------
Feel free to speculate here, who do you think will win? Who do you want to win? Will Sam Smith win anything despite being utterly insufferable? Did Leah McFall actually have any 'Giants' to vote for her?
Taylor to smash hopefully
Looking forward to this! I think Taylor's going to do very well.
Totally forgot to vote in this, despite loads of my nominations making it into their respected categories. I was just so busy around Christmas. What a shame. - Still looking forward to the results.
5 minute warning guys!
Go Charli & Tove!
BEST FEMALE SOLO ARTIST
WINNER… TAYLOR SWIFT (18 votes)
Paloma Faith (6 votes)
Cheryl (5 votes)
Ella Henderson (5 votes)
Our first winner is Taylor Swift! 2014 was a fabulous year for Taylor, as she released her first official pop album 1989 and smashed tonnes of records in the US and grabbed two worldwide hits to add to her already extensive collection with Blank Space and Shake It Off. She can start 2015 similarly excellently, and keep shaking off the haters who call her a $l*t with a prestigious Pop Forum Award, and she achieved the most votes of any act in a positive category (more on that later). It’s not even close as Taylor is 12 votes ahead of Paloma Faith, who has one of the biggest selling albums of 2014, Cheryl, who added two #1s to her collection and broke a record for most chart toppers for a solo UK female, and Ella Henderson, who scored one of the year’s biggest hits with Ghost despite only coming sixth on The X Factor in 2012.
BEST MALE SOLO ARTIST
WINNER… SAM SMITH (11 votes)
Calvin Harris (9 votes)
Ed Sheeran (7 votes)
Olly Murs (7 votes)
Our first male winner is Sam Smith… Yay…. Sam was everywhere you turned in 2014, scoring one of the first #1s of the year with Money On My Mind, then following it up with Stay With Me. The public lap him up, but some criticise him for being whiny or needy as all of his songs seem to be about his unrecquited gay crush! Hot (literally, if you’ve seen the Armani pics!!!) on his heels is dance producer Calvin Harris, who released a new album this year featuring collaborations with Haim, Ellie Goulding and John Newman, among others. Sam’s fellow omnipresence Ed Sheeran might have scored the biggest selling album of the year with x, but he flags here by coming joint last! The man who’s booty should be the eighth wonder of the world joins Ed in last place, despite having another strong start to an album campaign, scoring two top 5 hits and a #1 album.
Both are good winners even if not my desired choices!
Very deserved for Taylor! Rather shocked that Sam has won that though, he seems so hated here.
Taylor though, her album is SO overrated on here bad. Happy for Sam Smith however, his singles have got better with each release.
I'm glad Ed Sheeran didn't win!
Paloma should have won
BEST GROUP
WINNER… ONE DIRECTION (9 votes)
Neon Jungle (8 votes)
G.R.L. (7 votes)
The Saturdays (6 votes)
The Vamps (4 votes)
Our best group for 2014 is, perhaps unsurprisingly, One Direction! 2014 saw the release of their fourth album, imaginatively titled FOUR, as well as their top 5 single Steal My Girl and another top 10 in Night Changes, and their dedicated fanbase stood by them here and snatched them a Pop Forum Award to start 2015 in style. This was a close fought thing though, as Neon Jungle are surprisingly just one vote behind off the back of their album Welcome To The Jungle. Even more impressive is G.R.L.’s seven votes, as they only released one single, Ugly Heart, this year! Sadly they were stalled by the tragic death of member Simone in the week that Ugly Heart was released in the UK. Buzzjack favourites The Saturdays flag with just 6 votes after 2014 just saw two flop singles and Frankie coming in the top 3 of Strictly Come Dancing, and boyband The Vamps score only 4 votes - the same amount of top 10 hits they had in 2014.
Go Queen Taylor with her first of hopefully many awards
And any guesses to which artist (and song) I could possibly be listening to right now?
Neon Jungle soo close...
