Beautiful world is number 2 in the Uk this week just a few thousand behind radiohead at number 1,rule the world is still top 10 and shine is top 30 great start to 2008 again for the lads
It helps I guess that the album only costs £3.99 from HMV - thats helping sales im sure!
rule the rule is now top 3 in fridays midweek update
this could well outsell patience yet
rule the world is back up 2 places t number 8 in ireland this week
shine re enters at number 45 on its 19th week on the chart
patience re enters at number 48 on its 24th week on the chart
Beautiful world falls 2 places to number 14
rule the world is number 5 this week a non mover and shine is number 36,and patience is number 50,still dont know album position yet
Shine
Patience are still both top 75 in this week midweeks
Rule The World is number 7 in the midweeks(this is doing amazingly well)
Beuatiful World is number 2
Great week again for take that
Rule The World number 9 down 2 places (12 weeks top 10 and 13 weks in the top 75)
Shine number 53 down 17 places
Patience number 66 down 16 places
Beautiful World down 1 place to number 3
on week 13 rule the world falls 5 places to number 17 here in ireland
and on week 59 beautiful world climbs 6 places to number 10
Rule the world is number 14 in the uk this week
and beautiful still doing brilliantly been a non mover at number 3
probably sale price
great that shine and pateince are still top 75,both singles have around 40 weeks each on th echart which will really help push them up th echart of having total career weeks on the top 75 plus i think rule the world will have about 30 chart weeks within the top 75 also
well charting on full price is great news and ya the brit nominations must hav ehelped,
i wonder how far of the ultimate collection is of 1.5 million sales
rule the world is number 16 down 2 places in the midweeks
now i haveny seen it in th emidweek i must ask mikey but im sure it will
Beautiful world is top 10 in th emidweeks norma
In ireland this week
Rule The World falls 1 place to number 18
in the albums
Beautiful world falls 2 places to number 12
Never forget the ultimate collection re enters at number 38 spending its 61st week on the chart
i didnt think there was as much a gap as 150,000,rule the world is still top 20 in the UK so i thnk it has about another 50,000 sales left in it,it will come close but considering patience was the comeback song and not on an album when released rule the world has done really really well as 4th single,if it had been the first single it may have sold better than patience
i love patience nyself and i love rule the world i dont know which i truly prefer but i love both,i dont mean 4th single as in 4th single of an album its the fourth single since they reformed patience had the advanatge as it was the comeback single gaining alot more hype etc ,i like reach out myself which should have been a single instead of id wait for life but reach out isnt nearly as good as rule the world or patience or shine for that matter
On week 15 rule the world falls 3 places to number 17
Rule the world is on dancing on ice tonight a couple are dancing to it so it will give it a sales boost i think for next week
Uk album position this week
6 3 53 Take That Beautiful World
34 51 71 Take That Never Forget - The Ultimate Collection
ya im hoping the same for take that, although with westlife performing on the show they will prob gain the most
Well they've crept up a couple of places on iTunes but I can't see that making any impression on the chart come Sunday.
Norma
could be enough to keep it top 20
no info on rule the world yet but beautiful world is still top in the midweeks
rule the world hold stop 20 again this week, its number 19
Beautiful world falls 6 places to number 12 this week
never forget the ultimate collection climbs 5 places to number 29
both albums have been so successfull and its just great to see ,likewise with the singles apart from id wait for life, the 3 singles have sold really well just as well if not more than some of the singles from years back and thats great as singles sales nowadays in general are much much lower
Rule The World is number 25 down 6 places in the mid weeks this weeks
rule the world is number 26 this week and beautiful world is number 19,both may benefit from valentines sales next weeek aalso
ya i forgot t add that the ultimate collection climbed, again another album that could gain well from valentines sales
I'm really glad this song has done so well My favourites of theirs
Hello Simon! Hope you take part in the B&I thread!
Normakath
ya simon please join in th eboot and immune
also id love to know what rule the world total uk sales are now
i thought it was well over 400,000
what are patience over all sales now
both huge selling singles which is great
that is great and it does have about 50,000 or near enough sales left in it yet
RULE THE WORLD CLIMBS 3 PLACES IN IRELAND this week to number 23
never forget the greatest hits climbs 2 places to number 18
beautiful world also climbs this week up 3 places to number 24
I hope rule the world stays top 30 again this week and both albums climb would be great
Rule The World falls 4 places to number 30 on its 18th week on the chart
id love them to win a brit i will be keeping my fingers crossed for them kylie and girls aloud
ya the albums are holding up well both still top 30,both albums have done amazingly well.
looks at the success of there greatest hits comparing to the spice girls,i wonder how boyzone will fair,i think boyzone will sell just under half of never forget and just near double of the spicies
Rule the world climbs 6 places to number 24 this week and shine re enters at number 73
in the album chart
Beautiful world climbs 3 places to number 22 and
Never forget the ultimate collection falls 2 places to number 33
Rule the world is to p20 in thursdays uk midweeks which is brilliant news
i really do think rule the world will outsell patience now
either way the single is still selling quite well and to be top 20 on its 20th week on the chart is brilliant
Beautiful world dvd is new at number 1 hrere in ireland
I think its there first dvd number 1 here also
i dont know but there was a music site a while back that had all dvd chart positions but the site has since closed
GREAT top 2
ON week 20 rule the world is back in the top 20 in the uk,it climbs 4 places to number 20,its chart performance is simply amazing
Beautiful World is up to 16 and Never Forget is a non-mover at 33. With RTW up again and the DVD almost certainly to be number one in the music dvd chart (hopefully announced tomorrow) - not a bad week's work for the lads.
Norma
its a great week for them and both albums doing amazinglt amazingly well,
their success this time is beyond what anyone including themsleves ever thought, the greatest hits and beautiful world in total will be around 4 million by the time they finish and that is amazing
3 huge huhe selling singles also ,i think patience and rule the world mae the top 3 best selling take that singles along with back for good??? am i right??
