But actually Got To Get went Top 10 and peaked in 1990 which is the pinnacle thing here x I know that. It went top 40 in 1989 but reached its peak position in 1990. Like Brass In Pocket for example, entered the top 40 in 1979 but reached its peak position in 1980 |

Just listening to my new Now Forgotten 80's which was £8 from Amazon. They come down in price after a while! A few re-recordings have sneaked in there including Use It Up And Wear It Out. Not very good for Now really.
When you've lived through that era and bought it as a single you can recognise a later re-record. It's very close to the 1980 original but I can still tell. The beginning for a start. |

Not unexpected at all, I'll be surprised if the Now albums are still going in 5 years time.

It’s sad but they’re not what they used to be. A lot of that is down to the fact that chart music and people who buy compilations don’t go hand in hand.

This is why I think they should focus more on Pop and more established artists and less on the flash in the pan R&B and Dance hits. The Radio 2 demographic certainly would buy it more often if more artists like Celine, Bryan Adams, and acts like that took up a bit more space. Along with some new and fresh pop that doesn't get much radio play.

On the poster for NOW 104, it only says NOW 4 throwback instead of 35th anniversary which implies that we could get NOW 5 on CD in Spring instead of Summer. It also means if we get 6 with 106, 7 with 107, 8 with 108 and 9 with 109, it means we will get 9 on CD in Summer 2021 which is actually 34 years since it first got released

The 2015 Now Christmas has been removed from iTunes. I guess to push sales of the 100 Hits one but that means there are no comprehensive Xmas compilations with all the major classics left on sale

I'm still waiting for a UK Xmas album to include AQUA's Christmas song.

Good tracklist but not many are really forgotten if you lived through the 70's.
Hate the Now site too as it always freezes my PC. This post has been edited by Freddie Kruger: 6th November 2019, 07:44 PM |

Instead of replacing Doolally with Garbage, it would have made more sense to replace Rob 'N' Raz with Garbage as GTG was released and entered the charts in 1989 Hadji, would you mind having a go at making a Now 100 Hits - “Even More” Forgotten 90’s for when they come to it probably by next year, I wanted to make a track list taking into account songs already used from Now Forgotten 90’s and the overused 90’s hits used on the majority of other Now spin off compilations. I’d like to see what we come up with! |

Anyone building a complete Now CD collection? The original Now 4 single CD is on Ebay starting at £102. They usually go for about £500 in good condition.

They could’ve easily squeezed another song onto discs 1 and 2 with the amount of leftover space on NOW 104 instead of leaving a 3 min gap on each disc. There was enough space for Meduza on disc 1 and Katy Perry on disc 2 and replace one of the throwbacks with Freya Ridings, The Script or This Is Real

Terrible opening sales for 104 this week. I do wonder really how much longer it's got as a series if it carries on this way.
(That said, I'd quite like Forgotten 90s for Christmas). |

Joyride is Roxette's most memorable 90s song along with It Must Have Been Love. I would have replaced Joyride with either Fading Like A Flower, Church Of Your Heart or Almost Unreal

Not prominently (i.e. one in the pocket at a time). I'll have a check when I'm next at work on Friday and see if they were just on the side as a return or something.

If ZieZie's new song featuring Aitch becomes a hit, then it could potentially appear on NOW 105 along with Buss Down which means it will be the second instant since Mabel and Not3s both appearing on NOW 99 where two of the same artists have two songs together with the credits flipped
