BuzzJack Music Forum _ Little Mix _ Dangerous Woman Tour 2017

Posted by: Matt1989 22nd September 2016, 07:48 PM

Ariana Grande has revealed that Little Mix will be one of the support acts for her US tour next year from 2 February- 15 April.

What an incredible opportunity this is for our girls

Posted by: Electro Paradise 22nd September 2016, 07:49 PM

Super excited about this!

The dates atm: http://www.arianagrande.com/home/#tour

Oh HELL YEAHHHH! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

Amazing for them wub.gif

Posted by: SeanGrey 22nd September 2016, 07:57 PM

Great opportunity for them, definitely a step up from Demi Lovato support act.

Posted by: mr_pmt 22nd September 2016, 10:56 PM

I want to go to this in the UK, if they could be the UK support that would be such a treat (but would never happen in a month of Sundays).

Hope this helps elevate their profile in the US anyway!

So many people online are hoping they are supporting her in the UK! (Not you directly Ally, i don't know how serious you were) they're forgetting that Little Mix are so much bigger here! She's more likely to support them in the U.K.!

I hope this means the Ariana collab rumours are true!

Okay this is amazing news, my 2 current favorite artists in one tour... Booking me some plane tickets to the US!!

Posted by: Matt1989 23rd September 2016, 06:53 AM

There are some big capacity venues on the tour- around half of them are at least 19,000 capacity

Posted by: Joe. 23rd September 2016, 08:11 AM

Annoyingly this means they'll have to miss the Brits this year. I'd actually prefer them to have been at the Brits, likely for another performance and more likely to win. Oh well.

Posted by: shindymindy 23rd September 2016, 08:11 AM

This is going to be amazing for them in the US.

Hopefully we get some promo while out there too - Carpool karaoke, SNL etc.

Posted by: Matt1989 23rd September 2016, 11:15 AM

Little Mix and Carpool Karaoke feels like the perfect combination. With their personalities it kinda has to happen at some point

Posted by: Karl. 23rd September 2016, 12:17 PM

The girls will finally perform at the Madison Square Garden. I'm so proud. yahoo.gif

Posted by: MrLoverboy 23rd September 2016, 02:48 PM

Oh god, I hope they don't skip the BRIT's for this.

Posted by: Joe. 23rd September 2016, 02:50 PM

I can't not be sad about the Brits sad.gif

I mean, there's a bit of hope, right? They could go back to the UK on the 21 and come back after the BRITs for the MSG date.

Posted by: Matt1989 23rd September 2016, 02:53 PM

Tbh I'm actually OK with them missing the Brits. Them not being their is due to them realising their dream of performing at Madison Square Garden

Posted by: Joe. 23rd September 2016, 03:02 PM

I just think it'd be huge for them if they won, and it's no secret that The Brits favours artists that turn up, even though there's still a chance.

I also would LOVE another huge Brits performance.

Posted by: Jonjo 23rd September 2016, 03:06 PM

What date are the BRITs next year?

Also, I'm sure Ariana will be nommed next year? So they could possibly fly in and out with her?

Posted by: Electro Paradise 23rd September 2016, 03:29 PM

When you're a support act are you absolutely committed to every single show? I'm wondering if they do get nominated or invited to the BRITs whether they would cancel one show (if necessary) to attend. I don't blame them not keeping the date free on the off chance, especially when it's such a good opportunity for them in the US.

Posted by: Jonjo 23rd September 2016, 03:36 PM

I believe the BRITS are likely to be on the 22nd, right? Which there is no date scheduled for the tour. If they were to fly out straight after the BRITs and sleep on the plane etc... I can see them doing it! Especially as I said, Ariana is more than likely up for a couple of awards herself. Which is why I'm wondering if that date is empty on purpose? unsure.gif

Posted by: shindymindy 23rd September 2016, 04:11 PM

I hope they left it empty on purpose. Will be such an insane few months for them next year. AMAZING

Posted by: Joe. 23rd September 2016, 04:37 PM

I hope they can fly in too. They're the only UK act that's totally slayed it this year that has the genre of pure pop, so they'd almost certainly get a performance again.