Am I right in thinking that Take That have outsold more albums in the UK since their comeback than all their previous albums put together.
i doubt it as all of take thats albums have been big sellers i think all the first 4 albums sold around a million each and some a little more
GReta news and yet another brilliant week for take that with the exception of id wait for life eveythinh else has just sold and charted amazingly
ya the more success means tickets are far harder to get, still seeing do so well is great on the other hand.
if wait for life was a bad choice fr a single as the song was far far to slow and even to slow for radio play,i did think at the time that they would have enough of a loyal fan base at the time to seee it into the top 10 though
well after the 2 years they have had they are well worthy of a break and duriong that break they will still see th emoney rolling in
id love to see them one day as they are so good live, maybe the next time they tour i will get to go,what puts me off is im epileptic and im usually wary of going to concerts in case i get a fit
the sales aall round are brilliant
Aside from the brilliant achievement of the DVD being #1 in the UK, Ireland, Italy and Spain further DVD charts have been updated -
Denmark - #3 http://www.hitlisterne.dk/
The Netherlands - #4 http://www.dutchcharts.nl/weekchart.asp?cat=d
Belgium - #7 http://www.ultratop.be/nl/weekchart.asp?cat=d
Sweden - #13 http://www.hitlistan.se/
Also expected to enter at #1 in Germany
the dvd is down to number 2 in irelan dthis week, the albums have climbed and so has rule the world
The DVD is top 5 in the Netherlands, Top 10 in Belgium, and top 15 in Sweden (they never do too well there anyway).
German DVD chart still to be announced. All in all a very profitable little venture for them.
Norma
id say it will do very we;ll in germany
week 21 and rule the world is still tp[ 30 falling 7 places to number 27
Pretty good going from the lads. Must admit - can't wait for the start of this Britannia High that Gary and Guy Chambers are involved with. Weird to think of Rob's song writer now working with Gary. Its a funny old world.
Norma
rule is the world is numbe r35 in the charts looks like week 22 in the top 40
WEEK 22 rule the world falls just 5 places to number 32
Beautiful world is number 32 down 11 places on its 60th week
Ultimate collection is numbe r42 down 2 places on its 78th weeek on the chart
they may stay top 40 next week as rule the world was partly played on tonights dancing on ice final
rule the world is climbing again in todays midweeks its top 30 dancing on ice has helped sales
its hard to believe since tak ethat returned they have sold almost 4 million album in the uk between the greatest hits and beautiful world id say by the time they stop selling these albums combined will sell 4.5 million which i think its bloody amazing
id love to know combined sales for patience shine id wait for life and rule the world
i know patience and rule the world sold over 400,000 each, shine has sold near 300,000 and id wait for life id say around 15,000
beautiful world climbed 16 places to number 22 today
rule the world is number 50 this week down just 4 places
Beautiful World is up to number 22 in the album chart though! Must have been that showing of the BW Tour on TMF last Sunday.
Norma
ya must have been ,both are still doing great
never forget also climbs 10 places to number 53 this week
I'm still staggered at how much Beautiful World has sold in the UK. Over 2.2 million. Amazing.
it deserves it and 3 amazing singles have helped greatly
2 amazing singles. Shine was blahh
shine patience and rule teh world were brilliant for me i wasnt so keen on id wait for life
I like "I'd Wait For Life"..even if it did the worst.
its a nice song but not single material it should have stayed an album track
Yep. Wooding Boat was the best song on the album after Patience.
no shine was
Nah. Wooden Boat.
reach out was also better
Definately not. Wooden Boat all the way.
thats your fave not mine
thats your fave not mine
beautiful world is top 20 this week at number 19,thiis is just brilliant
the album has now charted well in three years whioch is great
album holding on well again this week its down just 4 places to number 23
WEEK 28 rule the world falls 9 places to number 68,i hope it can hang on another week in the top 75 next week
alot of effore went inthis tour where before they prob took it more for granted,
oi think the dvd wil lstill be number 1 as the album is till selling well which again i think is fantastic
rule the world has been used on britains got talent which may help add a few more sale sto the isngle
IT may help keep rule the world in the top 75 for another week
id love know rule the world total sales now
on its 30th week on th echart rule the world climbs 3 places to number 66
ya beautiful world falls 9 to number 50
and ultimate collection is a non mover at number 56
i think take that are in with a strong chance of returning to number 1
also i think both albums potentailly have another 50,000 sales left in them and rule the world possibly another 10-12000 also
I hope rule the world climbs again next week
is sat they both wud be as both do well still on airplay charts
RTW has now dropped out of the iTunes 100 chart.
Norma
i hope its top 75 in th emain charts come sunday
rule the world was number 83 last sunday so its still holkding top 100
Its back inside the iTunes 100 (just barely!)
Norma
lets hope it stays around for a while longer
on its 35th week in the top 100 Rule the world is a non mover at number 83
ya they seem to be plus it keeps the sales rising and rising
boyzone will do well but nothing near take that,,,i just hope rule the world can stay top 100 for a good few weeks yet
RTW drops to 88 (thanks vidcapper).
Still top 100 though. But Rihanna's Umbrella is still in the 100 which is absolutely amazing - it must be nearly a year if not past that already!
Norma
umbrella has passed the year and im delighted take that are still there
RTW is up to 91 on iTunes - so hopefully - another week in the top 100.
Up to 86 at the last glance!
Norma
it should be easily top 100 for this week at the least
Sadly - the dvd is out of the top ten now!
Norma
woohoo that sgreat news maybe it will do a top 75 return yet
rule the world is top 80 in this weeks midweeks
even it stays top 10 0i will be happy but a top 75 return would be brilliant
This weeks update -
Climbs from 88 to 80
Thanks Danny!
Please pay us a visit more often!
Norma
thanks dannyboy chart updates are always welcome
rule the world has re entered the uk top 75 at number 70 this week,im delighted about this
Its still mid 50's on the iTunes chart but I should imagine the effect will have worn off by next week's chart. Still should be comfortably inside the top 100 though.
Norma
itmay hold top 75 again come sunday
well il be happy once they appear on either chart on sunday
I think you're right - it'll hold!
