Really good interview with the NME out today! Adam Hann of The 1975 plays guitar on 'Dynasty'. |

Not really feeling 'Chosen Family' on first listen tbh 'Comme Des Garçons (Like the Boys)' + 'XS' are two of my favourites of the year so far though

'Chosen Family' sounds like a song I've heard a million times before - I don't think it's reminding me of any song in particular, it just has the pure essence of like... late 00s semi-R&B flavoured pop? I saw someone in the YouTube comments comparing it to 'Bleeding Love', I don't hear that particular song but this probably could pass for a Leona song.
4 very different songs released from this album so far! I've not loved any of them but the last 3 have all been fairly good, 'XS' my favourite of them, it's like Britney's 'Gimme More' if it was good ~ |

This is shaping up to be one of the albums of the year.
Everything so far has been so strong. This is already one of my favourites Singing our hearts out to Carly...ugh, relatable queen |

'Comme Des Garçons' and 'XS' are lifechanging. STFU is really solid as well, as some of y'all have said Chosen Family is a bit bleh.
So hyped to listen to this later <3 EDIT: I just listened to 'Bad Friend' and omg the return to form. The production is so lush This post has been edited by Andrew.: 17th April 2020, 12:51 AM |

Actually I find Chosen Family not bad but it does sound typical of a modern ballad. Bad Friend sounds a bit meh for me but I think it is just not my cup of tea.

Everything I heard leading up to the album was just not for me whatsoever, but I did listen to the album today after noticing some good reviews, and as a collection it does actually work. I'd listen again. It kind of sounds like it could be the soundtrack to an edgier Lindsay Lohan movie

Giving this my first proper spin. So far it's flowing really well despite the fact all songs are so different!

This is one of my albums of the year, XS and Bad Friend are the highlights but I also love Paradisin and Dynasty - not a bad track tbh!
I would love her to have SOME sort of success with it all but she really has all the odds against her . |

Lovely album, 'Paradisin'' is so happy (probable rivalling 'STFU' as the best track on here) and that opening spiel of tracks is <3
oh and the DRAMA on 'Who's Going To Save You Now?'! |

Definitely one of the albums of the year. WHAT a debut.
Dynasty is such an incredible opener and the quality just stays at that level throughout. Everything about it is so spot on. |

I'd literally never heard of her until a few weeks ago but I quite liked XS so I just decided to give this a listen and I'm glad I did! A really strong album with great variety of style. Her voice is pretty lush too. Just seen on the chart thread though that this isn't even Top 100 in the mids, a real shame
