I lose myself inside your mouth 19. Again Again // 4.75 First out it's one of Gaga's earliest songs ever written. A version of the song was released on the Canadian edition of The Fame, and as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of The Fame Monster. Gaga played the song multiple times in New York, in 2006, when she was first starting out as an artist and it has that raspy sound to the vocals and instrumental. Not her most signature or memorable song, it favoured very poorly here and is officially Buzzjack's least rated Gaga ballad. Oop- |

Again Again takes me back to pre-megastar Gaga It's cute but obviously not one of her better ballads!

I think it's probably less well-known than Brown Eyes which is why it's come below it. It is one of her weakest ever songs for me so i'm not complaining at it taking home the wooden spoon :')

What exactly do people not like about The Fame ballads? I've never been able fathom it.

What exactly do people not like about The Fame ballads? I've never been able fathom it. For me, they are so unadventurous. Songs about pining after a guy and his brown eyes... compared to what came later when she sung about her father's heart condition / her addiction to drugs / her deceased friend Sonja and the girls that supported her in her life / and obviously the ASIB singles.. The ones from The Fame are just so tame in comparison. Her vocals also have taken time to mature on ballads too and she has perfected it in ASIB. They're not TERRIBLE songs per se, but in comparison, I can't really return to them when there is so much better to come following the debut. |

That all makes sense, if we're comparing them to her other ballads then I get why they might be considered weaker. I've just never understood how people actively dislike them. They sound just fine among the other songs on The Fame, they're sung well and have character.

To me, the whole The Fame album is just a preview of her and a sign of things to come. She is nowhere near her potential there apart from 3-4 smash hits.

They're just so insignificant and mediocre in comparison to a lot of her discography, and it really took her a while to get past making those faceless piano/rock ballads. |

We're talkin' the same old shit after all of these years 18. Come to Mama // 5.36 Quite a big jump up from the last one, but still a fairly poor average, we move from one of her earliest songs to one of her much more recent ones. The song is about people loving one another, and, how in troubled times, love can help people overcome hardships. It looks to the future, is twee and dainty and an overall 'nice' song.. which doesn't seem to cut it in this rate! |

'Come to Mama' was a Joanne highlight for me and another I was sad to see it receive so much hate. I love 'Hey Girl' too and I'm sure that'll be out soon.