Norma
im happy that they are still selling even though the material is out yonks now
rulr the world number 61 this week which im delighted with
rule the world falls just 4 places to number 65 this week sadly beautiful world is not top 75
thats quite good, beautiful world will stay top 200 for a long time yet as will rule the world
RTW and Patience are both in the top 20 for songs of the decade!
Surprised that Shine is as low as it is (although still in the 200) given that it is the most performed song of the last year and the 7th most performed of the last 5 years.
Norma
shone has sold alot less than rule the world and patience but i think it has most weeks on the chart from all 3 singles
plus it had a much lower download entry
RTW is out of iTunes altogether now!
Norma
I tell a lie - its back in though only at 115 (not bad considering its been out almost a year I suppose - its almost up there with Umbrella and Chasing Cars for being in a long time.)
What's the total sales for Rule The World now? Do you know?
rule the world is a non mover at number 65 this week and beautiful world re enters at number 75
THAT has happened me a few times so i know what u are going through ....u will be ok norma though
Did u enjoy your big brother experience???
i think it will be top 75 again this week in the offical chart
i can never find the i tunes chart on my i tunes
im after spending the last hour and i got it sorted but i get the irish version sadly no take that in the top 100 and kylie isnt on the chart either
Slipping a bit now on iTunes. I suspect though it'll come back when it gets to the finals of Last Choir Standing - it seems everyone's predicting the Revelations Choir (who sing RTW) to win. Personally I don't know how because although the girls in the choir do a fab job - the guy singing the main bits is really pants! IMO!
Norma
if it does win u can guarantee rule the world will climb and climb again
number 86 in ireland i tunes today it wasnt top 100 the last 2 days
Still mid 80's in the iTunes chart and set to still be in the 60's on Sunday.
Norma
i can see it been around number 65 again this week on tomorrows offical chart
Oh yes, I saw the comments on youtube. But there are also a lot of people who said that Thomas Godoj was better (he is a german "X-factor"-similar DSDS winner) and he is a good singer BUT he sung it out-of-tune many times!
Sometimes people see only what they want to see. If they think that an ex-boy-band is too much under their level they will rate more a choir, esp. for those snobs who bangs about liking only classic or rock music and hating pop-music .
Hehe, I didn't like TT the first time, but today they make good music ( yes pop-music, but when is good music I am not interested which kind it is). As long as they make this good music I will buy and listen to it . That doesn't mean that I will like all the ex-boy-bands reunited as man-bands thought I will give all a chance and listen .
I liked some of their stuff first time round it was a million love songs was the first song of theirs i liked but i find them more consistant now with songs this time round
rule the world is still holding top 75 just down 2 places to number 67 this week
RTW is up in the 70's now on iTunes! If this keeps up - it should hold on to another week in the top 75 come Sunday!
Norma
single sales are low and the chart is very steady so it cud have another 2 or 3 weeks top 75 yet
Album's still in the top 100 at 84.
Norma
i wonde rwhere ultimate colelction is this week?
I must try and find out total sales for rule the world ultimate collection patience and beautiful world
what is great about take that is since they retirned we all know the music singles sales have dropped yet they have managed 2 singles to sell around half a million each and an other that sold around 300,000 to get such sale sin this era is amazing i think
yes i agree when the new album is released i think we will see beautiful world and the ultimate colelction rocket up the charts again,,both albums wil lsell and sell for a long time yet
See Beautiful World is back in at 69 even though RTW has dropped to 71.
Norma
im so happy that both are still charting considering how well they have sold and how long its been since they were released it shows what great staying power they have
ya a few x factor attempts wud be a great help also and as u mention it i can see it happening
Back in the 80's in iTunes now.
Norma
great sign for sundays chart again
i hope that happens and if they win and sing rtw is will boost the sales even further
im looking forward to x factor i must say
So am I. I love the audition stages (not keen on the later stages). I only watch it really for the truly terrible ones (even though some of those end up in the finals! )
Norma
i usually watch it the whole way through i like it but x factor is my daughters fave programme
Beautiful World climbs 9 place sto number 60 this week
Rule The World climbs 6 places to number 65
good week again for them
beautful world is number 48 this week and rule the world climbs to number 61
well th efact that its selling now and no single or nothing out its sure to sell really well again when th enew single is released and sell again when the new album hits the shelves
rule the world will def remain top 75 again this week it must be back in 6 weeks agian now which is great and id love shine to make a top 75 return also
rlw is number 66 this week on the main chart and lcs will help it stay top 75 this coming sunday also im sure
im delighte dto see rule the world in the midweeks top 50 today i hope it can stay there or higher
even that itself would be godd as this would be its 40th week top 75
no not yet its in about 55 weeks i tink
RTW has just gone up on iTunes a couple of places ... not ground-breaking news - but it is unusual. Ordinarily it goes steadily down from Sunday onwards.
Norma
39 weeks Rule The World is in top 75
I hope they can round it off with a nice even 40 this weekend and then I don't mind it dropping out after that.
Norma
That is possible, now is #66, just one week to 40 weeks, we will see in Sunday.
I'm getting a bit impatient now though for some new stuff. Did you have a look at that 'gossip' thread I posted? At least it was a bit of news about them rehearsing (even if it is just NME goss).
Norma
Bryn Christopher seems to be doing OK on iTunes at the moment (at number 23 with 'Smiling'). Bryn is the first artist to be signed to Gary Barlow's publishing company (San Remo - established to give chances to unsigned songwriters).
Norma
god i didnt know that i really hope it can go top 20 by sunday it would be a nice start for them
more promo will be needed tho
promo is more important than ever now as its hard to get a hit these days even with promo
Rule The World up to 55 in the singles and Beautiful World a non-mover at 65.
Norma
im well happy with both positions and hopefully both will hold top 75 next week again
one of the contestants sang(well tried,BADLY) to sing rule the world tonight he idnt get through but they played a bit of take that rule the world so hopefully it will get a few more people downloading it and help it stay in the charts
Well RTW is back in the 70's on iTunes so I can see it still being in the top 75 this Sunday!
Norma
RTW is actually at 34 in iTunes this morning and the album version is at 107!
Should be top 75 next Sunday too at this rate!
