I hope Summericia is going to surprise all and take away the crown. Apart from that, I think this is going to be pop bloc vs dance bloc: Aesthetica vs. Beaverdonia. Dobago may also surprise a few here too.

Honestly I am not expecting a good position at all this edition and will happily accept any position. Hope to have a few high pointers though

Ah, Leony finally won!! This was the third online song contest I take part in where Remedy was entered, and it came 2nd in the other two: I entered the song over at PopJustice, and it was beaten by Let's Eat Grandma, and it was also entered for Germany at the escforum FSC, where the song was beaten by Tove Lo. So I'm pleased that this banger finally won! Congrats, and also many thanks to our lovely host!

Big congrats on a big win for Altyr! I must admit I didn’t expect it to do better than the last Leony song but at the same time it doesn’t feel like a surprising winner at all, and nice to see a strong pop song win again!

Congratulations to Altyr Muunilinst for the win! Remedy is a decent song but quite surprised as well given the song didn't do well elsewhere (2 DNQs in the semis for 2 of the other contests I'm in that are different to Wouter's) Aesthetica, Mosquetania and Summericia are must-haves in top 10, and they thoroughly deserve that! Well done to Leww for the timely presentation.

FVN! is lowkey robbed here... I thought this is so iconic that this will finish top 10. St. Burbia at number 33 is a wtf moment This is really not giving...

Glad to finish no. 21 in the end and missing out the top half by 1 position! I was expecting a borderline qualification in the semi tbh but glad it clicked with a lot of people I think this is a sign that I should send more tracks of this genre and have more faith in myself that these songs will do well for Sovarasma. Unfortunately, my next 3 entries for BJSC if no last-minute changes will not be electronica, but I'd love to see how they all perform!

Wow, I pointed the entire top 7! And to think I was losing it when it came to my tastes compared to the general BJSC results! Good winner, congrats John Glad that Klum Rep got a top 20 but really thought it would be higher - it seemed like the type to scrape the top 10 from iconicity alone!

Can't say I'm not disappointed with where I came, not only did the three songs I pass up on did better than me, but all of them were hits and two of them ended up doing better than Breakup Rituals and I did considerably worse than the last HARD FEELINGS entry so regrets all around Honestly I should just settle for the "I'm just gonna try to qualify all year and give up on getting hits" strategy bc that seems to be the only bar I'm passing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thanks to everyone that voted for it though!

Congrats John I obviously wasn't its target audience but that can be said about a sizeable chunk of the top 10 tbh I did vote for Dobago, Persephonia and Summericia up there though, so yay! Shame to come so close to that status myself and not quite reach it, but 13th is much preferable to a DNQ obviously, so happy with that improvement

Congrats John, as I said earlier I'm not mad with that choice if the pop bloc were gonna be running this contest as they appear to have, was one of the highest ranked pop songs for me - not massively my thing but certainly moreso than a few of the others in the top 10!

Will comment on the rest after quickly double checking the scoreboard as per but thank you to Math for the final couple of points! (even though it turns out I didn't need them to stay top 10 and if anything I'd almost prefer to have not got them as I would then have come 9th to complete my collection of top 10 finishes *_*) (edit: actually turns out I did come 9th anyway so Math is forgiven )

Heya guys, thanks for all the kind words re: hosting!

In all honesty, I've had a really rough couple of months so this is my 'capsule hosting', a pretty standard formula I could stick to and know I could knock it out quite easily - no graphics etc. as usual but it meant I could at least take on the hosting duties. I hope it was enjoyable regardless and congrats to John for his win!

Well, Remedy was in my commiserations and was fairly decent as these Blinding Lights rip-offs go so I'll take that, congrats John! Good to see ODESZA 2nd, I heard it before the contest and knew it sounded very big and wondered if someone would try it.

The top 10 is at least looking better than it did midway though, wonderful to see Summericia's beauty there and Dobago and Persephonia smash as well! (I put the latter down to them finally returning to my points ). The appeal of some of that top 10 escapes me, but at least this will hopefully stop the moaning that pop is dead x Wish Zanmatony would've been higher, think that's my favourite ever entry from you, Wardy

Congratulations to Altyr Muunilinst on another success. The song was fourth from bottom on my semi 2 scoreboard.

40th place for my song is disappointing but at least it made it to the final. I see I was the one who won that tie-break over Suedeonia who shot themselves in the foot by giving it 12 points. My 18 point song by Quintessa was just above me in 39th place, it should have finished a lot higher.

...although in the PLOT TWIST OF THE CENTURY, it turns out Leww's spreadsheet was off by exactly 1 point in exactly the right way to knock me down to 9th!! (Summericia were just missing 1 point, the extra 1 point was enough to push them up from 9th to 7th with 7-9 now being a three way tie, TARO Bellamia knocked down to 8th. I've just amended Leww's final scoreboard post with his permission so I don't need to repost the entire scoreboard xx). Math you are now forgiven <3

Thank you very much again to all of my voters, thrilled to have made the top 10 with this, took me all the way until October last year to keep alive my streak of calendar years with at least one top 10 hit so a relief to not have to wait nearly as long this year! This was a pretty bare bones entry with it being composed pretty much entirely of 4 notes on loop peppered with thudding noises but clearly that was all it needed, I found myself instantly hooked on it when I came across it (I checked out a few other VII Circle tracks as well after stumbling on this one but none of them grabbed me in quite the same way) so great to see that it seems to have done similarly for a good number of the rest of y'all. Coming within 5 points of winning the semi-final as well! Take that uhsting and Iz with your DNQ / borderline qualification predictions xx (I did think semi 1 was a pretty great draw for my song with it being so dance bloc heavy)

Congrats to Singerpurear for a long awaited first ever podium finish! And that's about all I have to comment on in the top 10 beyond my own result because in what I think has to be a first, I did not vote for a single song in the top 10 and Dobago and Summericia were the only ones to even get commiserations! Oops. Looks like I was a little out of touch this month with all of the blocs. Skall having the highest song I actually voted for and just missing out on the top 10 on a tiebreak aw ~ Jadakissnia deserved better but 13th is not too bad of a result, I think it was a fair bit lower earlier on in the night so picked up a bit towards the end!