SOCIAL MEDIA ICON
WINNER… Rihanna (11 votes)
Britney Spears (10 votes)
Taylor Swift (8 votes)
Madonna (4 votes)
Known for her controversial posts and often honest and abrasive air, it’s perhaps not a surprise Rihanna is the social media icon for 2014! Perhaps her most remembered moment was her being banned from Instagram due to topless photos circulating, and she is also known for blasting rumours by denying anything and everything first hand on her own social media accounts. Britney runs her close, coming only one vote away from victory, probably largely for her iconic scooter video (more on that one later). Taylor Swift is very interactive on her twitter, and is always pleasing her fans with her tendency to “Taylurk” their profiles. Madonna is arguably a surprising last place, as she is always causing confusion and controversy with her typical gran on twitter posts whilst still trying to be “down wiv da kids 2k15”. Maybe she’ll snatch this in the 2015 awards, given the recent controversy around her Rebel Heart images that depict various dead icons photoshopped to look like the album cover...
I wish Taylor won that award, I absolutely adore her instagram account (still hoping one day she will see my pretty much fan account)
Shocked but pleased that Sam Smith won solo male, not an easy one to call though, thought Calvin might have taken it.
Also surprised at One Direction winning best group, I guess the girlbands split the vote a bit! Very happy with that even though The Vamps were my first choice. Neon Jungle in second though :S
BEST EMERGING POP ARTIST
WINNER… Ella Henderson (11 votes)
Charli XCX (10 votes)
Tove Lo (8 votes)
Meghan Trainor (4 votes)
Perhaps not surprising is that the girl behind one of the biggest hits of the year snatches this title, but what is maybe a little more surprising is Charli XCX coming just one vote away from dethroning her - especially given as she’s technically not really emerging as she’s released two albums before this era And her best song Nuclear Seasons is nearly 4 years (!!!) old now. Anyway, Ella had an amazing 2014 two years after crashing out of X Factor behind Christopher Maloney, Rylan, Union J and ChowMein (and James Arthur but he wasn’t quite as bad!), with a #1 debut single that’s set to cross a million sales (/streams) and a #1 album that’s set to go platinum. Tove Lo is also not exactly emerging either, although her debut album was released this year and she had unexpected international success including a top 3 hit in the US with the glorious Habits. “Controversial” new star Meghan Trainor comes in last, having scored a divisive smash with “skinny bitches” shaming All About That Bass.
YASSSS 1D I voted for The Vamps as they had the better album this year (despite an absolutely AMAZING album from 1D too) but still a very worthy winner there
The Saturdays are use to flopping so it is no shock they flopped here
One of the few categories where I didn't mind if any of them won! Tove got my vote but Ella is deserving also!
Yay for Ella winning but wouldn't mind any of them winning apart from Tovelo. Ghost is definitely one of the best songs this year and the whole album is stunning
I was actually torn between One Direction and Neon Jungle, but opted for 1D in the end. Neon Jungle could have won if I'd gone the other way!
Happy with all the winners besides Sam right now. 1D are decent enough winners, the rest are superb
MOST ANTICIPATED COMEBACK FOR 2015
WINNER… RIHANNA (15 votes)
Adele (5 votes)
Leona Lewis (4 votes)
Madonna (4 votes)
Lena (3 votes)
Sarah Harding (3 votes)
Back to things not even being close after a few tight races, Rihanna smashes all competition to win a second award by achieving 10 more votes than her nearest rival Adele! She’s released an album in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009-2012, but 2013 and 2014 had a notable lack of Ri albums Thankfully she’s treating us to two releases in 2015 - a concept album for upcoming Dreamworks film Home and her new studio album. The great thing about RiRi is that the fact we don’t know what genre to expect really adds to the excitement. The artist behind the biggest selling album of the 21st century so far, Adele, is bound to sell by the bucketload with her expected third album so it’s no surprise she has a few people excited for it. Leona Lewis and Madonna have more promise than their last era given what we’ve heard so far, whilst Eurovision act Lena and Sarah Harding both have their fans on here.
