QUOTE The Big Family Cooking Showdown will feature 16 families who let the cameras (and judges) into their homes, where they will cook old family recipes in an effort to impress. The show will be broadcast in autumn of 2017 and will consist of 12 hour-long episodes. "Having been through a food competition as an amateur cook myself," Nadia said in a press release, "I know exactly how tough it can get and so I'll be there for them, alongside Zoe, as the pressure really builds!" Great to see Nadiya getting a prominent role on the BBC as well.

The first challenge is £10 to make a typical 'weekend lunch' - one family is making risotto with fennel and lemon. Just WHO has that for a casual lunch at the weekend?
