Not sure how much an 80s synth soundin track is gonna do tbh

I think this is just a check of her solo popularity

I agree the album is horrendous, but 'Roulette' is a killer song. I hope it happens.

Hello everyone,

'Mind Maze' is an orgasm-inducing, mind-blowing opus.

Katy Perry has marked the one-year anniversary of her fifth studio album, Witness, by releasing a new deluxe edition of the LP -- and some behind-the-scenes footage of the process behind it, too.
In a quick, heartfelt birthday card for the album, Perry reflects on the year she's spent touring in support of Witness and what she's learned from the experience. "Thank you for witnessing me," she writes. "I hope I've helped you feel safe, seen & celebrated while on tour!"

She then pointed fans in the direction of a video of her and her team working on "Power" in the studio, complete with chatter in between takes and snippets of the track in progress. She opens up about her relationship with her mother, and how talks through the inspiration for the lyrics as they come to her.

One of the most underrated albums in history, if not ever. A classic!

Wow I'm a bit shocked at the response! I'm not a massive Katy fan infact I've always found her to be very overrated and samey, but out of curiosity I listened to the whole album and is actually a solid album for me. Love that she's tried something different and experimented with her sound. The title track is very very good and in my opinion the singles are among the weaker tracks on the album. Can't see it being a huge seller but it's kinda good by her standards for me anyways.

I don’t know what I was smoking here but I’ve listened to the album again and only liked four tracks!

It either got old very quickly or I was just being very generous laugh.gif

The 4 tracks I liked were Chained To The Rhythm, Pendulum, Roulette and Witness. Maybe 5 with Bigger Than Me too.

But stuff like Hey Hey Hey, Tsunami, Mind Maze, Bon Appetit, Swish Swish, Save As Draft and Into Me You See are awful.

I’m in agreement with a poster who said some tracks she doesn’t really have the voice to carry off too. Into Me You See is awful vocally almost on Thinking of You levels.

I’m still in respect of her for doing something different though with this campaign but after hearing her all albums as a whole over the last week this is probably bottom of the pile for me.

I go back to 'Roulette' a lot, but aside from the singles that's the only one.

Such an atrocious album. sad.gif

I find Roulette pretty crap to be honest.

Miss You More, Tsunami and Bigger Than Me are the only ones i go back to. Unless you count iconic Japanese bonus track Act My Age.

I like Witness the song and Swish Swish, Bon Appetit the highlight, and Chained.

One of the worst albums I've ever heard.

I never understood the hate across the board that Mind Maze got. Among the album it stood out and at least was doing something different.

Everything about this campaign (singles, album tracks, performances) was a big step down from Prism though, which was itself as an album a step down from Teenage Dream. (still some great high moments, but less consistent imo)

Ed Sheeran? Meghan Trainor? Jessie J?

It's a pretty meh album but I think when people say it's one of the worst ever it's doing too much.

I obviously wouldn't listen to any of that trash over Witness laugh.gif , but it doesn't make Witness any more enjoyable itself.