Home is a dreamworks and not Pixar movie
I am so excited for Rihanna's comeback (hope it is something like rated r/loud and not the last 2 bad albums). Also can't wait for Adele and Leona
NEXT ARTIST TO UPGRADE FROM INDIE TO POP
WINNER… JESSIE WARE (10 votes)
Marina & The Diamonds (8 votes)
Rae Morris (6 votes)
HAIM (5 votes)
FKA Twigs (4 votes)
Laura Welsh (0 votes)
Just pipping Marina to the post (despite the fact she’s already gone pop with Electra Heart ) is Jessie Ware, and it’s probably easy to see why. She’s already dabbled in sofer, more radio friendly pop music with her recent biggest hit Say You Love Me, penned by Ed Sheeran. Newbie Rae Morris isn’t far behind, and she might turn to poppier music if she doesn’t experience success off the back of her fairly likely Sound Of 2014 success. R&B flecked indie band HAIM arent’ far behind, I do hope they don’t drop their unique sound for a more poppy one… FKA Twigs’ ethereal sound is so sensual and perfect, but it would be interesting to hear her do pop… Poor Laura Welsh is our first act with no votes, although I’d argue she’s more pop than a couple of those above so has less of a jump to make
BEST PROMOTIONAL TEAM
WINNER… Ed Sheeran (15 votes)
Taylor Swift (12 votes)
One Direction (4 votes)
Meghan Trainor (2 votes)
Sam Smith (1 vote)
Ed Sheeran might have surprisingly trailed a little in the best male category, but he manages to snap this one up from under Taylor Swift’s nose! I’d say it was a rightful win, Ed’s team have played the x era perfectly really - from X Factor performances to price reductions to perfectly timed music video releases. Taylor Swift isn’t far behind, and the 1989 era was handled well too with numerous promo performances, the brilliant web stream annoucement and the partial price reduction first week in the US that helped her almost beat Britney’s record for all time one week sales for a female solo album. Mega sellers One Direction and Sam Smith trail behind, but were also handled quite well with many high profile perfomances, whilst Meghan Trainor manages two votes despite only having one hit this year - it does seem though that she’s being pushed well with her second single though so her label are looking for a Katy Perry rather than a Carly Rae Jepsen.
Well had to give him that one. The promo team haven't put a foot wrong...
Ed's was handled well but Taylor's marketing was flawless. The stream, the single releases and everything was perfect (and at least she releases OA/OS and doesn't hold her songs back forever like Ed did with sing)
I am seriously though going to try not to complain about every award Taylor doesn't win
I love how Sam and Ella have won so far but The Saturdays coming behind G.R.L. and Neon Jungle is just lol worthy, SATS FORUM WHERE ARE YA
EDIT; ADELE NOT FOR 2015 COME BACK YA'LL STRANGE
POP VILLAIN OF THE YEAR
WINNER… Azealia Banks (12 votes)
"Raise your hand if you've ever been personally victimised by Azealia Banks"
Pharrell Williams (6 votes)
Justin Bieber (5 votes)
Ed Sheeran (4 votes)
Chris Brown (2 votes)
Elyar Fox (2 votes)
Jessie J (2 votes)
Meghan Trainor (1 votes)
With the amount of “beef” she’s had on Twitter, it’s probable that most, if not all of her 12 voters will be raising their hand in conjunction with the gif above Her main victim towards the end of the year was Itchy Areola Iffy Azuzu Igloo Australia, who Azealia says cherrypicks the positive parts of black culture for her own gain but ignores everything else (for example the institutional racism storm and shooting of Michael Brown). She’s also baited Lily Allen and Perez Hilton notably! Pharrell Williams is decidedly less confrontational, but Happy has haunted us all for over a year now, becoming the biggest selling song of the year and the 21st century so far (how exactly?!), which is similar to Ed Sheeran’s “crime” of overexposure. Chris Brown released a couple of panned singles and is generally hated, and Justin Bieber also mops up some hate despite not really releasing much this year. Elyar Fox is “known” for two fanbase buy hits, which were hated on here, and Jessie J and Meghan Trainor’s recent hits attracted hate, as does Jessie’s personality (as always)
A deserved win for Ed for promo, I don't think Sam should really be last as he's been everywhere too but I guess Ed stole all his votes. He seems to get more promo than One Direction anyway.
