A Star Is Born become Gagas first UK era since her debut to contain both a #1 single and also have the album go to #1 too.
With Born This Way and ARTPOP we only got the albums #1. Joanne didn’t get either nor did Cheek to Cheek (although cheek to cheek did well enough in the UK tbf). If you could only get one for LG6 what would you rather? Gaga get her 6th #1 single or her 5th (or 4th under how it’s credited by OCC #1 album? For me I think I’d always rather her get the albums #1. Singles #1 for me just because I’ve always been way more invested in the singles chart! Her to get both of them in an ideal world

I think another #1 single at this stage would feel like more of an achievement and show that she’s connecting with the general public again, and I think it’s more important/influential when it comes to getting radio support etc. With the fan base, a #1 album sounds a lot easier

I feel like a #1 single would mean more than a #1 album at this point in time, especially as getting a #1 album isn't really seen as much of a huge achievement as it used to be.

Album
Of course a #1 single would be fantastic, but we see so many huge smashes that don't make #1 so I wouldn't be so bothered if the single did the same. I still consider making #1 in the albums a huge deal and I feel like getting a #1 off the back of A Star is Born and after Joanne missed would be such an achievement and a real statement of "I'm back!". I really want that comeback moment and I probably would feel disheartened if someone bigger came along and blocked her, even if it did have decent longevity. |

That’s honestly what made me go with album. I’d feel so happy if the album even managed a top 10 single but albums wise I really hope she gets it. It all depends on the release week but she’s certainly capable |

Single because the album is likely, especially if it's not Nov-Dec release.
