Aside from Terra Avium, I think I'm only familiar with the Mulgracia, Hushkanukia, Aeroche and Usfland songs (all great!!) so looking forward to all these discoveries *.*

I have gone jazz fusion for this *.* a bit unexpected for me as you'd probably imagine that I'd flock to huge synthy stuff, but I've had this song bookmarked for absolutely ages and this was the perfect opportunity with it being from 1982 Expecting nothing less than bombing but would be cool if it had a few big fans *.*

PRoJ and South Danaelanda's entries are all-time favourites I don't think I've heard any of the others (apart from possibly Mulgracia's? that rings a bell) although I'll recognise a few from later songs that sampled them. Excited to listen to this anyway! And it's nice to see this theme attracting a good few countries that haven't entered any other recent spinoffs, even with Singerpurear forgetting to enter (</3).

I found my artist by Googling 'artists similar to Kraftwerk' and then just listened to a bunch of random songs by them, they've released literally over 100 albums (not all in the 80s but plenty of them were) so was spoilt for choice, this was the one that stuck with me the most though. It's basically a synthwave song, even though it predates the existence of that genre by well over a decade.

I have no issues with it if it doesn't cause any disruption to Leonardo!

Regarding setting a precedent with Mack, it was fine on this occasion as we were a bit behind on the veto research due to three of us being away last week so we could easily add it to our research to-do list. However, don't take it as us saying we'll be relaxed on the confirmation deadline in future though as usually we'll have done all the research by the afternoon of semis going up and have it all approved and ready to go. Just wanted to get that out there before we end up not allowing a late confirmation in the future and everyone screams "BUT IT WAS DONE BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Updated, to put Chez's new song in, which i've checked wasn't in a spin-off although ironically is what I was planning to enter to the next movie spin-off. Quite a few movie songs entered to this one though, even mine was iconically used in Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous 🎉

I just found that really quickly just now (I'm actually not sure I know anything else by the Pixies, even if I recognise the name) but it's a bit of a tune and I recognise it from Fight Club so woop

Voted! Many of my big faves came towards the start, but it's solid quality throughout, I've made a lot of fantastic discoveries here! I really appreciate that a lot of people went fairly obscure or sent lesser known songs.

*.* At Letitia's song actually being good/the synths reminding me of the music in one of the levels in Super Mario Kart on the SNES.

Also that Berlin song sounds huge, I don't get how that wasn't a huge worldwide smash (seeing as they actually had a massive #1 with Take My Breath Away, so it's not like success was out of their reach).

This is one of my favourite spinoffs to date as I hoped it would be (in my top 3 with Halloween and Instrumentals) <3 Really high quality almost across the board - there were only about 6 songs I didn't care for at all - and it's lovely to see the vast majority of people picking out something fairly obscure or at least non-obvious (i.e. basically what Rich said).

Will be voting in this on Saturday probably x

Just got them in on time! Sorry I've found it hard finding time (would've been easier if there were mp3s tbf cause I'm still #oldskool and use my iPod classic a lot- still wouldn't mind a pack if anyone's making it since I'd love to revisit this contest), had a big assesment at uni today so up until today I've been prepping for that a lot and only got back late today like I've said a couple times, great contest though and with the mini highlights I just went through plus the plug session I'm happy I got my votes right.