Luckily Elyar only managed one top ten!
POP SAVIOUR OF THE YEAR
WINNER… Taylor Swift (13 votes)
Beyonce (6 votes)
Sia (6 votes)
Ariana Grande (4 votes)
Charli XCX (2 votes)
Tove Lo (2 votes)
Probably unsurprisngly, Buzzjack names Taylor as their pop saviour for 2014 - her second award tonight! Her critically lauded and commercially successful album 1989’s slayage has been discussed at length tonight already, but it also won her new fans with a new style, as country isn’t for everyone! Beyonce is 7 votes behind, but she did save us from a barren January by keeping us ticking over with her wonderful self titled surprise release from December 2013. Sia and Ariana Grande both had hits this year, and experienced success on Buzzjack with their latest albums. Charli XCX and Tove Lo both had surprise hits, perhaps “saving” some Buzzjackers by giving them hope that their faves can smash soon enough, as it was only a year and a half or so ago that Tove had under 1000 followers on Twitter and Habits was looking to go down as an overlooked gem..
BEST SINGLE
Fancy by Iggy Azalea & Charli XCX (10 votes)
Rather Be by Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne (8 votes)
Ghost by Ella Henderson (7 votes)
Shake It Off by Taylor Swift (5 votes)
Blank Space by Taylor Swift (4 votes)
One of the year’s surprise hits Fancy beats fellow smashes from Clean Bandit, Ella Henderson and Taylor Swift! Iggy’s career was kickstarted by this massive grower of an electro-hop song, probably helped by the excellent video <3 Rather Be has sold a million this year but has managed to be too overexposed, whilst Ghost (as has been said multiple times now!) was a rightful smash. Taylor’s two songs split votes and come in the bottom two places despite her two previous award wins, but will she win anything else?
YESSSSS FANCY
Excellent winner!
BEST SINGLE ARTWORK
WINNER… Anaconda by Nicki Minaj (10 votes)
Dark Horse by Katy Perry & Juicy J (5 votes)
Black Widow by Iggy Azalea & Rita Ora (4 votes)
Rather Be by Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne (4 votes)
Salute by Little Mix (3 votes)
Shake It Off by Taylor Swift (3 votes)
What Are You Waiting For? by The Saturdays (2 votes)
I Don’t Care by Cheryl (1 votes)
One of the most iconic and remembered single covers of 2014 has to be Anaconda, so it’s no surprise it won. Completely fitting to the “size queen anthem” of a song, the artwork features Nicki’s famous arse in all its… glory. Ahem. It also inspired some hilarious memes, with faces such as Tina Belcher from Bob's Burgers, Marge Simpson and even Queen Elizabeth photoshopped onto Nicki's body! With half of Anaconda’s votes, Katy Perry’s Dark Horse with its wondefully crafted artwork is in second, whilst Iggy’s simple but effective Black Widow artwork is third, tied with Clean Bandit’s geometrically focused single cover. Bringing up the rear are Buzzjack faves The Saturdays and X Factor judge Cheryl with their relatively simple artwork.
BEST DEBUT SINGLE
WINNER… Ghost by Ella Henderson (14 votes)
Ugly Heart by G.R.L. (11 votes)
Hideaway by Kiesza (8 votes)
All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor (1 vote)
Unsurprisingly, Ella snatches this one, her second award! But I won’t talk about her success again G.R.L. coming only three votes behind her is perhaps more surprising They had a shock hit with the simple but wonderful ukulele led pop song Ugly Heart, and hopefully they move past the tragedy of Simone Battle’s death and keep up the good work. A song I nominated for most overrated single (oops) is just a few votes behind, Kiesza’s deep house influenced #1 Hideaway. Poor Meghan Trainor is miles behind with only one vote for her smash hit debut single.
Any of those tracks would have been worthy winners but Hideaway would have been most ideal. Oh well guess it'll have to win the dance forum awards instead!
