28. Rise - 5.31
10 ~ troublepink
0.0 ~ blacksquare 1.0 ~ gavindeejay

US peak: 11
UK peak: #25

An odd little drop from Katy, 'Rise' was for the Olympics and came out of nowhere after a long break in music. It's been largely blamed for sucking some of the buzz from Chained's opening week a few months later, given it went to #1 on iTunes around the world but soon died off when people realised it...wasn't all that good. However, I do remember a largely positive reaction on Buzzjack the week of its release...but a flop is a flop and here we have Katy's least popular single release to date.

Fun fact, Con Calma remix (which hasn't been pushed here, every other single has made the top 40 in the UK.

27. Cozy Little Christmas - 6.06
10 ~ Cqmerqn, Jay, Joe,
2.0 ~ Defaze 3.0 ~ Tawdry Hepburn

US peak: #53
UK peak: #23

All I can say is that you're all sleeping on a future Christmas classic. It's a shame it's not very accessable being an Amazon exclusive for now, which not many use, because it has a big, cacthy chorus and is full of Christmas charm. This did surprisingly well in both the UK and the US, outpeaking Bon Appetit in both the UK and US!

I do quite like 'Rise' but it definitely rates as one of my least favourite Katy singles. This type of 'big' sounding, movie soundtrack style pop has kinda been done to death. Reminds me of Rihanna's 'Sledgehammer' that was released at a similar time.

I've only listened to 'Cozy Little Christmas' once, for this rate, but I liked it. I imagine it will be higher the next time there's a rate, assuming it gets added to Spotify.

I look forward to a time when everyone comes around to Cozy Little Christmas, recognising it as the modern festive bop we all deserve! That time will come *.*

Rise is k. I was a bit :') at her for timing this random one-off single at the same time as Britney's comeback!

Yeah, Rise is responsible for dampening both Britney and Katy's own buzz all in one!

'Rise' doesn't deserve last place, it's far from a Katy classic but I quite enjoy the drama of it. I've only heard 'Cozy Little Christmas' once so I can barely recall it, but I remember being astonished that it managed to chart and in the top 30 as well. Will look out for it more this year!

It's so obvious that Rise was recorded in an attempt to be Katy's own One Moment in Time but Whitney she is not. Unconditionally does the drama so much better so I'm glad it's avoided the bottom for now

26. Con Calma Remix (with Daddy Yankee) - 6.37
9.0 ~ Cqmerqn, Jay, Joe, Jonjo, LMLou, JosephAvery
3.0 ~ Cucumberella, 3.0 ~ ...ready for it

US peak: #22
UK peak: #66

Here we have Katy's best go at a Spanish remix track, and as far as those bandwagon crossover hit-chasers go, this one is not bad at all. At least, her voice certainly improves on the original, which is a little dull, injecting a little life into a quite one-note song. This remix ended up being her biggest hit since 'Chained to the Rhythm' in the US, so it's a shame she never bothered with a video as it probably would have been an easy top 10, but it's still going strong in the top 25 over there! In the UK, however, it's her only song in this rate to not be a top 40 hit but didn't have a radio push here at all.

Say what you like, but "Hola, me llamo Katy" is a serve.

Con Calma remix is cute, I think it's helped her profile in the US so it's served its purpose

25. 365 (With Zedd) - 6.91
11.00 ~ Cqmerqn, 9.5 ~ Josh!, 9.0 ~ (Zach), Jack, Juliano,
-1 ~ Calum, 1 ~ gavindeejay ...ready for it

US peak: #86
UK peak: #37

So this one surprised me a little, I thought '365' was a lot more loved in these parts?! Didn't it win "Buzzjack's track of the week" not long ago? But I guess this is Buzzjack, and Buzzjack do not like a flop. And gee did this flop? On paper a Zedd and Katy collaboration sounds like a surefire hit, but the public just did not like it. Sure, it could have gotten a bit more support from radio and Spotify, but it is clear that even then it was never going to be some long running top 20 hit, which I actually I think it deserved to be! 'Never Really Over's amazing release has put it into perspective that 365 is not Katy's best, but it is a cute, easy bop with one of Katy's best videos.

'365' is ok. It's infectious enough.
'Con Calma' is so good! Really underrated.
'Cozy Little Christmas' still not heard! Silly Amazon exclusivity of it grr. (I know YT exists but at that time of year I'm listening to my own playlist on Spotify really)
'Rise' gets a bad rep, I like it, but still it IS pretty average. Britney won that war, for me.

Con Calma remix is so inferior to the original but I did love their performance of it on American Idol. 365 definitely sounds weak now in comparison to Never Really Over but I did love it when it was released

'365' was honestly such a surprising flop as everything Zedd touches in the USA seems to get rather good airplay. You're right tho, Buzzjack hate a flop.

Of all the crap that Zedd had released and made a hit, I'm shocked that 365 flopped. I don't think I heard it once out and about, nor did I hear anyone talking about it. I played it in my car to my friends and it got no reaction. Odd. It's a really catchy song and by far the best thing Zedd has been credited to in a long time.

24. Birthday - 6.92
10 ~ Josh!, LMLou, Medellíam, Klimawechsel
3.0 ~ Cucumberella, 3.5 ~ PAJ88

US peak: #17
UK peak: #22

I knew 'Birthday' wasn't really Katy's most popular track, but I didn't realise it was this disliked. It's very Katy by numbers, though I do like it!...It probably shouldn't have been a single. The singles for Prism should have been Roar, Dark Horse, Legendary Lovers, This is How We Do and Walking On Air. The best part of this single is the Cash Cash remix and the "big balloons" middle 8.