Norma
its def looking dat way i really want to find out total sales again now
Beautiful World falls 6 place sto number 71 this week and Rule The World falls 3 place sto number 58
But up again on iTunes to number 26 with the OST version at 99. Surely this will see them go up a bit in next Sunday's chart.
Norma
ya def should be enough at the least to see rtw stay top 75 next sunday again
Dropped a bit now - to 36 from 28 last night (but only a slight drop compared to previous ones). They've still got the OST version in the top 120 as well.
Norma
its top 30 in todays midweek charts whicg is brilliant but im expecting it to drop during the week but it should be top 50 at worst on sunday
I think it will be high 40's this Sunday. But you never know - someone may dance to it on Saturday on Strictly!
Norma
top 40 again wud be great, reality tv just better use it again
I knew it was a lovely song (and I did say when the initial battle was being waged here between Leona fans and us that it would stay around the chart for a lot longer than Bleeding Love ... but I didn't think it would be this long.)
Norma
i didnt tink itwud either and i wonder whats the difference in sales between both songs now??
i dont mind the song funny thing with leona is i dont mind her but my faveourite song of hers is better in time the only one of her 3 singles not to get to number 1,,,the new single will prob get number 1 with ease and i wudnt be at all surprised if her album goes back to number 1 when the new edition is released to
Expect a bit of a huge drop tomorrow (iTunes has been frozen for at least the last 30 hours). So although RTW is still showing as 36 - it is more likely in the 70's or 80's by now!
Norma
(Still on course for inside the top 75 this Sunday though)
And back to the months thing ... let's make sure January wins - I'm around for about the next 20 minutes!
yes im all for the months winning and also once rule the world is top 75 im happywith that
Mid-weeks show it is still top 30's. If they can just hang on long enough to drop no lower than 40 ... just for a mention on the chart show (I don't mind if they don't play it - as we'll have the new stuff soon) as long as it gets a mention!
Norma
YA i agree plus th echart show might even play it which would be of no harm either
Almost Thursday and it has only dropped to 40 on iTunes! Looking good for a top 40 place on Sunday!
Norma
brilliant stuff i so hope it can hold on
Dropped only 4 to 44 on iTunes now.
Norma
still top 30 in thursdays midweek update-
total sales for Rule The World Is : 508,845 copies = great sales!
thats brilliant sales which means it will sell well over half a million by the time it stops sellig or end up close to 600,000
in ireland rule the world has re entered the charts here this week at number 49 and its 23rd week on the top 50 here
its top 40 in todays uk midweeks also
Rule The World is Re-Entry in UK Top 40
what number do u know??
not yet.
Im just so happy its back in the top 40 as its chart run has been amazing
Rule the world is number 34 this week up 24 places
RTW still hanging on in there in the download chart - up from mid 60's yesterday to 57 today! I know it won't make much difference but according to Mart!n, it is still set to be inside the 60 come Sunday. And you never know .... it may get an X-Factor boost this weekend!
Norma
Top 60 would still be great as the song is within the top 75 for 45 weeks now and even longer top 100,,so all these weeks are bonuses and they help bring their total of weeks spent on chart well up in the guinness book of recorsd although they are way down the list
Mid 60's now on iTunes. At least their X Factor boost lasts longer than most - Leon is totally out of the iTunes 120 now! I don't think he'll be troubling the top 40 on Sunday and with a bit of luck Take That may still be inside the top 60 proper.
Norma
i had a feeling leon would disapear rapidly this week,,,i can see take that been around 53 or 54
What do you think of Leon's new single? Hardly a trailblazer is it?
Norma
its disappointing but i wasnt expecting much tp be honest
RTW still hangin on there in the 60's. It has wombled between 67 and 69 all yesterday. Its at 68 now!
Norma
not to long to wait and see what its offical position is today??
It was really high up on ITUNES the other week - thats why I downloaded it lol
Its back in the 50's on iTunes at the moment so I can see it making a couple more weeks inside the top 75. Would be great if they could make it a calendar year!
Norma
#66 this week in UK.
that is quite good and the x facrtor using it agan will help it claim its 11 month top 75
Up to 38 on iTunes. I think it may finally have used up all of its X-Factor favours this week though!
Norma
38 is still a nice jumop and possibly/probably enough to ensure it stays top 75 again this week
Slipped to 40 at the latest update (via 39). Still bloody good going though!
Norma
tomorrows midweeks will give a good indication also
rtw is top 40 in todays midweeks
Come on guys - buy it again! lol
Mid 40's on iTunes right now ...
Norma
im so happy it climbing again plenty of life left in this track yet
Dropped into the 50's now. To be expected I suppose. I see it being mid 70's on iTunes by the end of the week and come Sunday's chart it may be inside the top 50 but more realistically inside the 60. Remember - Leon had a huge boost on iTunes last week but he fell so much after the surge that he only ended up a re-entry at 93 when mid-week predicted he would be top 40.
Norma
its still to p40 in todays midweek update though so thats positiove
its again top 40 in todays (friday) midweek update
boyzone are only new at number 6 in ireland this week not what they expected i bet
boyzone new at number 5 in the uk im sure they are very disappointed
full top 75 isnt in yet but take that arent top 40 although i have a funny feeling they are number 41
i can see them dropping a bit and def out of the top 10 next week, now it will be interestinng to see how the album fares
Boyzone still at 10 on iTunes. I saw the video again today as I was hoovering! If that was a sample of the dancing they did on this tour ... then the audience must have been truly riveted! Take That are ten years older than these fellas and yet have more energy in them than 21 year-olds!
Norma
i predict number 11 for boyzone this week
I think they'll still be inside top 10 in the Sunday chart then after that it'll drop right out of the top 20. I doubt it'll hang round the top 75 for more than 10 weeks in total.
