The performance was incredible! It was a shame she only did the newer hits but she’s such a great performer and they’re such good songs!

Her performance was absolutely outstanding, especially Try, but I am disappointed that we didn't hear any of her earlier hits. Just Like Fire is hardly a song I would associate with P!nk's legacy as an artist, although I can't deny that she sold the shit out of it tonight
I would have actually cut Just Give Me a Reason for a pre-10s song, Dan is a woeful vocalist and it's not exactly a vocal highlight for P!nk herself either |

Managed to watch most of this at work last night (and again on the bus on the way home), but I'm way too sleepy now to write about it. So when I get up this afternoon I'm going to watch it again and write about it...or maybe tomorrow, I feel like I could sleep for a week!

It was incredible being there to see it, I'd been wanting to see her perform live for about 17 years so to get a taste of it was a real moment.

I'm so proud of Pink at the moment, everything that is happening, from the star to this performance, its incredible that she is still going so strong and just seems to be getting more recognition.
I haven't watched the Brits for years, I don't really have any interest in new music and wouldn't have even considered watching it this year if Pink wasn't on it, but I had to start work at 9:30pm, so at 10 I went to hide somewhere so I could hopefully watch it on my phone, I just got there in time for her performance to start, so I missed her speech, then someone came into the room I was in, so I had to quickly put my phone away and I went to find somewhere else to hide I missed the last part of JGMAR and most of Try. I managed to watch the whole performance and speech on my way home, then watched it again in the evening after some sleep. The performance was one of her best, the only thing I didn't like about it was the lack of songs from earlier on in her career. Of course the performance of WMH was pre-recorded, but it was good to see it 'live' and I really hope she performs it on tours. I didn't get why she performed JLF. It is a good song, but I don't get why she added it to this medley. I'll share what I think she should've performed later in this post. I get why JGMAR was performed, its one of her biggest hits but I'm kinda tired of hearing it, and I admit I didn't have a clue who Dan was When he came out I was like who the f**k is he, I didn't recognise him or his voice, I did wonder if she just pulled a fan out the audience He was ok, but nothing special. Pink clearly likes him though, and I loved how she let him have his moment and how she looked at him. TRY was probably one of the best performances I have ever seen her do. The visuals were amazing. I have seen stuff like that done before (I think on AGT auditions, but not sure) and always loved watching things like that. If she brings something like that to her tours I would be so happy to see it live. Try was probably my favourite part of the performance...closely followed by the performance of WAU. I love the choreography in the performances of this track, and you can tell she really really means the messages that this song brings out. If I was to change the performance I would probably have picked these tracks: Walk me home So what (she could've done the flying through the arena routine) Just like a pill Try What about us I wouldn't have changed that much really, just added so what and JLAP. How do you fit a 20 year career in ten minutes I also feel like she spent too long on JGMAR, if she had shortened that, either by performing on her own or having Dan only join her on the chorus, she could've probably fit in another song. |

I wish they’d given her 10 songs instead. She could have kept everything and added So What, Just Like A Pill, Who Knew, Trouble and There You Go to cover every era.

Her performance was fab and she really commanded and owned the stage. When she broke into the whole dance routine of What About Us after the exertion she'd already put in I was a little gobsmacked. The woman is a born entertainer and always puts in 110% effort for the people who've paid to come and see her - unlike so many in the industry.
Will have to go and see her again myself. I'm still shook that I was once within 6 feet of her :') E: and I was thrilled that she sung Try! One of my favourites by her or perhaps my favourite. Her late discography is so strong and consistent compared to nearly everyone else from her generation of women singers. This post has been edited by Pëpé Le Pew: 22nd February 2019, 06:23 PM |
