After the record breaking results of last week's chart, we're looking at the second many weeks of Adele domination in the album charts. The Vamps and The Corrs also have new records out which could possibly make a dent in the albums top 5. No big releases this week but 00s garage hitmaker Craig David makes a comeback return with 'When the Bassline Drops' (with Big Narstie) and we have an instant grat, 'Everglow' from Coldplay's upcoming album. We also pass the first of December this week, could Mariah make the top 40? As far as number 1 is concerned, Justin Bieber battles it out with himself for the top spot. Will it be 'Sorry' or will 'Love Yourself' climb to the top spot? iIt's looking likely that the latter will finish 'Sorry's two week stay at #2. Breakdown of the week Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed. Thursday: See Tuesday. Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue. To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads. |

QUOTE @MintRoyale: Adele still selling more than 60,000 copies a day. Should break the million mark on Monday.

She'll sell about ~100k over today I reckon. But a very consistent run of 50k-60k throughout the rest of the week.
How much do we think Coldplay will do next week? Over 200k? |

Coldplay might get the number one album next week if Adele's sales decline more.

I can see Adele selling more next week than this week, just coz we'll be getting closer to Chrimbo. But yeah I think 250k for Coldplay and about 360k for Adele next week.
I just wanna know where/how Little Mix are doing this week tbh. Lol. |

No way will Coldplay sell that much, I'm going for 130k for them. Adele will easily beat them.

I wonder if the Black Friday sales are helping Adele this week, she should be on for another massive week in any case

I'm really interested to see how The Corrs fare with this comeback. As am I. Media exposure hasn't been great which makes me think that it's likely to be a very front loaded affair and not something that sells much beyond their core fanbase. Still though judging from iTunes (always risky but here goes) it looks like they could well enter inside the top 5. That's likely to mean a 40K opening at this time of year. They'll need to have booked a lot of telly slots over the chrimbo if they don't want to get lost in the crowd though. |

40k would be astonishing. I'm thinking 25k, which may be enough to scrape No.10, though even that seems crazy as that would have given them a No.1 in the summer. Trying not to get my hopes up too much anyway.
I don't recall what Borrowed Heaven opened with in 2004, anyone remember? |

If Adele sells 60k over the next six days as well, we're looking at a second week of 420k, which is (obviously) very outstanding. She could start increasing from there onwards, you know. No way are Coldplay getting that #1.
The Vamps probably won't sell much more than The Corrs, which is unfortunate for them as The Corrs' sales will be only decent. A 30k start for both, which I think is realistic, would put them somewhere between 6-10. That would be down from the 47k that Meet the Vamps sold in its opening week to hit #2 in April of last year. I don't think they made a good decision to release this far into the year. |

Trying not to get my hopes up too much anyway. I don't recall what Borrowed Heaven opened with in 2004, anyone remember? They opened with just under 58K at just about the softest time of year to release a new album (the end of May). So far the new album is holding at #8 on iTunes but 5 of the titles above it are either various artist compilations or Coldplays prerelease. So early indicators from iTunes are good. I expect physicals to be good because their fanbase is a little older. I expect their streaming to points to be utterly worthless. On Amazon they are at #7 with 2 various artist compilations ahead of them on the digital chart. They are at #23 on amazons physical chart. If they have good TV promo during the week (I'm in Chicago so I have no visibility to that) then I could see a 40K opening week on the high side. This is also the week where UK album sales really start to increase rapidly every year. |

In all honesty I'm not sure The Vamps would sell much more at any other time of the year Wake Up the single didn't do particularly well which was a shame, and they're only just following it up now. Best I can hope for is a top 5 album I guess.
