Not what I would call AMAZING but decent on first listen. I grew on IWNLYD after a few weeks so this one could certainly do the same.

I like the video. I don't know if I'm reading too much into this but is the video referencing that Calvin wasn't a big fan of her doing modelling stuff, but once he's given the opportunity to model, he does it?

I've just realised, in a roundabout way the production in the chorus reminds me of 'Earthquake' (Labrinth + Tinie Tempah). It's the whole bendy synths thing.

I kind of only rooted for this song because Kate Nash (absolute gem) had input in the writing but the video has taken it to a whole other level. Despite the dodgy intro, the editing is superb especially during the bridge and Rita looks amazing and this is from someone who loathes basic popstars like Rita. She looks godlike and I hope this does well for her, definitely her best song since R.I.P. It would be a shame for her best effort so far imo to flop plus I want her to dethrone Cheryl Cole a.k.a the queen of basic and uncreative pop of her no.1 crown. She doesn't deserve it. YOU GO RITA YOU GO!

that video is EASILY one of the best videos of the year. the styling, narrative and editing are absolutely exquisite. i'm absolutely blown away, i much like everyone else have had not so nice things to say about rita but what a TRANSFORMATION. she LOOKS like an international popstar and the song is fantastic and goes against the culture climate.
the narrative of the video isn't over-complicated and really quite accessible. tho the intro is a bit cringe and the picture of her burning looks like a bald jessie j :') p.s. i want that ornate mirrored black jacket *.* stunning |
