I saw that question when I was researching earlier and it got me thinking. What do you think is the saddest Taylor song?

Hard to pick but I'll say 'Ronan' just because that was the first to come into my head. Really sad subject matter!

'Soon You'll Get Better' is definitely up there Yep same here. There's definitely quite a few up there (Ronan is a great mention, the bridge of All Too Well breaks me every single time, my tears ricochet) but in terms of saddest, I don't think any have hit me anywhere near as hard as Soon You'll Get Better. That song just came out at a certain time to co-incide in quite recent events in my life to emotionally hit me like a rollercoaster, I remember full-on sobbing to it during the week it was release, probs the most I've ever had just a full on cry to a song. Nothing really comes close in her discography in terms of sadness to me, such a beautiful and heartbreaking song. |

The one that comes to mind for me is epiphany, these lines in particular:
Something med school did not cover Someone's daughter, someone's mother Holds your hand through plastic now "Doc, I think she's crashing out" And some things you just can't speak about It makes me have flashbacks of when I watched my grandma die, there's nothing sadder in the world than witnessing something like that. |
