YES YES YES!!!
SONY IS SOOO MUCH BETTER THAN MARVEL!! They need to dump the Holland movies and do a complete and utter turnaround and do Spiderman 4 with the originals. It will follow the ORIGINAL concept of Spiderman 3 before the studio got involved. Spiderman 5 can deal with an aging Spidey. |

Sony have basically said "lol we don't need you now that we have a billion dollar movie" :')
They're alienating SO many Spider-Man fans with this decision and I can see it backfiring on them. I just don't get why they wouldn't continue their (ridiculously) successful coalition!? It makes no sense to me and it f***s up my OCD of having a consistent universe. :') |

Sony never needed marvel. Their original trilogy was the best ever set of superhero movies. But sony does need to butt out and let the directors and storyboarders do what they want to do.

Sony DO want Marvel, but the issue is Marvel want a 50% cut of the profits for future movies for Feige to work under the brand. Which quite frankly is ridiculous when Marvel own all the merchandise rights etc. - it's literally just the film rights. Sony put up all of the money in the current deal and get about 5-10% of the box office returns so it's low risk, high reward. I think Disney basically wanted Sony to finance future projects but would get a much higher cut. As always it comes down to greed between both parties and the fans are the ones that miss out. I suspect there will be some sort of deal eventually. |

That's right. It takes two to tango. Why are people blaming Sony? It's far more likely Disney and Marvel are the greedy ones.

I also think there will be some sort of deal too, but this article tries to explain it a lot clearer for simpletons like myself aha. (Even more clearer than when I made my original comment )

I always thought it would happen, mainly because it works so much better for both parties. Plus the fans are the ones that miss out.
It does sound to me that the deal sweetner is probably allowing Spiderman to pop up in Sony based films... |

I have yet to see it... but ive heard nothing but good things from it.. it looks gorgeous in terms of how it was made its up there with or exceeeds pixarstyle animation...
Im really sad marvel did it first.. although Spider-Man is one of my favorite super heroes ever.. just behind Superman and captain america I really think this is the avenue Warner Brothers should take their DC characters |
