I love the show but it's been, what, 2/3 years since the last series?! For how much longer can they really keep calling Jake and Ben kids (and Karen must be at least 10+ too by now). I'll give it a chance (and most likely enjoy it anyway).

This is going to be the last series so they have accepted that age of the children (particularly Jake) mean it has a limited shelf life. I've loved the show from the start so it will be a shame to see it end but that's better than the alternative of having adult actors pretending they are still teenagers. They have said there might be the odd one-off special.

I do love this show but from a one-off I saw recently (not sure if it was a Christmas special or something) the only one out of the kids who was still funny was Ben (he is the one with the curly hair isn't he?) I used to love Karen when she was little - but I'm not sure all those things she used to come out with would be as funny now that she's quite a bit older.
I'll stick with it because I do love anything Samantha Bond is in (hopefully she keeps making appearances) and besides - in episode 5 of this series - Harry Shearer from The Simpsons is due to make a special appearance (albeit via a video-link). |

I love this (even if I can't remember much past the 2012 Christmas Special [which really the only good thing about was JAKE *.*]), so am looking forward to watching it! Karen looks so different from the promo pics though!

I love this show! I agree the comic appeal of Karen might be lost a bit from the fact she's older, so what she says would just be stupid really rather than 'aw she's young', but it should still be good!

new series started off slow, but their were some funny bits
karen and her hamster chrisis just cracked me up- thought that was very funny ben didn't impress me that much, if i'm honest. the storyline with the musical didn't really provide many funny bits for some reason tonight's episode reminded me a lot of the royal family, just without all the TV. apart from the funny part with karen, i guess it was only average |

Didn't watch this when it aired, but I watched the following morning and it was a bit rubbish. The only good parts were when Karen was taking the piss out of her "friend" from school and Sue with that cardigan. The rest of it was pretty lame, especially the comedy from both Jake and Ben - it's lost its magic now. :/

Ben's always been the weak link of this show.

Watched this yesterday and I was very disappointed I don't think there were any proper laugh out loud moments, rather a chuckle here and there. Karen was still the funniest of the three kids by far though (that sounds amazingly contradictory).

Ben's always been the weak link of this show. *see the episode in the chess tournament* ben: making battle noises other people in the tournament: 1 more battle noise, and you're out! ben: making horsey noises pete telling him off ben: but that wasn't a battle noise, it was a horsey noise pete (to the tournament leader) same thing ben said hilarious moment!. that is what got me in to the show another episode is with ben and the vickar- love that too! if god was attacked by a polar bear.. what would he do? (and the million other questions) ben and the baby sitter i could go on. ben's like, so cool |

The best episode to-date is the London trip with Sue's multiple toilet embarrassments! I liked the new episode, it was decent enough. Pete's line about not having to be a singer to be in a musical was the best, it was a bit slow throughout though.

I really enjoyed it, maybe because I never really watched any of the older episodes more than once so it's been a while but to me it's just as good as ever.

This week's episode was much better than the first, but still not up to the standard of the previous few series!

I'm glad this is the final series; there's literally nothing exciting about it now apart from staring at Jake in all his beauty each episode.

This week's episode was much better than the first, but still not up to the standard of the previous few series! Agree with this! The stuff at Karen's swimming thing was funny and Sue was on fire tonight. It's really a step down from the last few series, but tbh I'm not disappointed as that's what I expected - it's been a long time. |

Yes, this week's was much more like it. Several proper laugh out loud moments whereas last week's just got a few chuckles.
