I think so because in a week we barely get to ten pages these days whereas 50 pages is the cut off point for any thread which we would still be less than that in a month.

It depends what's released to be honest. The week Kylie released was a busy week and you can bet your life it will be any other week a Buzzjack fav releases, but when there's next to nothing out it is pretty slow.

Probably wouldn't be against that. In fairness I barely ever even visit the iTunes threads these days let alone post in them because they're pretty much just lists of songs moving upwards. Nothing wrong with that of course but there's next to zero discussion anymore.

Is that because the iTunes chart doesn't matter any more really, do you think?

To answer the question in the title, it probably is time to have just a monthly thread now, especially as the iTunes chart is not so influential any more.

I like it the way it is as each chart corresponds to a week of charting which works quite well.

Weekly makes it much easier to scroll back through past topics for reference, I can't see it changing, especially when they still get good post counts.

No but the Spotify thread should move to weekly.

We could definitely do with the Spotify thread changing to weekly tbh, I'm sure it gets a similar level of posts as the iTunes thread and of course it's much more relevant to the weekly charts now than iTunes is.

Spotify used to be monthly but we've reverted back to a new one every 50 pages because the monthly ones weren't getting a load of pages, we usually get about as many Spotify posts a month as we do iTunes ones a week.

We could go back to monthly but weekly is not going to happen.

The thing with Spotify is that it's quite slow moving and updates each day just so even though streams are more important now!