Norma
its number 12 in todays midweeks so its hard to tell but tomorrows midweeks will give a goo dindication,,,the album hanst a hope n hell of going number 1 and i can see it shifting in or around 300,000 which would be about 1 million less than take that graetest hits
rule the world falls 11 places to number 68 this week,it could be its last week top 75 for now
Rule the world has left the top 75 this week sadly
noooooooooooooo
love that song
it has done brilliantly though so we cant complain but im sure we will see it re enter again some other time
Probably when the new album is out
ya probably or hopefully someone on x factor will try and sing it which will help it re chart
Oh yes that could happen! Lets hope they dont murder it though!!!
yes and that will prob happen anyhow
Rule The World re enters the chart at number 71 this week,,its now its 47th week in the top 75
rule the world is on the climb again this week up 4 places to number 67,,,i thiink in time this song will def get platinum status of 600,000 sales
i wonder what has caused the sales surge again
its no surprise its ahead of boyzone,,over alli dont think the boyzone comeback in terms of music sales has been all that successfull
rule the world moves up 12 places to number 55 now,,,and with it being take that week on x factor i think this song could well go top 40 again sunday week if someones performs it,,rule the world has stayed in the top 100 for almost a year and most of that has been in the top 75 its success its ssimply brilliant and for me its classic take that song and will forever be in my top 3 take that songs and probably my number 1
rule the world may be top 40 again after x factor ,,it will be interesting to see what affect x factor will have on the older songs
Yep after today I can see a lot of Take That songs be downloaded on ITUNES!
thats what im hoping although what i cant wait for is to see which of the old songs
a million love songs
relight my fire
never forget
love aint here anymore
will get the lost downloads
Greatest Day #8 on Itunes
it should start climbing fast from now on also
rule the world is number 46 this week and beautiful world and the ultimate collection are both back in the top 75 and x factor performance will kick in more this week,,should be a great take that chart next week!
There's only one word for all this! Great. It could turn into a Greatest Week for Take That!
Norma
Could the boys sell 100K+ of the new single, what do you think?
its number 8 already on i tunes so its looking good for number 1 and a possible 100k...i hope it does it
#2 now. defo #1 in next update.
brilliant news,,when is the next update?
#1 Greatest Day,
Is this on ITunes only? X.
Sleepwalking could easily make a chart appearance also come sunday
How exciting!!!!!!!
lets hope it does,,didnt a leona lewis b side make the top 40 once i think?
Tuesdays midweeks see;s rule the world back in the top 30
never forget and patience also also top 50
beautiful world is top 70 and no update on ultimate collection yet but that means its not top 75 which was the album i expected to climb a nice but this week
i hope they rise in tomorrows midweeks
jsut send me that pm with your faves before you change if you can and il start it up,,,
i love the viva la viva song and im a huge coldplay fan the latest album is good but not near as good as their previous 2
On its 24th week in the Irish top 50 Rule the world re enters at number 30
in the albums
ultimate collection on its 97th week on the chart re enters at number 54
beautiful world c;limbs 23 place sto number 63 on its 93rd week on the chart
I saw an advert for the Ultimate collection cd - thats been out 2 years - how cool! That will help sales!
Also Zavvi are doing Take That CDs - 2 for £10
i hope ultimate collection stays top 40 come sunday
UC in top 40 again? - excellent!!!!!!
My friend brought his mum UC and BW for xmas! - I was impressed lol
thats what we like to hear,,i wonder are any of rule the worls sale sthese days phyisiacl??
I dont know - problem is people want RTW on a CD album of theres but its not on any is it apart from the special edition of BW that is rare to find?
ya the deluxe edition wa slimited release, its great in a way as it keeps rule the world getting sales
Yea but bad in another way as people might not buy the album without it on
BW is like £3.95 on HMV - thats well good price!
the album is still selling and has been rugulary on the chart and its sales are already amazing and well past 2 million
Thats really good although if everyone has it it will be hard to sell much more
it will prob get another sales boost next week with the circus getting its uk release people will pick up a copy for cheao when buying the new album
Yeah
I can see somewhere like TESCO doing an offer like get BW for £1 when you buy the new album...they did that with Madonna but it was free!
ya and i think hmv may do it also
I need Take That and Party on CD - I only have it on tape haha - they should let me have that free when I buy the new album!!
id say i will get it cheao on the net
People online keep saying they have the link to download the new album - I hate that its leaked!!!
well every album gets leaked these days so it afects everyone
The deluxe has a book with it too right?
im sure later on down the road we will get another deluxe edition a bit like what happened with beautiful world
The deluxe version also has Here on it. The normal version doesn't. But then again Here is on the single (at least the one I have)
I bought the deluxe version. Very nice artwork! The writting is a little bit difficult to read, as is white on blue sometimes. You will ask also yourself who is Bob .
I bought the regular version as i will wait for the next deluxe edition!!!
fingers crossed we have 2 take that songs top 30 today in the chart, possibly 4 top 75 1 album top 40 and another within the top 75
rule the world jumps 19 places to number 27 this week truly an amazing chart run
rule the world number 27
patience number 59
never forget number 64
greatest day number 1
ultimate collection number 39
beautiful world number 67
is all that in the charts?
yes that is all their chart placings from this week
wowza
great to see an old song like never forget back in the chart again i have to say
yeah it really is
i would love find out its total sales now
they must be quite good
i think they are over 500,000
wow
that's huge
im still amazed by their album sales as combined the ultimate colelction and beaitiful world have sold over 4 million in the uk alone
Im still getting over how successful there whole comeback has been - I mean since 2005/6
ya it really has been huge in every aspect as they tours the albums and the singles hav ebeen huge,,the press is 100% positive they have gained a whole new audience as well as the audience they had and they are so in demand
And people actually respect them unlike they do with most boybands - like westlife for example yes they are popular but they do get teased alot
TT never do
ya they are alot more respected now than they ever were and get more respect than any boyband,,i would have hated their comeback to have ended up like boyzones and end up lame
IN ireland this week
the circus makes a number 3 debut with britney spears number 2 and leona holding number 1
greatest day climbs 3 places to number 3
rule the world falls 15 places to numbe r45
rule the world is till top 40 at number 40 this week at number 40 i was sure it would further and after tonights show i can now see it top 40 again next week
the circus #1 sales 432 K
#10 YTD chart !
it will easily pass a million by year end
LOl, Norma! This time i have to agree with you though. I for one thought they could at least beat Coldplay and become the 2nd bestselling band of all time but it never happened. Mind you, those sales figures still look tremendous but i still slightly gutted.
