#13: Roles Reversed - Mimi Webb | 272 Points
4th Single from Amelia
Released: 16th February 2023

An emotional track from Mimi released as a buzz single before the album, and though it didn't do much officially its one of my favourites from her! Such a gorgeous track!

Chart Run: 24.2.23 3-5-2-5-9-5...

#12: Sleepwalker - Ava Max | 273 Points
Album Track from Diamonds & Dancefloors
Released: 27th January 2023

Sleepwalker is the biggest bop from a bop-filled album, and that synth riff really makes the track, I love it so much i could listen to that riff for hours!

#11: ceilings - Lizzy McAlpine | 277 Points
6th Single from five seconds flat
Released: 8th April 2022/ 14th March 2023*

Originally an album track from Lizzy's album from last year, ceilings went viral on tiktok, and the sped up version causing the virality has also now been released! Its a gorgeous accoustic guitar track with a beautiful crescendo at the end, and it spent 2 weeks at #1 on my charts!

Chart Run: 17.2.23 38-1-1-10-6-10-9...

Some bops here from Zara, Latto and Coi plus Taylor, Ghost and Lizzy are all fab as well. You should try your hand at a Ghost sounding BJSC hit sometime laugh.gif also 'lady's at my crib' was a solid debut for you.

#10: A&W - Lana Del Rey | 284 Points
2nd Single from Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd
Released: 14th February 2023

Lana has had several decent sized hits this year from her back catalogue, but none of them compared to this. Released on a random Tuesday, this 7 minute long track is one of 2 parts, the first 4 or so minutes is a standard piano Lana track with soft vocals, and halfway through it switches up into a trap style bop. Only Lana could pull off singing 'Jimmy Jimmy Coco Puff' in a song and make it sound so cool! Unfortunate enough to miss the top 20 on debut, charting with just 24 hours of streams (my charts are dated for the friday of said week but calculated and published on wednesday), and getting stuck at #2 twice, first behind Lizzy McAlpine's 'ceilings' and most recently now behind herself in album release week as 'Taco Truck x VB' pips it to the post!

#9: Ice Cream Man. - RAYE | 285 Points
5th Single from My 21st Century Blues
Released: 2nd February 2023

An emotional track from RAYE, and probably the deepest song on the album, tackling the topic of sexual assault and the impacts of that, where RAYE tells her story of her experiences. When she performed this live it was such a powerful moment.

#8: Kill Bill - SZA | 287 Points
4th Single from SOS
Released: 9th December 2022

Kill Bill became a global smash from SZA's highly anticipated 2nd album SOS, with a tongue-in-cheek message of killing your ex so no one else can love him!

Chart Run:[3-8-16]-4-4-4-6-23-36-28-30-34-44

#7: Oscar Winning Tears. - RAYE | 300 Points
Album Track from My 21st Century Blues
Released: 3rd February 2023

The opening track from RAYE's stunning debut album really sets the tone, a belter of a song, that bridge and high note at the end is PHENOMINAL! Really showcases her abilities as a vocalist and proves shes much much more as just a faceless dance feature.

#6: Karma - Taylor Swift | 312 Points
Album Track from Midnights
Released: 21st October 2022

When Taylor announced she was releasing a song called Karma, I was expecting something that sounds very 'reputation' esque. What we got was the opposite, a kiss off bop from someone who's moved on and is in a better place. and I LOVE IT! Such a bop and I wish it was a single, its sooo fun!

Chart Run: 28.10.22 [4-8-10-2-1-1-2-2-7-8]-8-8-9-8-26-27-24-27-31-35-42-43

#5: Body Better - Maisie Peters | 320 Points
1st Single from The Good Witch
Released: 27th January 2023

Maisie kicked off 2023 well, with yet another #1, this time kicking off her 2nd album era. It followed 4 stand alone singles from last year, all of which reached the top spot!

#4: The Great War - Taylor Swift | 359 Points
Album Track from Midnights (3am Edition)
Released: 21st October 2022

One of 7 bonus tracks surprise released just 3 hours after the original album, this was the one I clicked with instantly, and I still absolutely adore it. It was like the perfect soundtrack to my 2022 which felt like a Great War that i did survive, despite all the challenges!

Chart Run: 28.10.22 [1-3-4-6-5-7-9-11-15-17]-11-6-8-11-30-32-23-28-4-19-34-39-46...

#3: Dancing's Done - Ava Max | 366 Points
4th Single from Diamonds & Dancefloors
Released: 20th December 2022

What a earworm. Easily my favourite from D&D, its such a bop that I can't get enough of, Ava really slayed!

#2: Red Flags - Mimi Webb | 473 Points
3rd Single from Amelia
Released: 13th January 2023

A bop from Mimi, It clicked instantly and easily became her first #1 single on the charts, kicking off her year well! My only problem is its too short, though its length defo helped it as in its first 2 weeks of charting it was streamed over 100 times both of those weeks!

#1: Escapism. - RAYE feat. 070 Shake | 534 Points
3rd/4th Single released from My 21st Century Blues*
Released: 12th October 2022

The biggest song of the year so far is in fact one from October last year! Despite not getting any weeks at the top this year, Escapism. by RAYE & 070 Shake has been a mainstay in the top 10, and is still in the top 20 currently! Such a bop and i'm so glad it went viral for her last year, also it kicked the f*ck off live when i saw her!

Chart Run: 21.10.22 [13-29-39-41-x-48-2-1-1-6-9]-5-3-3-5-22-4-2-7-9-22-4-11-19...

#1 wasn't in doubt I don't think or 2 for that matter haha. Like the Ava song, 'The Great War' is nice and 'Body Better' also great.
