This Week, 'Greatest Hits' by Queen, has become only the 3rd UK Album, to reach 900 Weeks, in the Top 100.
Only 2 other Albums have achieved it, since the UK Album Chart began, on W/E 28th July 1956.

THE 3 UK ALBUMS WITH 900 TOP 100 WEEKS

1)... ABBA GOLD -- ABBA -- (1992) -- 948 Weeks

2)... LEGEND -- BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS -- (1984) -- 932 Weeks

3)... GREATEST HITS -- QUEEN -- (1981) -- 900 Weeks

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

THE UK ALBUMS WITH THE MOST TOP 75 WEEKS

1)... LEGEND -- BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS -- (1984) -- 683 Weeks

2)... ABBA GOLD -- ABBA -- (1992) -- 670 Weeks

3)... RUMOURS -- FLEETWOOD MAC -- (1977) -- 649 Weeks -- %%%

4)... GREATEST HITS -- QUEEN -- (1981) -- 630 Weeks

%%% = 'Rumours' has the UK's 4th most Top 100 Album Chart Weeks = 843 Weeks

Thanks for that Colin. I'd been counting down the weeks until it got to 900 and then completely forgot laugh.gif It means I also missed the chance to mention that the only other two albums to hit 900 weeks are also in the current top 40. Interesting to see that all four in the other list are also in the current top 40.

Are the Suedehead Chart Commentaries archived anywhere please? There are some older charts i wish to read up on.

How long have they been going for?

The first one appeared on Buzzjack in April 2009 so they have been going for about eleven years.

I suspect the only way of accessing earlier ones (apart from the few displayed on the front page of the site) is by guessing the URL. The current one is http://www.buzzjack.com/story_284968.html so you can access earlier ones by changing the number. If you know which week's chart you want to read, you should be able to get close to the right number by working out the number of weeks between now and then. I'll try and find out if there is an easier way.

I've checked with the owner and guessing the URL is the only way at the moment. However, it should be easier when we get the new site. The new site has been coming for a few years but it really is quite close now!
