Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 22/02 to 28/02 chart



Imagine Dragons' first #1 album or is it smoke and mirrors?
It's a quite release schedule this week so Ellie Goulding should have no problem earning a third week at #1 with 'Love Me Like You Do', matching the amount of weeks 'Burn' spent at #1, albeit with lower sales. New entries may include LuvBug, the dance trio including ex-JLS member Marvin Humes, with 'Revive (Say Something)', Britain's Got Talent 2014 runners-up Bars and Melody with 'Keep Smiling' and possibly new singles from Florence + the Machine and Taylor Swift will climb into the Top 40.

Imagine Dragon's second album Smoke + Mirrors is likely to be #1 in the album chart, however it could match the peak of their debut, Night Visions, if Sam Smith's sales hold up well enough. New entries to the Top 10 should include Charli XCX's Sucker and Texas' Texas 25 whilst elsewhere Thunder's Wonder Days, Idlewild's Everything Ever Written, Susanne Sundfør's Ten Love Songs, Marika Hackman's We Slept Last Night, Ne-Yo's Non-Fiction and Steve Earle & The Dukes's Terraplane should debut.

Ahead of the show on Wednesday 25th, Brit Awards 2015 may enter at #1 in the compilations if it can overtake the Fifty Shades of Grey OST.

Tuesday/Thursday - There will be no mids from MW for Tuesday and Thursday, however they may come from other sources - this is not always guaranteed. You can still post your own predictions for the week to generate chat to the topic.

Wednesday - Radio 1 Chart Top 40 mid update will be posted with links to Radio 1 and any other chart info from MW and OCC from 3:30pm to 4pm

Friday - Final Mid update from MW from 11am onwards. Sales info is a separate issue will be available from 2pm onwards if available.

Is that Texas album a collection?

With platinum selling debut Imagine Dragons MUST be #1 with sales of 30k at least, no excuses. Everything else would be disappointment.

I'm almost certain Imagine Dragons will make #1 with their album. I hope Charli XCX manages top 10, her album hasn't gotten off to a great start on iTunes. I also hope she can manage a second week top ten with 'Doing It'

I live in hope Imagine Dragons can maintain that lead, it's healthy enough but it could be eaten away. I suppose ID are popular amongst casual buyers, don't do a Kodaline please!

It would be lovely if Weeknd could stay in the top 5, what an amazing result for them, that would be.

Also, great to see Florence so high, I assume streaming is helping her.

Is Charli XCX #7 or 8 in the singles?