Oh dear, worst possibly winner for artwork. Just because it's the most easily remembered without a google search doesn't make it good or worthy of "best" imo. Not that the standard of the category was high but I liked the Black Widow artwork.
Ghost is very worthy and very pleased to see G.R.L. doing really well with my favourite song of 2014
MOST OVERRATED SINGLE
WINNER… All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor (9 votes)
Stay With Me by Sam Smith (8 votes)
Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran (7 votes)
Crazy Stupid Love by Cheryl Cole & Tinie Tempah (5 votes)
Shake It Off by Taylor Swift (5 votes)
Meghan finally manages to win an award… Sadly this isn’t a positive! Just ahead of megahit #1s from the kings of 2014 exposure Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, All About That Bass apparently has too much love in the eyes of Buzzjack! Cheryl and Taylor Swift bring up the rear, unsurprisingly in the case of the former given I don’t think it’s rated that much in the first place
Overrated depended on the angle it was viewed from. Stay With Me and Thinking Out Loud are obviously massive hits but not particularly rated on Buzzjack. All About The Bass itself gets a lot of hate but seems to have more fans on here so that won it for me
Crazy Stupid Love is marginally worse but isn't really rated whichever way you look at it
MOST UNDERRATED SINGLE
WINNER… What Are You Waiting For? by The Saturdays (8 votes)
Glow by Ella Henderson (7 votes)
If I Go by Ella Eyre (5 votes)
Say You Love Me by Jessie Ware (5 votes)
Stupid Little Things by Anastacia (4 votes)
Welcome To The Jungle by Neon Jungle (3 votes)
The Saturdays finally win something They didn’t have the best 2014, with this song barely scraping top 40 amid criticisms it was generic etc., but they have a huge fanbase on this site that clinches them this award! Ella Henderson misses out on a third award by just one vote with her understated second single Glow, whilst Ella Eyre and Jessie Ware tie on 5 points with two hits that had potential to do so much better than they did Sprock queen Anastacia, with one of her best songs and certainly her best in YEARS, brings up the rear along with Neon Jungle’s third single.
Don't see how that's underrated at all.
If I Go though...
I like the song but it's hardly underrated Jessie Ware & Anastacia's tracks are far more underrated.
BEST COLLABORATION
WINNER… Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars (10 votes)
Fancy by Iggy Azalea & Charli XCX (9 votes)
Up by Olly Murs & Demi Lovato (6 votes)
Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj (4 votes)
Black Widow by Iggy Azalea & Charli XCX (3 votes)
Can’t Remember To Forget You (0 votes)
A male song wins over fully female songs? And over “single of the year” Fancy too, odd. This was a shock to me, but Uptown Funk has caused a frenzy and already spent weeks at #1 following an early release after Fleur East’s showstopping performance on the X Factor semi final (which itself was an itunes #1), and is very likely to end up in the end of year top 5 in 2015 (I'd not be surprised if it was #1 actually depending on other releases...) The beautiful Olly Murs and one of my queens Demi are in third with their collaboration Up, followed by three of the biggest divas in pop with Bang Bang. Iggy has a second song here with Black Widow, and, even though on paper it’s aBuzzjack dream) the damp squib of a song from Rihanna and Shakira gets 0 votes.
SURPRISE SMASH OF THE YEAR
WINNER…. You Ruin Me by The Veronicas (8 votes)
Boom Clap by Charli XCX (7 votes)
Stay High (Habits Remix) by Tove Lo & Hippie Sabotage (6 votes)
Chandelier by Sia (6 votes)
Ugly Heart by G.R.L. (3 votes)
You Got It All by Union J (3 votes)
Fancy by Iggy Azalea & Charli XCX (2 votes)
Ghost by Ella Henderson (0 votes)
A definite shock hit, it’s no surprise that You Ruin Me wins this one! I still remember hearing it on Heart in the car, and being excited that it might go top 40 So yay, it was good that it actually gave them a second top 10 after 2009’s fabulous Untouched. This one was a close contest though, as there was one vote between You Ruin Me and Boom Clap. Tove Lo was close enough too, just two votes behind, as is Sia. Two group singles from G.R.L. and Union J, as well as a smash from Iggy Azalea and an obvious from first listen hit from Ella Henderson bring up the rear.
