Y E S !

That song looks fan-tas-tic, but a bit surprised we have to wait another month for the release! It does really feel (and look) like a old school pop release so maybe this makes sense.

BRING IT

INJECT IT INTO MY VEINS

Posted by: dannjohn Aug 3 2021, 11:05 AM

rlly weird to not release for 4 weeks

Posted by: Cremey Aug 12 2021, 10:24 AM

In typical Charli fashion, this has already leaked...
It did seem a bit dangerous announcing it a month in advance :')

Love it on first listen, unsurprisingly haha. The intro is very Eurythmics Sweet Dreams, and it's much more straightforward pop than most of her recent releases.
The chorus is such an earworm, just wish it was a bit longer overall.
She's mentioned about leaving hyperpop behind, but I hope that's not forever because it's the perfect style for her. She really hit her stride with the last couple of albums and mixtapes.

BANGER! This is what a Saturdays comeback track should sound like.

Posted by: dannjohn Aug 12 2021, 10:40 AM

charli just always seems a bit lost as an artist... like she really found herself with the 'boom clap' / 'boys' sound but ventured into hyperpop (or whatever its called) and her second mixtape is fantastic... it feels like she probably wants to venture in a rockier sound or a version of her first album

Available now.

Treat that we got this early! Still a banger.

Incredible - both sonically and visually.

Love this! She never fails.

Absolutely excellent! The video is such a MOMENT from her, more than we've had before and the song is sooo repeatable. It's short but it doesn't feel like it has anything missing which is smart! Easily replay-a-bility!

Song + video = YES wub.gif

This is what I really want from her!

Posted by: Ho-Lee Smokes Sep 2 2021, 10:54 PM

amazing

Posted by: Juranamo Sep 2 2021, 11:29 PM

This sounds like a cross between Prisoner and something Agnes would release (feeling 24 Hours/Fingers Crossed vibes here)... I love it!

Not sure it'll be a bit though...

honestly so here for sex pop diva charli !!! song and video are amazing i just WISH there was another verse + chorus???? or at least give the gays à middle 8 ffs.

I think I'm the only Charli fan in the world who's not *that* into her more experimental pop stuff (i.e. Most of the stuff since Sucker, some of the stuff on True Romance too... Some notable highlights though, and most I can either appreciate or enjoy! )

The good ones are the trashy bangers., I'm a sucker for them (puns VERY intended). Break the Rules is probably my most played Charli song 😂🙈

I'm hooked on this. God there's been too many good stuff out in the last 12 hours...

The production on this is SO GOOD wub.gif

She can do no wrong for me, even her going back to mainstream still sounds genuine to her and she does it so bloody well. Ugh LOVE.

Posted by: dannjohn Sep 3 2021, 03:01 PM

the problem with charli is i feel her 'experimentation' most of the time is just noise... but when she hits experimental right, she does it bloody well - songs like Paradise, Tears, Lucky, I Don't Wanna Know, Track 10, party 4 u are all very very top tier stuff.

This is a good enough song but i'm a bit confused at it all... are her label still trying to make her mainstream? It seems like shes been doing her own lane so well for a while.

I'm the same. Give me things like this, Break The Rules, Sucker, Nuclear Seasons etc over all that "hyperpop" stuff and bilge like 'After The Afterparty'.

Trashy bangers are the absolute mainstay of pop music and the fact that pop has spent the last few years missing a clear master at them cos she was experimenting is a tragedy.

I'm less keen on her experimental stuff too (call me basic but 1999 and Blame It On Your Love were easily my faves from the Charli album lol) so this is exactly what I wanted from her, it's absolutely wonderful wub.gif

This is like a perfect combination of Lady Gaga, Eurythmics and Michael Jackson for me.

This seems to be doing really well for a Charli single!

Posted by: Juan Carlos Sep 10 2021, 05:53 AM

This song should single-handedly be bringing back pop music, it’s just *that* good

Posted by: Juan Carlos Oct 5 2021, 06:16 PM

Jimmy Fallon performance tomorrow.

Posted by: awardinary Dec 16 2021, 04:02 PM

This is certainly a… different remix! ohmy.gif