Happy to see Aquafina, Cumulonimbia, Klum Rep and Trifoski () in the top 20 too, plus Sovarasma just scraping top half (technically bang in midtable but I'll count that) - Sovarasma are really killing it for me so far this year, they've had my favourite song in their semi-final and a medal position in the final both contests! Wish at least one of the two songs could have been a bigger hit but at least this one did a bit better than 'Vega'.

Zanmatony still finishing too low but yay for them at least escaping the last place they were stalling at for too long and just about making it to triple figures. The biggest disappointment though is Bøtanikkä finishing that low, did not realise that they were struggling so much, that was an absolute banger! Kathaldazia, Danæviia, St. Burbia and Quintessa all deserved better too, not the most agreeable set of results ever to put it lightly xx

Thanks for the hosting again Leww, obviously no worries about it not necessarily being as flashy and high effort as some of your past hostings, it must be hard to keep coming up with novel presentation after how many times you have hosted before anyway haha.

Just noticed that Rolloland qualified on the strength of 4(!) votes - really making those count in the first semi-final ever where 30 points was enough to get through *_* (and of course Suede kicking himself out on a tiebreak by giving Rollo a 12, ouch).

Zanmatony would also have DNQed if not for the deducted nations eep, that would have been a very sad loss.

(for future posterity, in my belated updating of my stats for this contest I noticed Trifoski's 7 pointer was missing from the semi-final 2 scoreboard, have confirmed with Seven that it went to St. Burbia x)

BTW I meant to reply to one of your earlier posts but forgot, my 15 to you this month was indeed the most points I've ever given you! The only Zanmatony entries I voted for before this were 'Bailando' (13 points) and 'Bentley's Gonna Sort You Out!' (8 points). 'Touched By The Sun' would also have got high points from me as well if it had qualified though!

Congrats John, I'm obviously very happy to see my 18 win! Mosquetania, Singerpurear and Summericia rounding out the rest of my votes in the top 10 Scherzland, Aelandor and Kathaldazia still deserved better but otherwise I'm happy with the results.

36th might not look great, but I had no potentials at all this month, so to randomly remember a song from 6 years ago and send it on a whim the last night of confirmations, I'll gladly take 36th! Plus it's redemption for The Rocket Summer not qualifying last time.

Does it slightly sting that I was an hour late to confirming the winner? Yes. Does it sting that I nearly swapped it out for Doss last contest but decided against it? Yes. Alas, we move, and absolutely no regrets giving 18 to a very deserved winner

Everything I’d seen regarding my entry had me prepared for a big flop, like 20th at best so to squeeze in a top 10 with plenty of high scores has definitely helped ensure me to trust my gut and know that sending my favourite songs tends to serve me well. In My Dreams might not have been the most inspired entry but it’s absolutely one that I love and one of my favourite songs of the year so I’m glad others found the same love for it!

And sending all the love in the world to you Leww, even your “basic” hosting is flawless and professionally done, a great job!

Congrats to Altyr. Didn't see that entry as a big contender but a reasonably comfortable win in the end.

Very happy to finish 4th, my best result in over 2 years and a unique position (leaving just 1st and 7th now to complete from the top 10).

Not great results on the whole with me only pointing 2 of the top 10 (and one of those only being my +1). But great to see Singerpurear finally land a podium finish with a song I thought might be dark horse this contest.

Surprised I was the biggest fan of the host's entry! Thought that was a nailed top 5. And 28th isn't too bad for a really spectacular meme song.

Thanks to Leww for hosting and excited for 143 which I assume must be commencing pretty soon!

Which brings me to all you lovely voters that gifted us a medal position, I knew AH was a fan, and hoped it would appeal once people heard it!! Thank you so much Tove Styrke is a great record, so I felt sure someone would enter it - and then stuck it in late-ish just in case no-one else did. Good call!

Also great to see Mosquetania + Singerpurear getting a top ten finish, loved those too and TIL it's Tove Styrke not Stryke so it's been an educational contest too! Trifoski surpassing all the predictions, we love to see it

Congrats John - unfortunately I wasn't the biggest fan of the track really, but I can see the appeal. Great to see ODESZA with a podium finish and Dobago (enjoyed both versions) in the Top 5. I wish that Kluminican Republic, Sovarasma, Kathaldazia and in particular Cor Lupus and Zanmatony had done much better but thanks for the discoveries.

Are we to eagerly anticipate a ‘no-frills’ Altyr Muunilinst hosted contest ? The word eagerly doing a LOT of heavy lifting in that sentence obvs.

Another fantastic contest. Capulets didn't do as well as I thought they would sadly, but thanks Rich for the 18 points! and everyone else who voted for it.

However I'm absolutely thrilled and delighted Singerpurear got a well deserved Top 3 medal finish.