SURPRISE FLOP OF THE YEAR
WINNER… Can’t Remember To Forget You by Shakira & Rihanna (19 votes)
Home by Leah McFall & will.i.am. (8 votes)
Not Giving Up by The Saturdays (4 votes)
What Are You Waiting For? by The Saturdays (3 votes)
Whilst it’s so underrated according to Buzzjack, apparently What Are You Waiting For wasn't a surprise flop at all That title instead goes to Shakira and Rihanna, who just made top 20 for a week or so despite this being a smash on paper. The Voice’s “ready made popstar” Leah McFall limped in at #56 with her debut single Home, even when assisted by will.i.am. - ouch. The Saturdays bring up the rear, and Not Giving Up was probably expected as a bit of a flop - although it did about as well as expected.
Although You Ruin Me achieved the higher peak, CRTFY was much more of a smash in terms of sales & longevity. I guess the overriding factor here is that given the names on the record many would have been expecting a massive number 1 smash on the scale of Beautiful Liar!
I voted Leah McFail for Flop of the Year actually, I guess CRTFY didn't completely live up to its potential but at least it was a decent sized hit, Home didn't even go top 40
BEST ALBUM
WINNER… 1989 by Taylor Swift (13 votes)
FOUR by One Direction (7 votes)
Chapter One by Ella Henderson (6 votes)
Queen Of The Clouds by Tove Lo (4 votes)
Sheezus by Lily Allen (2 votes)
Taylor continues her slayage with another award, this time for best album! As has already been said, this album was successful critically and commercially, and has been hugely well received on here. One Direction are a few votes behind with the imaginatively titled fourth album FOUR, whilst Ella Henderson puts up a fight with her debut Chapter One. Tove Lo’s Queen Of The Clouds is yet to be released in the UK, but still beats a UK #1 from Lily Allen.
BEST ALBUM ARTWORK
WINNER… A Perfect Contradiction by Paloma Faith (12 votes)
1989 by Taylor Swift (7 votes)
Only Human by Cheryl (7 votes)
Queen Of The Clouds by Tove Lo (4 votes)
Sheezus by Lily Allen (3 votes)
Taylor beat her to best female artist, but Paloma gets her own back by snatching the award for best album artwork with her stunningly busy yet simple artwork! Taylor’s 1989 cover, which fits well with the Polaroid theme of the booklet, is 5 votes behind, tied with Cheryl’s stunningly beautiful cover for Only Human. The same bottom two as we saw in album of the year trail behind, bringing up the rear.
Hahaha so pleased Azealia won villain of the year. Thoroughly deserved, yet it's one of the reasons I love her.
The Veronicas are very deserving, pleased to see Union J pick up some votes, even if it wasn't a long-term smash, who would've thought they'd achieve an iTunes #1 and an official top 2 after how well they'd done previously. Also happy to see Ella pick up no votes as I didn't really think it fitted the category.
Agog at "Home" picking up so many votes, as much as I really like the song I can't say the chart performance surprised me. Smells like a Ryan fix x
BEST MUSIC VIDEO
WINNER... Fancy by Iggy Azalea & Charli XCX (15 votes)
Human by Christina Perri (7 votes)
Blank Space by Taylor Swift (6 votes)
Shake It Off by Taylor Swift (6 votes)
Iggy wins her second award tonight, and for the same song! Fancy’s brilliant video is inspired by one of the best films of all time, Clueless <3 Human is a surprise second placer perhaps, but the video is very effective and consistent with the message of the song. Taylor again has two nominations here, but both bring up the rear despite being acclaimed videos.
