This post is gonna be slightly brief but I should hope it'll develop as my entries for BJSC (Spelt it correctly this time Pavel ).

General Details
Country Name : Patvia

Origin: Although sounding like its older brother Latvia, it wasn't actually inspired from the country.

Capital : Caelum

Origin: The Latin word for Heaven, Sky or Utopia even. One of the busiest cities in the nation, life in Caelum rushes past easily and whilst you enjoy your stay here in Caelum, we will ensure you a great time.

Population: 62,001,018

Leader : Unknown (The one mystery in Patvia is that no one knows who runs the country itself. With the leader constantly in incognito)

Buzzjack LXIX - Entry

We are proud to announce our latest effort in the BJSC contest. A song we are happy to represent our country during this competitive time, Wait. The song has hit us hard like a wrecking ball in the past couple of days and may contend to throw off the mammoth hit 'Baby Doll' in our country in coming days. Have a listen for yourself:

Yup, you can reveal all of that only after results have been announced. You can chat about the DNQs after the semi results and then reveal the rest after the final results. Otherwise you reveal your votes and that's against the BJSC rules!

President, Nelly. S, talks about surprise qualification into BJSC 70 finals

After much hype surrounding song 'Are You With Me?' by Lost Frequencies spread across Patvia and critical acclaim by 'Jsilv' of Ajaenda, 'HausofJSG'sDog' of D'yermak'er and 'James' of 'Jamvale', it seemed like the song was going to soar in the BJSC 70. However, this was soon debunked as the song was not even predicted to pass into the finals. After a surprising turn of events, Lost Frequencies managed to get into the finals, indicating strong support. After this strange turn of events, Nelly. S, spokesman for the unidentified president of Patvia, responded to the support:

'I have to be honest, I felt extremely anxious about how everything was going to pan out, even though I had it in my mind that we would not qualify'

'I held my hopes up that Patvia would fight against all odds and a miraculous thing occurred. It did'.

'This just comes to show that Patvia is getting the support and we want to hope for the best for Lost Frequencies in this competition and anything after this point would be amazing. Even last place'.

At the moment, Patvia is celebrating 'International Relations' day to commemorate the lives costed in the Water's Creek War of 1819

LXXI- Patvia score their second Top 20 BJSC hit



Patvia prove again to be the dark horse of the race, with only 50% of predictions expecting Patvia to get through into the finals. Miracle managed to sneak its way into the top 20 this month with steady votes across the board, accumulating a huge 91 points! Although not improving on the previous peak of #13, Miracle still managed to get a highly commendable place in the top 20. When asked about the success of 'Miracle', in 'Good Morning Patvia', Koven said;

'I'm really ecstatic to see that Miracle had such a strong support that it even got into the finals if I'm honest. Top 20 is such a good feat for me considering that my previous attempt didn't make it.

The government representative, Nelly. S was also asked whether the success of Miracle had surprised him:

'Seeing Miracle in the top 20 is good enough for me to consider as a decent hit! At one time I was worried that it would come last but it managed to creep up in the last 5 or so votes so that was a relief. However, I'm more excited to introduce our next BJSC entry which will definitely appeal to a much broader public!'

When asked what the next entry is, Nelly replied 'let's just say it's quite unholy...'


A special mention go to Hushkanukia who awarded Patvia a whopping 12 points!

Currently Patvia just completed their 45th Music Awards, the Pattys, with George Ezra, Foxes, Beyonce and Clean Bandit winning some main awards:

LXXII- Patvia lose final streak!

Patvia were expected to be a sure-fire final qualifier but alas, fate has to make a twist and Patvia sunk to the bottom. When asked on the first flop of Patvia, Nelly. S said:

':('

There is speaks in Patvia of a phenomenon called 'Bre's Curse'. Upon asking a citizen what this was, we were informed that:

'Well let's just say that Bre NOT supporting us is a good luck charm. Unfortunately ha impakt brought doom onto our best effort yet.'

Rob Gasser also expressed his dissapointment;

'It's okay as the song had such a good reception with countries in Semi 2, so I think it was just a problem with which semi we were placed in. Still proud that people liked the song and I hope people will love the next entry, whatever it is, next month!

Bre's lovely so Patvians betta back off. '

Patvia to return next month

After a 5 month hiatus, I finally found a song that will be compete-able for the next month's competition so I am delighted to announce that Patvia will be returning in August! Check this thread for upcoming information
