so of course James' team strolls to it. But I caught a bit of the Pacers semi game and they're a nice strong young team too.

2024 NBA All-Star Game Starters:

Western Conference:
LeBron James (captain)
Kevin Durant
Nikola Jokic
Luka Doncic
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (over Chef Curry lesgooo cheeseblock.png )

Eastern Conference:
Giannis Antetokounmpo (captain)
Jayson Tatum
Joel Embiid
Tyrese Haliburton
Damian Lillard

All-Star Game is returning to their traditional way this year, meaning that Draft Pick and the iconic 4th quarter's Final Target Score is scrapped from the regulations. This means LBJ and KD will be playing on the same team, ohmy.gif while Dame D.O.L.L.A. and Chef will not be able to drop any mid court game winner anymore. sleep.gif

Luka Doncic drops 73 points (new career high) double-double over a Mavericks win against the Atlanta Hawks.

Meanwhile Devin Booker also drops 62 points (career high 70) for the Suns, but over a loss against the Indiana Pacers.

Such a shame I missed the Warriors vs Lakers game. Lakers wins in 2OT, LeBron scored a 30+ pointer triple-double, while Chef Curry drops 46 points.
