Do we have to pre-order through their website?

BUT YASSSS AT THIS OMG

Posted by: Jay ☆ 17th October 2018, 02:12 PM

I assume so! The album pre-orders aren't up until Friday though. (LM5 track list and tour details were shared by a site called merchbar.com too soon! drama.gif ). It seems that the tour pre-sale will take place on Wednesday 24th, with general sale on Friday 26th.

Honestly I'm a little disappointed that they're going with the same schedule as Glory Days i.e. putting the tour tickets on sale 12/13 months before it occurs. I was hopeful for a spring or summer arena tour this time. It's just that last time they were clearly rather tired by the time it came to doing the Glory Days tour, and they were particularly rundown/ill at the date I went to (Jade could barely sing). I just hope that their schedule isn't so busy next year, so that they're not exhausted again when the tour arrives.

P.S. I am too poor for this!

No Cardiff in a way means the tour is going to be better than usual. Cardiff isn't a proper sized arena so can never fit huge production. Sucks for you though I hope you get to see it somewhere else.

Hopefully they'll add Cardiff eventually, London or Birmingham is a bit of a pain from Bristol. tongue.gif

The Cardiff arena is small but it's a really good though. The production is relatively decent considering the size, and you still get a good view even if you're near the back.

I know what you mean, I've been to Cardiff for some great gigs, but the shows with the biggest production don't go there (Unless it's a stadium tour). For example Katy Perrys Prismatic or Witness Tours would not have been able to go there.

I imagine Katy could but she would have to scale down the production big time.

I saw Kylie there last month, and I also saw her in 2014 (she was brilliant both times) and the production was pretty decent. I'm not sure if it was scaled down compared to the other tour dates/her previous tours though? unsure.gif

Yes, but as I mentioned before they’re possibly doing the next level tier production (hopefully that’s the reason anyway). For example Katy Perry’s Witness Tour production would not have fitted in Cardiff arena.

I’ve just read something on Digital Spy what’s a bit worrying.

It appears the tour may be in danger of being pulled because the girls are no longer with Modest?

Posted by: Jonjo 24th July 2019, 05:33 PM

Well, they're following Columbia and Modest on social media. The girls have liked a tweet basically saying they were never following them before now.

So excited for this. The only time I've seen them live before was their performance of Wings at One Love Manchester.

I assume the resurgence of Wasabi means we are 95% likely to get that as a performance? Especially after the uproar of ---------------FYN--------------- not being performed (supposedly). They can't afford to lose 2 of the fan favourites!

Jade confirmed months ago that wasabi is being performed on tour. Didnt she?

Posted by: 365 28th August 2019, 10:07 AM

Really hope there's more than just a giant screen this time. Can't believe they've never even had a catwalk.

Posted by: Jonjo 29th August 2019, 03:09 PM

They have, haven't they? Glory Days had that massive raised platform where they performed NMSS & NEM, right? ohmy.gif

Posted by: Jay ☆ 29th August 2019, 04:37 PM

Catwalk is like what we had at Rita Ora, the stage extended into the audience at ground level. The raised platforms don't count as being the same thing! (I honestly have always found raised platforms to be an annoying/overrated feature of tours... I think it's probably cooler for the artists to be able to look down at the audience, whereas the audience crane their necks to look upward for an awkward angle of them. No platforms this year pls~)

Posted by: Jade 16th September 2019, 10:22 PM

That set-list looks amazing, I really regret not getting tickets sad.gif prioritised Spice Girls at the end of last year as I've already seen LM twice. Looked into it recently but I could only get a maximum of 1 ticket for Birmingham and didn't really fancy going alone. Hope everyone going has a good time!

Posted by: Jonjo 16th September 2019, 10:44 PM

Not them doing pretty much all of my least faves from LM5 laugh.gif (it's my fave album by them and I still like all those tracks) but I'm annoyed at the lack of Motivate, Forget You Not (obvz not surprising), Monster In Me and I woulda been down for an American Boy performance too (although that's not a huge loss.

Yay for Wasabi, Strip & The Cure though. heart.gif I'm excited to see the Joan Of Arc performance coz I imagine that'd absolutely SMASH.

I know, I’m so excited - i’ve not had the chance to see them yet!

Posted by: Calum 19th October 2019, 10:52 AM

So I saw them in Glasgow on Thursday and... I was pretty disappointed. sad.gif

It was great to hear the big hits and favourites like SOTME, etc but besides that I can't say I cared for the majority of everything else they performed? And even then, the whole show it seemed like they really didn't care about delivering a good vocal performance. Instead it was all about putting on a show / the dancing.

Such a shame because it had such a brilliant story and concept (much like the Get Weird tour, tying everything together), but it definitely wasn't executed as well as it could've been. Was particularly sad.gif at The Cure... all the moments where it could've been such an incredible performance were robbed because they just... didn't sing lol.

Unless their next album's to the same standard as Get Weird or Glory Days, I think I'll be giving their next tour a miss oops

Posted by: Jordan Lee 19th October 2019, 02:15 PM

Calum! I’m sad you said that.

I’ve never seen them live before but I have the dvd Of Get Weird and I loved that show.

Also for me I can take or leave big performances they’re fun to watch but an artists vocal for me is the most important thing so to hear that leaves me feeling nervous.

Still excited to see the show though. Remaining Optimistic here that I’ll enjoy the show though being from the same home town as half the band too maybe they’ll be more excitement at my venue from the band members.

When you say you didn’t care for what they performed was it that LM5 wasn’t to your tastes and your personal favourites weren’t on the setlist or did they just not do the songs well?

I'd only seen them live once before, and that was the Get Weird tour so I don't know if my expectations were set too high because that was so brilliant?

If you're a fan of LM5 (the album), then I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time! There were a couple of songs from it that they absolutely nailed (Think About Us mainly).

It is probably that most of LM5 just doesn't do it for me, but I do feel like even some songs that I wasn't massive on could have been performed / sung a lot better than they were. sad.gif That didn't really matter to me though because I felt myself zoning out a little during those songs. kink.gif But the songs that I do love from LM5 were... severely lacking.

I went last night and did feel a little disappointed too, as it was my first time seeing them and I know how much hype they get as a live act - they put on such a show but the vocals did suffer at times which was disappointing.

I still absolutely adore them & admire what they did, and Seceret Love Song was such a moment!

Posted by: LewisGT 20th October 2019, 09:43 PM

I’m sad to see people found this tour disappointing.

I think I was probably overreacting to be fair, because in hindsight they put on some amazing performances within it!

Weren't those dates already postponed in the first place due to 'Bounce Back' promo? Now cancelled? Yikes their poor international fans!

Posted by: Jonjo 23rd October 2019, 09:49 PM

They've cancelled the Australian & New Zealand leg of the tour in December after originally postponing from Summer!

The reason is "to focus on new music". I feel bad for the Aussie & NZ fans, they're always so loyal to their faves.

Why do I feel like someone on the inside is purposefully sabotaging them? ph34r.gif

Posted by: Jordan Lee 26th October 2019, 10:44 AM

I really enjoyed my show at Newcastle.

It was really well put together and they did some really good routines.

I was also definitely impressed with the vocals particularly on the slower numbers on the setlist. Secret Love Song was amazing, they also had some pretty fire outfits. Overall such a good night.

Only real miss on the setlist for me was DNA and I do wish we got Black Magic in full as it is among their signature songs but the mix of old and new was really great.
