I think then (from a super quick skim) my entry got the most votes but not a single +12!

I was thinking of something like a TBO style contest as a spin-off after the fifth or the tenth edition, would be interesting to see which of the winners holds up the best.

Dubstep vs. Trap would be an interesting genre for sure! I can think of a few left field dubstep songs already but I'd probably go for trap purely because I think less people will go for it
 Congrats Mattias (again)!  Thanks for hosting too this was a really interesting contest with some great discoveries  I was a bit worried that I only got 4 points from like the first 11 voters and was looking to come last place but then a sudden influx of votes came my way so thank you everyone

Thanks Pete for saving me from being the least successful person who's entered all 4 contests
 although would be interested to see if that's still the case in a proper all-time table based on the actual points from the contests. Maybe I'll add it up myself at some point unless someone beats me to it xxI think if we were doing specifically a 'vs.' theme then it would make the most sense to do something like the 90s vs. 00s spinoff, that worked really well whereas for example the Japan vs. South Korea spinoff ended up just being a Japan spinoff with a small handful of Korean songs the only problem with that is if people end up not being able to find a good song from both sides. I think just having a 'dubstep & trap' theme would probably be better, even if it would most likely end up being much more dubstep. Having said that though I think I already have a potential trap |

Oh well done Mattias, that was a great tune, love a bit of Middle Eastern music so combining it with drum and bass was fab.
Pleased to see my entry did quite well, I picked it as it sounded like a bit like progressive house or trance with a drum and bass beat I thought, and I do like a mix of dance genres! |

Oh wow, top 10 is, um, more than I expected. Thanks... nobody for 12 points, and big thank you Pete and Jupiter for giving +10 points! Also wanna thank everybody who voted for my contestant. I found Pete's entry much better than mine, nevertheless finishing low seemed kinda obvious for it [soz] according to woots/mehs rate. I put some of the tracks from vol.4 in my playlist, nice winner, congrats Mattias! well done! --- We probably need Dubstep only as vol. 5! The problem is that I won't be able to choose an entry because I do love this genre. |
