Round 7 'Confetti' evades too much recency bias as it fails to make the top 10 here and settles for unlucky #13 instead! At least it avoided the bottom 5. It recently became their second single to peak at #9 following 'Break Up Song' first achieving this last year. The girls brought in Saweetie for the remix and this propelled a formerly popular promo single to new heights. The girls had always wanted to tackle a video theme where they could walk in the shoes of men in the music industry too and now was their chance. The song concept is quite familiar to Little Mix as they're singing about post-break-up freedom but it's executed in quite a cool, dark fashion production-wise. Proceedings continue to be competitive as 'Confetti' received the exact same percentage of voters as 'Wings' the previous round. Just 10 people picked it to leave in a very split vote. I do love 'Confetti'. But it's in about the correct position!
Thought hard about this one... but... Reggaetón Lento for me now. Everything (+ 'Confetti') is at least an 8.5 out of 10 for me. It's actually ridiculous how much I love their singles. |
