It's been confirmed today TOTP will once again return for two specials this Christmas! Both 60 minutes, on Christmas Day and New Years Eve as usual - hosted by Clara Amfo and Fearne Cotton. |

Quite surprised at that, didn't really think he would be big enough!

I guess it makes sense in a way as it's now 20 years since his first hit but usually they go for someone more popular with the over 50s!

Labyrinth is a shocker there - and yet no other BBC support?!
Pity there's no totp 2 special but there's loads they can repeat. Pity that the Story of totp 1989 is t on until 3rd January! |

I like how they have switched the order of the names for the new years eve one, that will fool people into not realising it is basically the same people performing on Christmas day and new years eve Haha.

Delighted to see performances from Blossoms and Celeste in there too. Hope Blossoms perform the new track but suppose they might be made to play the summer hit!

What an absolutely dull and pedestrian set of line ups (Mabel aside, who I'll just watch on YouTube instead).

I'm the opposite, there's a few surprises like Lily Moore/Dan Caplan, Celeste & Blossoms to name a few.
You expect artists like Tom Walker, Mabel & Lewis. If totp was still on weekly I would say they would have been on 4/5 times this year. |

If totp was still on weekly I would say they would have been on 4/5 times this year. Yeah no issue with the likes of them being on. But Christmas TOTP of course used to be just the biggest hits of the year - in fact for many years every record had to have made at least the top 3 just to get on. But of course now TOTP isn't such a big draw they have to put lesser known acts on. Those line-ups would be perfectly fine for a regular weekly edition, but where are Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish, Stormzy, Ariana Grande, Post Malone, Shawn Mendes... |

I'm surprised Stormzy isn't on there but the others are world wide artists who would be very hard to book 2/3 weeks before Christmas tbf.

Such a dull list. I don’t know why they bother anymore. I remember the Christmas show used to be a pretty big deal with all the biggest hits of the year. They’ve got some of the biggest artists but also an awful lot of filler.
