Huddersfield have appointed Danny Cowley as their new first team manager.

It’s going to be very interesting to see how the Cowleys do at Huddersfield as they have undoubtedly done an amazing job at Lincoln.

Leeds' Jordan Stevens has been banned from all football-related activity for six weeks for breaking Football Association betting rules, a punishment his club has called "disproportionate".

The midfielder, 19, admitted a charge of placing 59 bets last season, five on matches involving the Whites.

Stevens will be suspended until 10 October and has also been fined £1,200.

Don't think I've seen a team dominate as much as Leeds yday and yet Derby equalised in the last minute!

I do wonder if it'll be more of the same this season for Leeds?

Two of Derby's players drive home pissed after a night out and crash, causing the club captain to injure himself for the rest of the season. Great to see them in chaos and glad no one innocent was hurt.

At least they've got Wayne Rooney arriving soon to inject some moral standards into the club.

We all know about Wayne Rooney's moral standards and his very public private life.

Can't see Woodgate staying at Middlesbrough much longer following that defeat against Birmingham City.

Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett have been fined six weeks' wages by Derby County after the Rams pair were charged with drink-driving.

Lawrence, 25, and Bennett, 23, were arrested after a crash in the city on 24 September and are due to appear in court on 15 October.

The Championship club have also ordered the pair to serve 80 hours of community service and rehabilitation.

Derby said the fine was the maximum their contracts allowed.

Barnsley have parted company with head coach Daniel Stendel following a run of 10 Championship games without a win.

The 45-year-old German took charge at Oakwell in June 2018 and led the Tykes to promotion from League One in his first season in English football.

The Barnsley manager deserved better, do they honestly think they have the budget to be competing near the top 10?

You would have realistically thought their aim was to avoid relegation.

Reading manager sacked apparently

Nothing confirmed.

Stendel has been massively f***ed over. I know they have a Brentford-type model but you can't sell the keeper, both centre halves and centre forward of a title winning team and expect to compete when you're strategy is to sign untapped potential. I did still think he'd have them better than they are, but he's a good coach that will go on to do good things.
