twelve Spaces "Spaces between us hold our secrets, leaving us speechless and I don't know why. Who's gonna be the first to say goodbye?" HIGHEST: 09.5 (CDC, Calum Hood) LOWEST: 05.0 (Pavel, Joe., Jay) AVERAGE: 7.633 (15 scores) Another one that really should NOT be as low as this next, and it's one of the main album tracks 'Spaces'. Another ballad, and it's extremely gorgeous. This album is their most ballad-heavy to date and there's obviously some competition for which is the best, but this really shouldn't be as low as 12th. It didn't click with me as immediately as some of the others on the album at first, but over time it's grown on me so much and it's now definitely in my top 5 from the album! The lyrics in this are actually really bloody meaningful, just asking who's gonna do what first in a relationship when it gets tough (or you could take it any other way you wish). Jay is not permitted to participate in any future rates. |

eleven Girl Almighty "Am I the only, only believer? There's something happening here, there's something happening here..." HIGHEST: 10.0 (Joseph, AdamAloud, #Slayberry) LOWEST: 05.0 (Pavel, Joe.) AVERAGE: 7.700 (15 scores) Now this is one song that I can appreciate dropping out so soon. Admittedly it is growing on me a fair bit since the first listen, but it really is one of the iffy tracks from the album. There's nothing about it all that really screams 'amazing' or even 'great' - it's just a nice track that sits well on the album among the other tracks. Half filler, half something that would probably sound a hell of a lot better live. The fact that it's above 'Spaces', 'Fool's Gold' and 'Illusion' though is just criminal. |

Don't really see all the fuss about Girl Almighty, it's a good album track but not one of the best, I think that Night Changes will win this, and can't wait to see where Steal My Girl, Where Do Broken Hearts Go, No Control, Fireproof and Stockholm Syndrome end up

Hmm, 'Girl Almighty' is DEFINITELY top 10 worthy but then I can't think which other song shouldn't be? Such a strong album.

ten Clouds "Here we go again, another go around for all of my friends, another night stopped, will it ever end?" HIGHEST: 10.0 (Rooney) LOWEST: 07.0 (HausofKubrick, #Slayberry, Pavel, Calum Hood, Joe., Nick F1) AVERAGE: 7.900 (15 scores) Glad this is following very close behind 'Girl Almighty' because there's really not much I have to say about this song at all other than that I've barely listened to it and do tend to skip it when I get to it and that there's not really anything interesting about it all. The production is good, but the boys' diction in this song is horrendous, incredibly difficult to make out a word of what they're saying (yes, I did have to actually Google some lyrics from the song to add above). Meh, should have finished lower down, but it's not exactly an atrocity at this stage. Moving on... |

Clouds sounds like it'll be amazing on the tour, it has one of them anthemic choruses.

nine Fireproof "Nobody knows you baby the way I do, and nobody loves you baby the way I do" HIGHEST: 11.0 (Jáhq, Mango) LOWEST: 05.0 (Pavel, Joe.) AVERAGE: 8.667 (15 scores) I've just spent like 10 minutes wondering whether I need to go to the optician's because I thought this had a higher average than another song that is higher up - couldn't tell the difference between '6' and '8'. Anyway, I'm actually really surprised that this song's crashed out as early as it has! Thought this would have been sure-fire top 5! I'm sure Jáhq and Mango will be a little pissed off at this point. It's definitely one of the best on the album. Even though it's got time in its favour, it still stands out from the others and was a great example of what the whole sound of the album represented when we first heard it way back when. Zayn's vocals in this slay. |