Posted by: Matt1989 23rd September 2016, 06:04 PM

Maybe they could fly back to the UK after the performance in Buffalo? I would have thought Ariana will probably be nominated for International Female

Posted by: SeanGrey 23rd September 2016, 07:35 PM

Nothing stops them from pre recording an acceptance speech if they were to win an award. Disappointing to not have a performance but a BRIT and a breakthrough (potentially) in the US would be two massive steps in their career.

Posted by: caseclosed 24th September 2016, 12:55 AM

It's a no to cancelling one show though, if it is necessary for them to miss one show in order to attend they should've announced right from the start that the Feb 21 date wouldn't feature them, especially given their history with american mixers. It'd be pretty cruel.

Posted by: shindymindy 24th September 2016, 04:33 PM

The amount of people excited at the fact they got tickets to see LM tickets in the US - when the tour actually belongs to Ariana! Incredible for the girls and a very smart move on their part.

Posted by: MrLoverboy 24th September 2016, 06:30 PM

How are we thinking this tour come together?
I'm starting to wonder if they're on the eyes of Scooter Braun... last band to open for Ari was Rixton and they're managed by him.
Little Mix and Ari are under different labels (tho they're under Sony)

Posted by: Serg Mix 24th September 2016, 07:22 PM

They would cancel a show for BRITs if they were nominated, not sure they'll be tho.

Posted by: Matt1989 24th September 2016, 08:34 PM

Interesting question about Scooter Braun. Of course the connection is there with Rixton. I was also wondering if Republic might attempt to poach them from Columbia

Posted by: Matt1989 4th October 2016, 07:20 PM

Because of demand, a second date at MSG has been added on 24 February

Posted by: Jonjo 4th October 2016, 09:22 PM

MSG is my #1 place I want to visit the most right now. So many moments and nostalgia from seeing events on TV and film etc... wub.gif it's amazing that the girls are going to literally be living a dream!!

Posted by: Electro Paradise 31st January 2017, 08:32 PM

Not long now - I'm looking forwards to seeing some tour vids. smile.gif

Posted by: Tinasha 31st January 2017, 09:06 PM

They cancelled the day off before the Brits by the way.

Posted by: Jonjo 31st January 2017, 09:24 PM

That makes sense, but I really hope they'll be there for the MSG show the day after...

Plus, it makes sense as to why Ariana isn't performing tbh (although the BRITs probs got annoyed and didn't bother nominating her coz of it).

Posted by: Matt1989 31st January 2017, 10:25 PM

I can't imagine they'd cancel one of the MSG shows. They may well fly back pretty much straight away after the Brits.

In other news, the girls are now in LA

Posted by: Jonjo 31st January 2017, 11:21 PM

I really hope they get Carpool Karaoke while they're out there! Would be great for them!

Posted by: Tinasha 3rd February 2017, 03:07 PM

Man the crowd was loud! So good to see them get such a great reception in the US

Posted by: Untypical Mixer 6th February 2017, 02:41 PM

Little Mix got a huge reaction from the crowd at both shows so far. For American fans like me, I am so thrilled for them. I absolutely think think they are the best thing in pop music. I have been a pop music fanatic my whole life and for me they are manage to a wonderful throwback to the days of pop that people (Americans) seem to have moved on from. The days when auto tune was used for effect and not fixing vocal shortcomings, strong live performances were just expected, and there were hard working pop stars that cared more about show casing their talent than the level of their celebrity. America is getting the chance to discover a pop act that are talented, fun, funny, hard-working and so appreciative of their fans and all the success they've had. The DWT tour was the perfect platform for them to show why they are one of the biggest acts in the world and that America has been missing out. I can't say know people were thinking, but there's no denying that people are liking what they are seeing. We are only 2 show in. The 3rd is tomorrow in Omaha. I will be going to that show. I will give a full report after the show. If they truly want to make this finally happen. They are going to have to move fast and be on top of every opportunity to raise their profile. They girls are well aware that they are here to not only meet but gain new fans. This tour is a good chance to turn some heads and show America just how bad they have been sleeping on one of the top pop acts in the world.