BEST FANBASE NAME
WINNER… Beyonce’s Beyhive (16 votes)
Katy Perry’s Katycats (5 votes)
Taylor Swift’s Swifties (5 votes)
Leah McFall’s Giants (4 votes)
Justin Bieber’s Beliebers (3 votes)
QUEEN B’S BEYHIVE SLAY YAASSS!!!!!!11!!11! All of these names are quite clever, and they cover many people (except Leah, as the “Giants” failed to take her wonderful song top 40 and the name isn’t a clever pun or related to her name). The continuing buzz (*badoom tssk*) around Bey’s album release from December 2013 made sure the Beyhive had lots to be excited over in 2014.
Don't recall even hearing 'Beyhive' before
Still not sure how Leah is getting more than one vote
BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE

Nicki Minaj - Anaconda (AMAs) (0 votes)
Taylor Swift - Shake It Off (The X Factor UK) (0 votes)
The Common Linnets are perhaps a surprise winner, but they lead this saturated pack. Even in the week of Eurovision, nobody would have ever thought that the song would do as well as it did, but it placed second following a stunning performance and made the UK top 10 Being a song from the Eurovision luck black hole The Netherlands, and a country song, it’s all the more astounding! Other notable cotenders came from Sia’s unconventional Ellen performance in which turned away from the audience and Little Mix’s Salute, which was a standout Britain’s Got Talent perofmance that really brought the song alive.
WORST LIVE PERFORMANCE
WINNER>>IDINA MENZEL & MICHAEL BUBLE - BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE (THE X FACTOR UK) (12 votes)
Cheryl - I Don’t Care (The X Factor UK) (9 votes)
Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You (Rockerfeller Center) (6 votes)
Labirinth - Jealous (The X Factor UK) (4 votes)
Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass (The X Factor UK) (2 votes)
And on the oppoiste end of the scale, an X Factor UK saturated category is won by Idina Menzel! Her performance on the X Factor semi final was sold by “special guest” Michael Buble, but the two seemed unrehearsed and like drunk karaoke! But at least the visuals from the man crush Michael Buble distracted me Cheryl is just three votes behind with a mimed performance of I Don’t Care, and shockingly even further behind is the infamously flat Mariah perofmance with not a note in key! Two other X Factor perofmances bring up the rear.
Yassss Common Linnets, make me proud!
Both very understandable winners there!
ULTIMATE POP MOMENT OF 2014
WINNER... BRITNEY SPEARS' SCOOTER VIDEO ON INSTAGRAM / INSTAGRAM MOMENTS (12 votes)
Taylor Swift selling over a million of 1989 in the first week in the US and smashing various records (10 votes)
Cheryl achieving her record-breaking 5th #1 with I Don't Care (6 votes)
Taylor Swift's web stream to announce 1989 and subsequent music video and on-air/on-sale digital release of Shake It Off (5 votes)
Our final award winner is Britney Spears, who didn't even release anything in 2014! Slay. This is mostly down to her iconic scooter video on Instagram, which can be seen above. I have no idea what's so funny about it but I can't stop watching Amazing. Taylor Swift just falls short of ending the night with another award, as her 1989 first week slayage is two votes behind Britney. Cheryl's fanbase struggles to match up to this top 2, whilst Taylor's web stream to reveal the 1989 era and the lead single Shake It Off gets only half the votes of her other 2014 event.

Wait did I completely miss the "too good to be an album track" post?
Fantastic winner anyway, please release it this year Katy.
Oh Christ I forgot that one Sorry, proper tired today!
It was Walking On Air with 12 votes, One Last Time by Ariana Grande with 8 and then Wildest Dreams and Out Of The Woods by Taylor Swift both on 6.
And the bonus track one was Wonderland with 11 votes, One Direction's Change Your Ticket with 6 was tied with Taylor's New Romantics, then Lily Allen's Wind Your Neck In with 3.
No worries! That was one of the rounds I was most interested in as it's harder to tell unreleased tracks' popularity compared to much of the other more predictable rounds
'Walking on Air' should have been a single
Wow, really pleased with the results, especially The Common Linnets and the Britney scooter video! There were quite a few surprise winners which was great to see. Thanks for the results, Liam!