Besides, it looks like yesterday's show hasn't had an impact yet..not on Itunes as Greatest Day is only at 3d place at the moment.
yes it would have nice for the album to be top 2 but they have done in credibly well and the album looks set to be a huge seller again this week after this week it has 2 more weeks left of sales and im sure it will pass the million mark by year end
rule the world is top 40 in fridats midweek update!!
In Ireland This week
Greatest Day falls 1 place to number 6
Rule the world climbs 1 place to number 46
The circus stays number 1 for its 4th week-------longest ever run at number 1 in ireland for them
Ultimate collection falls 4 places to number 71
Beautiful world climbs 2 places to number 78
Another brilliant UK week
THe Circus number 1 for the 5th week(is that their longest consecutive run at number 1???)
Beautful world is number 30
Greatest Day holding well on week 6 and still top 10 at number 10
And the brilliant rule the world is climbing again and now number 45(has to be very near platnum 600,000 now??)
ya its great i know its prob due to sales prices and likewise with girls aloud greatets hits but im sure its at least another 10,000 to add to beautiful world total sales,i hope we get the sale stomorrow in the sales report likewise im looking forward to seeing the circus sales which im expecting to be alot lot lower than the last 4 weeks
didnt they sell 10,000 on tuesdays midweeks??going by that it should be around 60,000 overall but as i said i wont be shocked if the sales are low and we cant complain really as even as it stands the album has sold very well
they would be crazy not to release up all night as the 2nd single,,if it is the 2nd singles the album will fly well past 2 million with ease
i completly agree about what you are saying yes i adore the song but i dont think its single material but again you never know for example my girlfriend adores julie she thinks its the best song on the album my sister likewise has the album she finds julie boring
my daughter loves up all night,my niece doesnt like it all and my sisters partner thinks julie greatest day and up all night are the best tracks on the album
it really shows how tastes differ
the song went down well on the take that come to town show and some of the album reviews i have read also like julie, again i agree it probably wouldnt make a great single but its a brilliant album track
Anyhow the circus is number 2 in the midweeks with kings of leon pulling ahead and beautiful world is still top 30
again it really shows hoew the tastes vaery but i think its great that differnt people like different songs that way it shows the album has diversity
in todays midweeks the circus is still number 2 and 2,000 sales behind kings of leon and beautiful world is still top 30
Ireland Chart Positions for this week
The Circus falls 3 places to number 4
Ultimate Collection climbs 25 places to number 46
Beautiful World climbs 33 places to number 51
Greatest Day Down 3 places to number 10
Rule The World falls 4 places to number 50
I think Take That have been very fortunate with the chart position with Greatest Day. I mean I suppose it was expected to make the number 1 ... even for one week, but I'm surprised it has stuck around for as long as it has.
Still ... Up All Night will make things better when that is released! I swear though Pete - if they release Julie ... I'm seriously going to lose faith in them!
Norma
greatest day has done alot better than i thought sales are near 300,000 and it has plenty of sales left in yet
julie is growing and growing on me and i i know you hate it but im starting to feel to could do very well as a single,it really is a lovely song
well its debatabale as for everyone who hates it there is someone who loves it
julie is alot better than id wait for life its alot better i think
alot id say alot lot better
UK THIS WEEK
The circus drops 1 place to number 2
Beautiful world drops 3 place to number 33
Greatest day drops 9 places to numbe r19
i dont know where the others are yet
RTW has dropped to the 50's. A bad week really!
Norma
well considering the sales that is behind each release so far i think they are all holding up very very well
Also in Music Week I note that NF the Ultimate Collection is tops in the 'catalogue' albums - compilations of best of by one artist.
Norma
id love to know its total sales now as its been selling the whole way through
I think I'm beginning to go off Take That a bit now. I don't play them nearly as much in the car. I've started playing my Beatles & ELO CD's lately ... my Maroon 5 Songs About Jane has been on almost constantly too. Even the iPod my husband got me for Christmas has not one Take That song on! He loaded Beatles, ELO, Stranglers, Beautiful South ... and I wasn't even angry that he hadn't put a solitary TT song on!
I think my only true musical love (which has never waned in over 30 years) is Jeff Lynne & ELO!
I'm just wondering how much I could get for my Circus Tour tickets now! I think I'm going to go and do some research! The Saturday one is seated (and bloody good seats too!)
Norma
You probably over done on Take That i find if i ever listen to someone too much i go off them for a while,,i have very varied music taste so im always rotating plus i always have mixed cd;s aswell so i dont over listen to anyone,,im enjoying the music hugely at the moment by take that
It was my 50th today so I think I'm way too old for liking them now. I think I may buy a Montavani or Matt Monroe album! I may even buy a Robbie Swing album - I think my age group is more for that kind of thing!
Norma
roswing music is what i hate the most i would hate of i got a swing cd happy birthday day though really hope you have agreat time,,life begins at 50 is what they say
the circus is numbe r12 in the latest midweeks, album sales are so low all round so things wont pick up til the brits and up all night hits the radio
In Ireland this week greatest day falls 8 places to number 19 and the circus falls 5 places to number 12
Not bad falls to be honest. UAN should see the album rise a lot (even though we'll have to wait until March to see it). I'm not too concerned about Greatest Day ... it has run its course and I don't mind if it disappears altogether now if I'm honest!
Norma
i agree greatest day has done great and has been a number 1 hit so we cant complain, the album should get a boost from the brit awards also and once up all night goes to radio the album will pick up again
Greatest Day did it's bit. We all know it wasn't the best song on the album ... but we all knew that no matter what ... the first single would sell well ... so lets hold back some of the best in reserve .... like Up All Night!
They're going fine ... I'm starting to renew my faith in them!
