Despite the almost certainty of Adele holding on to #1 for a second week and the likely hood of Justin Bieber remaining at #2, the Top 10 should otherwise see a bit of a clear out. Aiming for Top 10 places are Coldplay's 'Adventure of a Lifetime' which is lead to what is believed to be their last album, West London-based group WSTRN's 'In2', 2014's X Factor runner-up Fleur East's 'Sax', AURORA's 'Half the World Away' (an Oasis cover for the John Lewis Christmas advert) and Jess Glynne's 'Take Me Home' - the Children in Need single for 2015. Elsewhere in the Top 40, debuts should come from One Direction with their instant grat 'History', new Sigma and Rita Ora collab 'Coming Home', 99 Souls' mash-up of Destiny's Child's 'Girl' and Brandy's 'The Boy is Mine' (titled 'The Girl is Mine') and the original version of 'Half the World Away', which was originally the B-side to 'Whatever' in 1994 and later part of the compilation The Masterplan.

Hoping to be their first #1 album is Get Weird, the third studio album by Little Mix. They'll receive tough competition from last week's #1 by Elvis as well as Ellie Goulding's third album Delirium. Top 20 contenders include Pointless icon Alexander Armstrong's A Year of Songs, Anastacia's The Ultimate Collection, Bob Dylan's The Best of the Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series, Vol. 12, Cee Lo Green's Heart Blanche and Seal's 7, whilst rises should be in store for re-issues of Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour, Hozier's debut album and The Beatles' three million selling compilation 1.

To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action please refer to the iTunes thread topic.

@MintRoyale: Little Mix have beaten Ellie to the no. 1 album by the looks of it. In fact Ellie's pushed to 4 by Elvis and the Beatles (whoever they are).
QUOTE
@MintRoyale: It's hardly stellar sales for any of them.

Midweeks might still be a bit iffy as it's a Saturday, but album charts are generally more reliable, as streaming effects them far less.

I know... but if they say it's a half done deal so I guess LM will be number 1, the sales are low anyway.

Ouch for Ellie! (As "ouch" as a Top 5 album can be, although I think we all would have expected #1 for her, so #4 looks like an under-performance). Fantastic for Little Mix! Can't wait to find out more (the sales gap~).

Since Elvis was #1 with such high sales last week and is already beating Ellie...I think he's a contender, too.

He will do around 35-40K? Maybe LM around 45-50K and Ellie.. around 30-35K?

YES! yahoo.gif

Hopefully now Ellie goes back go making actually meaningful music like Halcyon and before that. This era has been horrid and she's been horribly overrated since Days.

Even if they miss the #1, go LM ohmy.gif cheer.gif

Didn't think The Beatles 1 re-issue would be so high as it's sold over 2 million already. Can't see many wanting a second copy.

The signs werent good for Ellie with that awful single and awful recent live promo performances, especially XFactor which should have been a major boost. I'm not sure what major promo she has left in the UK, probably done and focusing on the US.

She has a fair few promotion slots in the line. However, she only has one more performance this coming week which is 'Children In Need'. I think the advert for her album is also being shown on XFactor tonight and she has TFI Friday on the 27th, as well as the BBC Awards.

Hear, hear! From the songs made available before the album, I've only liked 'Something in the Way You Move' and that's because it sounds like her earlier stuff! She's been very hit and miss since 'Burn' for me, whereas it was just hit after hit before.

Three million even! But never underestimate the power of The Beatles, plus it looks like a really worthwhile product for the fans and is limited edition.

Or even a third, if people bought the remastered version in 2011. More than that if they bought multiple formats.

Beyond the completist fringe I'd guess the main selling point was the videos which could have been released on their own (and in fact they have been, but the full versions are only available as the double DVD/Blu-Ray packed with the CD.

I love Ellie's album, Army and Lost and Found are exactly the type of songs I want to hear from her.
