Starts Thursday 20th April on Channel 4 @ 9pm. The series consists of 4 episodes.
It sounds and looks really good! I love a good Channel 4 drama (they seriously need to follow in the BBC's footsteps and do even more) so I'm really looking forward to this. It's also directed by Bruce Goodison who helmed a couple of Doctor Foster episodes so it looks like the show is in good hands!

The four-part thriller is a haunting exploration of the mind of Sam, played by newcomer Jack Rowan, a teenager who’s on the verge of acting out hidden psychopathic desires. He lives with his protective mum Jenny (Romola Garai), a geriatric nurse, and thinks his dad died in a car crash…
While working at the local hospital, Jenny meets the charming Bill (Daniel Mays). New to town with his moody teenage daughter Chrissy, played by rising star Lara Peake, Bill’s trying to reconnect with his elderly mother Margaret (Elizabeth Counsell, Song For Marion). Just as Jenny and Bill start to hit it off, their kids meet at school and also form an instant attraction. Sam feels like he’s finally met someone that he can relate to, but does she really share his desire… to kill?
At the same time, Jenny learns that her ex, Sam’s dad, a violent man named Peter (Richard Coyle, The Fall), is nearing his parole date. Jenny must now face telling her son that not only is his father alive, he’s also a convicted murderer.
As this menacing four-part drama unfolds, decades of deceit unravels as Jenny, Sam and Peter’s long buried past comes back to haunt the fractured family. Will Jenny discover, despite her best efforts, that Sam and his dad are more alike than she could have ever imagined?

I saw the trailer today and it does look really good! I will actually watch this one and not put it off like I did with No Offence, oops!

Four part thriller about a psychopathic boy. Looks like it may be good.

The show has already attracted critical praise, having been favourably compared to the film adaptation of Shriver’s award-winning novel in the way it depicts domestic life, examining how psychopaths can emerge and whether they are born or made.

Very quirky, maybe a little too odd for me to get into properly, although that very factor is kinda what makes it so intriguing. I'll give it another go next week.

I was interested in this and it was certainly a striking first episode, Sam is really excellently portrayed and it seems to be really going somewhere. I'll hopefully stick with this, Channel 4 do drama so much better than BBC/ITV do.

Tbh I didn't find the ending that powerful because I was literally waiting for that to happen almost the whole episode.

It took ages to get going (mainly because I had HOURS of ads to sit through because of C4's shitty catch up service) but it was decent. The ending was expected but I am interested to see where it goes and how far it can go.
Sam is cute (DESPITE his obvious flaws don't judge me 
)

Glad I stuck with it as this second episode held my attention well; some tense scenes and somehow intriguing to figure out what the hell is going through his mind.

Put Adblock on after the opening set of ads, it fast forwards through the rest! (It's a bit slow though lol)
This episode was gooood, I'm really quite into this now. I'm wondering how much more psychotic he can get though and we're only in episode 2 (I must've missed where he got those pills for Kathryn from as well?

Great second episode. Wonder if and when his dad comes back on the scene then. Maybe he gets parole and will turn up at their door.

Well it's been dark and entertaining but, watching the final episode, I kind of thought to myself "what was the point of this series?". We were no closer to finding out why Sam is the way he is and it seemed the show was even trying to make us sympathise with him and realise he's "not that bad" because his dad was worse. The support website announcement appeared at the end and I found myself asking "what the f*** for exactly?!". 
Like I say, it was an enjoyable watch, but on a very superficial level and not as psychologically engaging as one would expect.

Mmm, I can see that, I did think it was a bit weird we were made to sympathise with him after he reunited with his mother right at the end after all he did, and what happened to Chrissie was a bit brushed over too. But I guess it's quite hard with someone like that to truly explain their actions? It was certainly a well done portrayal, Jack Rowan's clearly got a bright future ahead of him.
But it was an amazing finale nonetheless of a brilliantly gripping if extremely difficult to watch at times series, I certainly hope we see more daring TV like this.

It was certainly more like the sort of programme Channel 4 was originally set up to produce. I hope Jack Rowan (Sam) gets a suitably different part for his next big job so he can get the chance to play someone rather less creepy.