Norma
I NEVER LOST MY FAITH IN THEM!!!I READ somewhere in the last few days and i cant remember where i read it but jason said greatest day is his least faveourite song on the album
UK THIS WEEK
Greatest Day drops 13 places to number 40
Rule the world falls 6 places to number 69(charted for 3 seperate years now)woohoooooo
The Circus drops 9 places to number 15
Beautiful world drops 1 place to number 46
but been honest im not worried about the circus as it has sold amazingly well so far and anything else is just a bonus and i think it probably has about another million sales left in yet.....the circus so far has more than any of their old albums and they are still deemed as very successful albums,,
the great thing is really that Take That have now released 5 studio albums and 2 offical greatest hits and all 7 albums have been a massive success as have most of their singles and they are definitly a band that will be remembered for many years to come
So far the only positions we know are
The Circus drops just 4 places to number 19
We have all the positioons now
Greatest Day falls 7 places to number 47
Rule the world drops just 2 places to number 71 (60th week top 75)
The Circus drops 4 places to number 19
Beautiful world drops 1 place to number 47
RTW still in the top 75 and Beautiful World has only dropped one place in the album chart (to 47).
I've just been watching the Corrie omnibus edition and they were playing Up All Night on the jukebox!
Norma
i hope rule the world can stay on again next week
good that corrie has good music in the backround as it needs something good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Overall including repeats eastenders is actually beating coronation street,,,,eastenders is the best soap on the box it has great ratings and wins lots of awards
in todays midweeks the circus is number 20 down just 1 place
Good week In Ireland This week
Greatest Day drops 11 places to number 41
The Circus climbs 3 places to number 10
Ultimate Collection re enters at number 39(106th week on the chart)
Beautiful world climbs 2 places to number 68(103rd week on the chart)
That's not bad going at all!
I'm glad UAN seems to be holding back on the download front (the fans seem to be waiting for the physical release to coincide with it). Although as the physical sales seem to make little difference ... I can't see it changing much. I still think it'll be top 5 (and hopefully be a 'stayer' unlike Greatest Day) but all hope has faded now of a number one.
Norma
i wouldnt rule number 1 completly out yet although looking on the hmv website up all night is priced at £3.49 while alot of other singles are £0.99 and £1.99
Well, as the most of the chart is made from downloads and only the hard fans buy the CD, i think they have chances to be top 3.
Speaking of CD, does anyone want to swap CDs? I want badly the "Up all night" one, but if i buy through amazon it won't count to the charts. I will offer a CD with "The Garden" instead, wenn it cames out on 20th march .
i was gonna buy of hmv online would you not be able to use that as that counts towards the charts i think?
As i know the downloads and buyers from outside UK also when they buy from UK online seller don't count to the charts.
Wow, thank you Norma!
so when i buy from hmv online does that not count to any chart? APART from the hmv chart?
UK THIS WEEK
Greatest Dat down 4 places to number 51
Rule the world up 2 places to number 69
Up All night new at number 72.
the circus drops 5 places to number 24
beautiful world drops 2 places to number 49
well if they work it that way all the cd's i have been buying from hmv will have counted towards the irish charts,i never knew that before
hmv may reduce that when it gets its release but up all night wil def def definitly go top 10
im sure it will overall they do great b sides
Impressive enough week in the UK this week
Up all night up 13 to number 59
Greatest Day down 11 to number 62
Rule the world down 2 places to number 71(62 weeks top 75 now)
The Circus climbs 7 places to number 24
Beautiful world drops 7 places to number 56
Ultimate Collection re enters at number 57
IN IRELAND THIS WEEK
Greatest Day down 2 places to number 43
The Circus drops 5 places to number 15
Ultimate collection drops 5 places to number 44
Beautiful world drops 9 places to number 77
Up All Night though, continues to plummet in the download chart! Gary Go on the other hand is doing really well ... he's already gone past them! Deserves it ... good song and a good video. At the rate UAN is going ... RTW will pass it soon on iTunes! This could be quite a disastrous flop for them ... I still don't think it'll make the top 10 when the physical comes out. They're on Ant & Dec on Saturday but after that they've got nothing lined up (by way of a group) in promotion for the song. Gary is on GMTV on Monday - but it'll be to talk more about the Kili climb. After that they can't do anything as a foursome until he gets back - earliest 9th March.
Norma
dont be so negative,up all night will do well, gary go is getting alot of hype at the mo so of course he is doing better plus his song is not from a 1.5 million selling album
Up all night climbs 22 places to number 37 this weeks and has now equaled id wait for life as in weeks spent on the chart
overall im very happy with this weeks uk positions
up all night up 22 places to number 37
greatest day up 10 places to number 52
rule the world down 1 place to number 72
the circus up 1 place to number 16
beautiful world 4 places to number 52
ultimate collection down 4 places to number 61
I'm shocked that Up All Night has gone all the way up to number 15 on iTunes! Nothing at all had happened up to this morning - it was still a measley 37. Then when I got back tonight I saw it had several jumps.
Poor Gary Go has gone down though! Hope he'll go up again after today's chart show.
Norma
the effects of sat night take away would have kicked in last night and today, watch it rise even more now the pyhiscal is out 2m and them on this morning also,,i told you it would rise
Gary wasn't promoting it this morning though ... the chat was just about Comic Relief. They showed about a 15 second clip of it on the Paul O'Grady show though.
Norma
well we will find out today where it lies in the mid weeks which will give a good indication of what will be its peak position
number 17 in the midweeks
It's hovering at about 15 in the iTunes chart (actually dropped but then went back up one). It won't repeat IWFL - but I still doubt it'll make top 10. I think even you're beginning to doubt it now Peter aren't you? I'm actually going on U2's performance. They were about the same position as Take That on iTunes (actually a bit higher) and were also the number one act in physical sales - yet it still wasn't enough to dent the top 10.
Norma
I'm still hoping for a miracle - top 10 would be nice. Do you think it is because of the release date? too many people already have the song? not enough promo? people don't like the song? I just don't understand. It's my favorite...so much better than Greatest Day.
well when i read the midweeks today i was disappointed as i thought it was out on phyisical this week but its not out until monday so i think im happy with its position now as its download only
for me the phyisical will cost me about e10 to get as i have to buy cd singles online and they are all from the uk,i will have downloaded it as i want to support it but my download onloy counts to the irish chart which isnt that important overall,i will try and remind you of that on sunday but im so forgetful half thetime its frightening!!
i hope up all night makes top 15 even on sunday and the phyisical will see it top 10 i still remain confident of a top 10 hit,,the circus is climbing though its number 11 in the midweeks so that quite good as it will prob be back in the top 10 again soon
The Circus is number 7 in the midweeks now!
