Konta has agreed a deal with Michael Joyce a former Sharapova and Azarenka coach... could be an interesting few months at start of the year to see if she is going to retain her top 10 status

British number 2, Aljaz Bedene has announced he is switching back to Slovenia.
This is down to the fact the ITF wont allow him to play for GB in Davis Cup and Olympics, I personally think he should be able to , they changed rules during his application process and had submitted everything before they announced the changes. He wants to play Davis Cup and aim for 2020 Olympics and only way he can is by going back to Slovenia. Good for Slovenia on tennis front but bad for GB he's a good player |

Marion Bartoli returns in 2018 to the WTA tour... not an expected return but be nice to see i liked her style of play

Quite a few withdrawals going on before the Australian kicks off later in January, still not 100% fit Nadal, Djokovic, Wawrinka, Raonic pulled out of warm up contests
