Wow, that was beautifully done. It's rare for me to cry at a TV show but it happened there.

Was so sad! Didn't need Carla Conner once again having sudden urges to see Hayley again though. Would have been much nicer just having the two of them play it out without so many interruptions.

I was annoyed by that! I thought it especially annoying as Anna had no right to use her key to let herself in to their private quarters (especially as I'm sure she'd guessed what was happening). Lovely episode, truly well done both David and Julie were excellent - I have a feeling they'll miss out at the NTA as they're both nominated in the same category. |

good episode but the carla scene should have been left out, she annoyed the hell out of me, i think david completly outshone julie tonight his expressions and movement showed excellent fear and uncomfortnesss in a very real way while clearly showing his dread of what was about to happen.

It wasnt as heartbreaking as i thought it would be. Julie has given some excellent scenes throughout this storyline but i dont feel her final scenes were up with her past as i did not feel she was totally believable in the scenes. David, peaked last night, i was highly impressed with his scenes and the little tear i did have was down to Roy's scenes, my heart went out to him.
Why they put in that dreadful Carla scene in I dont know, it felt so out of place also that Anna would just let herself into the apartment. I think the episode would have worked fantastically if it was a 2 hander by Roy and Hayley as all the other scenes seemed pretty pointless when the audience knew what was happening. |

I think they tried far too hard to make that as dramatic a conclusion to such a long, boring, dragged-out story as it could be, yet it spectacularly failed.

I would've preferred to have just Julie and David in their bed, music playing, muffled sound of knocking.

I missed this because I was working and I can't find it to catch up but I'm glad Julie won at the NTA's! I just hope both actors get the recognition they deserve at the Soap Awards!
However, my big issue with Corrie is that when they do these big episodes I can't help but wish they would take a risk like in EE and just have double hander episodes or just focus on a smaller group of characters as I think the last time this happened here was back in the 2000's When EE does these episodes the quality of the acting and writing is more moving and makes the episode more engaging! Julie and David could have just been the only characters in the show for the last few months and they could have carried the show with their great acting! Anyone else agree?? |

Anyone else agree?? 100% it should have been a two hander, but the current producer is a tit. My problem with Corrie lately it has such a BIG suspension of reality and I don't get why they don't see that with their storylines. Carla reading at Hayley's funeral she only started caring about Hayley once she found out she was going to die. Other than Tony Gordon's siege they have basically had no scenes other than in the factory barely talking on a best mates level. It's almost as stupid as when Betty died and Stella was acting like she'd known her for years despite having at least just 2 scenes together. Also when did Sophie and Steph become friends they've just been shoved together it seems. |

Corrie makes no more than the others. Back to the point - yes. I think this should have been a two-hander - with perhaps a cutaway only to Anna - sat downstairs in the café knowing what was going on upstairs. It certainly didn't need any other characters. William Roache found not guilty on all charges. Great news and hopefully he'll be back in Corrie soon!

So Ken will be coming back in due course. Kevin Webster was due to be filmng new scenes now but they've had to postpone as Michael Le Vell's drinking heavily again. He blames the stress of the trial.