Norma
ya its great seeing the album rise it was number 11 in yesterdays midweeks,,maybe it could go top 5 again come sunday,up all night is still number 17
circus still top 10 in the midweeks while up all night is still number 17 ihave never known any song to hold the exact same position in all the midweeks before,in the top 3 yes but never a top 20 position
Up all night still number 17 in todays midweeks while the circus is number 7 , here in IRELAND up all night makes its chart debut at number 29
Yet again its quite a good week for Take That in the charts
Up all night up 20 places to number 17
Greatest Day non mover at number 52
Rule The World drops just 1 place to number 73(this chart run amazes me yet)
The Circus climbs 8 places to number 8
Beautiful World drops 3 places to number 55
Ultimate Collections climbs 3 places to number 58
Im very happy overall with the positions and greatest day now has a fairly respectable chart run still next week im hoping to be seeing UP ALL NIGHT becoming their 18th top 10 hit even happier if it was their 16th top 5/3 hit and even more delighted if it became their 12th number 1
Number 12 in todays midweeks and if things are like last week it may well stay there as up al lnight remained at number 17 in every update last week plus it was offically number 17 on sunday....i am still hoping it can go top 10 though
So far from midweeks we know
Up all nigt #12
The Circus number 8
Will young has a limited release of 5,000 pyisical copies so his fans will have rushed out to make sure they get there copy..again i say please have faith in take that they are one of the biggest acts around right now sell out tours and huge selling albums and retire quetly is mentioned i really think things should be taking into perspective, and number 12 isnt brilliant but its hardly number 100
Better as i thought for TT in Germany. In today-newpapers is written that they sold over 100000 lbums (gold). I think that if they will do well with the Garden, that will improve also the album sales.
I will buy the single for me only if it is a new b-side.
Norma there are two version of the single. One is 2-track with 84. For the second i don't know at the moment. When it will be known, you have to tell me which one you will like to have. I still hope they will have a new b-side on it.
Post sometimes takes aweek from the uk to ireland and sometime sfaster but i do think its fatser to other places like germany for example
I notice up all night is still number 12 in th emidweeks todays and i was surprised to see the saturdays no longer number 1,to think about 5 weeks ago we said the saturdays would probably beat take that to number 1,,who thpough flo rida may beat both
i must admot i love the depecmode version its fave of mine from the 80,s and like the girls aloud and sugababes cover of walk this way its waek and lacks backbone,,im all for charity singles but sometimes i wish more effort went into them, flo rida song is just as $h!t i must say
This weeks Irish Positions
Up All Night climbs 10 places to Number 19
The Circus climbs 2 places to Number 15
Ultimate Collection climbs 9 places to number 35
Beautiful World climbs 10 places to number 73
Disappointing in some area;s and a lot chirpier in others!!
Looks like up all night wont make the uk top 10 this week as its number 13 in the midweeks, fingers crossed it will do it next week
I think it might do a bit better next week what with Gary being back in the UK and them performing on Comic Relief.
I actually like the B track now I've heard it a few times but I'm peeved that online stores don't appear to be selling it yet as I like to get them together. Maybe I'm just being awkward as I know it's on the CD but I stopped buying single CDs a long time ago. All that would happen is it would get burned to my computer and then be a fancy looking coaster which seems like a waste. Unless it has extras or it's an album I really don't want the damn things everywhere.
Ah well. Think I might cheer myself up and get Kelly Clarkson's song. Only 29p at Amazon UK music store!
29P is for nothing but how do they manage to make profit from that is beyond me,,as for cd sisngles i love them and i miss being abale to be them whenever i like they are getting harder and harder to get which is a shame,,ya i really hope it can improve next weel andi hope comic releif performance can help it top 10
Up all night climbs 3 places to number 14 this week
The Circus climbs 1 place to number 7
does anyone no how many they have sold this week single and album?
thanks alot
we dont know sales yet but im sure we will get a sales update tomorrow(monday)
Full Uk positions for this week are
Up all Night up 3 places to number 14
Greatest day down 13 places to number 65(15th week)
The Circus up 1 places to number 7
Ultimate Collection up 7 places to number 51
Beautiful world down 7 places to number 62
From a rough sales estimate i was just thinking since Take That returned they surely are not far off havin sold 6 million albums in the UK in total???
Can I just say that I think the quite awful video did very little to help this song?
Norma
The video didnt help to much as its not great but at the end of the day i love the song myself and it puts a smile on my face, the song will sell reasonably well and stick around for a few weeks, yes i would have loved a huge hit and maybe it will climb again next week, but on the other hand up all night has brought a bit of negativity to the forum that in a way i wish it was never released and take that fans had it as a hidden gem if you bought the album.
For me i love the circus album and im loving the choices of 2nd and 3rd singles and even if the graden flops i wont wprry too much as i have said before Take That are now considered a huge albums band and they are shifting albums quite well in huge numbers, the circus will go on to sell 2 million in the uk and not many bands can manage 2 consecutive albums that sell 2 million plus and eventually the ultimate collection will pass the 2 million mark as i think its near 1.8 million now and when that happens they will definitly be very high on the list of artists who managed 3 consecutive albums to sell 2 million plus each. Its facts like that that make me so proud of take that phase 2,also dvd sales and concert sales just show how massive take that phase 2 really is.
At this stage they have nothing to prove as they have done so much and for me i hope they continue on for quite a few years yet as they are still deleivering quallity albums, but if they do call it a day again after studio album 3 i will be quite happy having 6 great studio albums by them and 2 quality greatest hits packagaes by them.
Long live Take That!!!!!
up all night sold over 17,000 this week which is great,im sure it wsold around 15,000 last week so im guessing to date its well past 40,000
is there an update on how many the album sold last week?
thanks
i think its around 18-20,000 it sold last week
