Welcome to the second heat of Buzzfestivalen 2015. I can see what you are all thinking, why is Ryan creating yet another topic especially one that needs someone to have a personality and one which has nothing to do with him? Well Tom has asked one of us moderators to put up this thread for him so the voting can commence. Tom will still be collecting and presenting the results though! So this is a good time to reiterate that you need to send your votes via PM to Tom Kaymakoski (CLICK HERE TO PM TOM) using the following points system: 12 - Your favourite melodi 10 08 06 04 02 00 - Your least favourite melodi Voting will close at 5pm on Sunday 22nd March (there's only 7 songs so 4 days is plenty and we can keep on schedule), although this is subject to change depending on when Tom wishes to present the results. So now, here the 7 songs you need to rank: Melodi 1 | Linus Svenning - Forever Starts Today After finishing 5th in Melodifestivalen in 2014, Linus hoped to go four better this year however he had to go through Andra Chansen once again and ended up finishing 6th. With both of the Andra Chansen qualifiers from this heat going through to the final (more on Samir & Viktor later), I guess this makes this the most successful heat! Melodi 2 | Emilie Irewald - Där och då med dig Emilie was the pre-heat outsider and defied all expectations by managing to finish an impressive 6th, beating Marie & Sanne by a landslide of just over 200 votes. So well done her! Melodi 3 | Samir & Viktor - Groupie Apparently big stars in Sweden on the reality TV circuit, these were predicted by bookmakers to go straight to the final. However, they had to go via Andra Chansen and finished 8th in the final despite a landslide victory against Behrang Miri possibly due to the app crashing a few songs into the final. Melodi 4 | Neverstore - If I Was God For One Day I haven't actually heard this song, but looking at the type of artist this is - surely Iz's 12 points are sorted? This song had involvement from Thomas G:son yet underperformed and finished only 5th in the heat. I doubt there will be an improvement for them in Buzzfestivalen but if Iz starts a hype campaign then you never know. Melodi 5 | Marie Bergman & Sanne Salomonsen - Nonetheless Two Melodifestivalen veterans teamed up for this, however they finished last in the heat. Marie hoped to add a fourth Melodifestivalen win to her collection but it really wasn't to be. Melodi 6 | Magnus Carlsson - Möt mig i Gamla Stan Despite being the pre-heat favourite, Magnus sneaked through to the final by just a few thousand votes thanks to getting more round 2 votes than Samir & Viktor. Magnus was one of the favourites to win the whole competition in the early stages, but the hype never really got started and only finished 9th. However, a video of his performance containing a sign language interpreter did go viral over the last few days but it was too little way too late. Melodi 7 | Mariette - Don't Stop Believing It's perhaps shocking to think Mariette was only fifth favourite heading into this heat, considering she was outright favourite to win immediately after her performance. While her hype steadily slowed as Mans and Jon Henrik battled it out between themselves, Mariette performed well in the final finishing third thanks to a high vote from the international juries. There has been speculation that this could lead to Miss Li, writer of the song, entering the competition herself next year. Enjoy! |

Thanks for opening this Ryan.
I think I like Nonetheless more than most people (as in, I can recall how the melody goes from memory), but it's still a big comedown from the almighty Du & Jeg and gorgeous Stjärnorna. Groupie och Mariette <3 |

Thanks for opening this for me Ryan Sorry guys, work commitments and medical stuff has just made it impossible to get this together. Things should be quieter next week though. Particular apologies to Vulker and Martyn.

You wanted to host a heat, and I ended up only half-hosting one.
Anyhoo, any more votes for this? I may post the results early this evening so you have 3-4 hours i guess. |

VI HAR ETT RESULTAT
Unfortunately if you want the full HD treatment I'm probably not going to be able to announce them until the morning. If you're OK with text only though I can do it right now... Actually I guess that everyone is a bit distracted by BJSC tonight idk. Is tomorrow cool? This post has been edited by Tom Kaymakoski: 23rd March 2015, 05:01 PM |
