Posted by: mr_aly Dec 3 2014, 06:26 PM

YAY for 'Uptown Funk', love that so much at the moment.

Didn't expect to see MJB make the playlist again, good for her!

I hope '7/11' doesn't actually become a hit. puke.gif

Excellent that MJB is getting support, haven't heard the song yet but seen as she's 43, there go all the ageist theories tongue.gif

QUOTE(mr_aly @ Oct 22 2014, 04:50 PM) *
I suspect it's more of a very rare exception, kind of like 'On The Floor' was. I guess the Disclosure association has swung it.

heehee.gif Do you still think this Aly?

~

'7/11' added *.* R1 getting ratchet.

Such a bizarre time to add 'Body Language'?!

Posted by: harryflynn0908 Dec 3 2014, 06:31 PM

It's held up relatively well on iTunes so they're probably willing to support it now and turn it into a hit of sorts now it's shown to be popular without them. And Tinashe.

Just noticed this. How strange indeed unsure.gif

Ugh, i want this to be her biggest single but no way is that happening.

Posted by: steve201 Dec 3 2014, 06:55 PM

Strange that ariana is gone considering its impact date was 15/12 was it not? Maybe they'll play her Xmas effort now until the end of the year.

Great for Mary J, hopefully it helps her album sell more it deserved so much better than No40

Posted by: Simon. Dec 3 2014, 07:01 PM

Yes Mary wub.gif no idea she was releasing that next though.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 Dec 3 2014, 07:17 PM

Uptown funk wub.gif
I am really falling in love with this

Posted by: steve201 Dec 3 2014, 07:19 PM

Uptown Funk is Brillant has a real retro vibe - it's on Spotify now so it could rise quite decently in the coming weeks. Hope it sells massively in January and they don't leave it too late!

Posted by: MistleJoe. Dec 3 2014, 07:21 PM

Yeessss 7/11!

Posted by: James1987 Dec 3 2014, 08:14 PM

Mark Ronsons track has really grown on me in the last week or so, I could see this being 2015's Rather Be!!

Nothing else doing it for me this week, haven't heard the Tchami track yet...

Posted by: December Dec 3 2014, 08:14 PM

7/11! ohmy.gif cheer.gif

Posted by: Eth▲n Dec 3 2014, 08:16 PM

*.* Tchami - inspired addition right there! yahoo.gif wub.gif

Great that Alesso, New World Sound/Thomas Newson, and Philip George are climbing the playlist grades~ cheer.gif

Can't believe people actually like '7/11'. It's just a horrendous, noisy mess of a song. Just coz it's Beyoncé, doesn't mean it's any good. So to see people bash 'Harlem Shake', yet praise this is just bizarre to me as it's literally no different haha. sad.gif

Tinashe getting that double playlisting though!

Posted by: Juranamerryxmas Dec 3 2014, 08:22 PM

'Uptown Funk' is something that will be lapped up by retro bars in the future, no doubt. It sounds brilliant, will deservedly be MASSIVE.

Well I'm not in any way a fan of Beyoncé (if anything I'd be tempted to think a song is BAD because it's her although of course I am an impartial listener happy.gif) and I love '7/11' ~

Then again I also love 'Harlem Shake'.

Posted by: johnnyorfino Dec 3 2014, 08:29 PM

Not them dropping Love Me Harder one week before it's release and the day after she visited their studios nono.gif

I really love Harlem Shake so I guess your point makes my 7/11 love justifiable~

Good to see 7/11 doing stuff though

Posted by: darrens94 Dec 3 2014, 09:16 PM

Didn't think they would take Bastille off before its released

Posted by: jase. Dec 3 2014, 10:54 PM

BODY LANGUAGE wub.gif Such a huge sounding hit, hopefully it takes off in January biggrin.gif

Posted by: mr_aly Dec 3 2014, 11:11 PM

I just listened to that 'Body Language' song for the first time, what was the point in even having Tinashe on it just for a few muffled background lines? I'm disappointed as I was hoping she'd be prominent for at least one part of the track.

Posted by: Mango Ho Ho Dec 4 2014, 12:03 AM

Yeah I completely don't get why Ariana and Bastille's songs have been taken off before release, that's just odd. Most surprising thing for me this week though is Professor Green stalling on the B-list for a third week, they seem to be all over him at the moment so thought he'd definitely be A-listed.
