Really hoping for Bloodline or Bad Idea at this point, wouldn't be mad at NASA.
She shared a video on her Instagram story yesterday that said
"I love the song we made last night sm i wanna drop it this summer pls. can we maybe" and tagged Scooter Braun and some other people.
I'm hyped if she does release a new song but I think she's going to reach the point where she's become too overexposed to the general public if she does.
If it's another Monopoly she can keep it.

There is still so much single potential left on the 'thank u, next' album! Namely 'bad idea', 'bloodline' and 'NASA'. Rooting for the latter, she did visit the NASA Space Centre yesterday as well so get that promo I would of course be hyped for some new Ariana music though, she's at the top of her game right now quality-wise.
edit: wait, Ari doesn't like 'NASA'? this girl's taste in her own music is quite something :')
There aren't anymore singles from TUN which is baffling because 'Needy' was a surefire hit in the making... the local would have eaten that one up... not sure how 'bloodline' or 'nasa' would have done but possible contenders.
she's apparently linked to the judy garland movie soundtrack with renee zellweger but might be bullshit from the fans.

I’m already loving this. I didn’t know what to expect from Social House but they sounded great and really helped alongside Ariana.
I’m not hearing the Thank U, Next comparisons though.
I can hear the thank u, next comparisons, the chords sound basically the same.
However it's got a different lighter 90s R&B vibe/beat, which I'm really liking on first listen. I can see it doing really well, a throwback summery sound and pretty instant for me.
Liking the song on first listen, not so keen on the video Break Free was definitely better at that sort of theme.
This is decent. It's nothing revolutionary and in all honesty i've realised with this release my excitement for her as an artist is sort of wavering with every release that is just... Ariana by numbers. Churning out similar sounding songs ad infinitum so frequently - give us some light and shade, some change of pace, some exciting build up idk. I'll still listen and enjoy this though don't get me wrong, but I hope the album shifts it up quite dramatically.
I like it but I definitely agree, I'm fed up of knowing pretty much exactly what I'll get from her! It's not identical to TUN or anything but it has too similar a vibe, it easily would have fit on that album. It's fine to have a sound as an artist, but with Dangerous Woman I really got Janet Jackson kind of vibes, taking risks but giving us great pop/R&B, this following TUN feels like a step back because it's just the same thing again. Maybe this is just a one-off single by itself though and isn't indicative of what we'll get next, fingers crossed!
Yeah I'm pretty sure this is just a standalone summer single that she had fun making with her friends! We have the 'Charlie's Angels' soundtrack coming this year which is already a whole lot more material. Every Ariana album sounds different to the last without veering too much off track, so I hope that trend will continue with the next album too.

We’ve had two from her in less than a year so if we’re getting yet another one anytime soon then I’m really nervous. Not because of quality just i kinda want a break from her musically. I wouldn’t want a new album from her until at least summer 2020.

Yeah. I like it, but I'm also getting a bit bored of the "Ariana on auto-pilot" thing we're getting atm. It annoys me when Drake and Ed do the same and get massive hits out of it, so it's starting to grate on me with Ari too, which is a shame as I love her so much and didn't think I'd ever feel that way about her.
I just think it's a good song, it's just not very memorable and not something I'd return back to much.
Just give us 'Bloodline' as a single, take a good 7 months + off and come back with another pop'n'b smash and we're away.
I'm intrigued by the Charlie's Angels stuff though coz I feel it's gonna be quite a bit more pop than her recent stuff.

Can she please ditch this awful distorted instrumental she seems to be loving. I also miss the songs that actually show off her vocals - 'breathin' has got to be the last one that she actually has to put effort into singing live.

I get what you mean, this R&B/trap sound feels like its been her brand for ages but we were still getting singles like 'no tears left to cry' and 'breathin' just last year! I guess releasing two albums so close together is really unusual and makes it feel like more time has passed than it actually has. 'no tears left to cry' is one of her finest moments for sure anyway <3

It's the first single I actually don't like from Ariana
It's one of my least favourites from her too I hope she switches it up with her next song, because this was a very samey sounding release.
Good that it did enter at #4 in the UK and going Top 10 in the US. I was underwhelmed by this from Ariana. She has done better.
This has fallen to #19 in the US this week. Not a bad performance so far but underwhelming by Ariana's standards. '7 rings' is only 10 places lower

It is similar to TUN but I VASTLY prefer this. The former doesn't go anywhere & overly relies on its expensive video whereas this at least has a wee chorus to it. TUN's chorus sounds like the kind of ringtone that comes by default on a shitty phone.
The exact same trend is happening in the US for this! Big second week drop and then stabilising in the third week. Down just one place: 8-18-19

Yeah I love Ari and like the song but it does feel like a strange winner :') something like 'Señorita' feels like the song/video combo of the summer I think.
Yeh that was very unexpected, but then there was that year when Flex by 5H won, so anything is possible.
Great to still see this in the top 20 in the UK anyway.
At least it's not as questionable as 'Hot Girl Summer' winning a Video Music Award when it doesn't have a video

Says a lot that ‘in my head’ is higher I hope there’s a lot of truth in Lana saying that ‘Angel’ will be with us in a couple of weeks, as I sense that’ll probably be around the time that I’m ready to move on, as we move out of the summer.
