(belated due to me having a lot of extra work last week)
Now that Ariana has officially been given a seventh UK #1, let's see how she does against other similarly big names! There's a mix of both classic and current names so it could get interesting. Every performer with seven (no more, no less) UK #1s will go head-to-head to see which of these had the best. Here's each of their 6th #1 hits.. Ariana Grande Rain on Me Elton John Are You Ready for Love George Michael Jesus to a Child Jess Glynne These Days Justin Bieber Despacito Kylie Minogue Can't Get You Out of My Head McFly Star Girl Michael Jackson Earth Song Robbie Williams Radio Sam Smith Too Good at Goodbyes Tinie Tempah Not Letting Go U2 Vertigo Which of these is your fave? Does your fave artist here have the best song? Is this #1 their best? Simply vote in the poll and the top 2 will go through to the grand final. A new round will appear every 2 days, so get your vote in quickly! ++ Congrats to U2 and Kylie Minogue who will be progressing to the final. Kylie Minogue Spinning Around [ 34 ] ** [49.28%] U2 Take Me to the Clouds Above [ 10 ] ** [14.49%] Ariana Grande Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored [ 8 ] ** [11.59%] Jess Glynne Don't Be So Hard on Yourself [ 7 ] ** [10.14%] George Michael Somebody To Love {from "Five Live"} [ 3 ] ** [4.35%] Tinie Tempah Crazy Stupid Love [ 2 ] ** [2.90%] Elton John Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word {Blue feat. Elton} [ 1 ] ** [1.45%] Justin Bieber I'm the One [ 1 ] ** [1.45%] McFly Don't Stop Me Now [ 1 ] ** [1.45%] Michael Jackson You Are Not Alone [ 1 ] ** [1.45%] Sam Smith Writing's on the Wall [ 1 ] ** [1.45%] Robbie Williams Somethin' Stupid [ 0 ] ** [0.00%] Finalists: George Michael Careless Whisper Jess Glynne Rather Be Kylie Minogue Especially for You Kylie Minogue Hand on Your Heart Kylie Minogue Spinning Around Kylie Minogue Tears on My Pillow Michael Jackson Billie Jean Michael Jackson Black or White Robbie Williams Rock DJ U2 Take Me to the Clouds Above honestly we may as well give this poll a miss as there's no way Ariana and Kylie are getting beat this round. Ariana does get my vote anyway. |

Justin Bieber – Despacito [FAVE - modern classic]
Michael Jackson – Earth Song [epic power ballad] Robbie Williams – Radio [one of my faves from him] Ariana Grande – Rain on Me [one of her best, top pop] Kylie Minogue – Can't Get You Out of My Head [massively overrated but still very good] Jess Glynne – These Days [pretty good] U2 – Vertigo [one of their better songs] Elton John – Are You Ready for Love [a cut above average] Sam Smith – Too Good at Goodbyes [not one I revisit] McFly – Star Girl [average song but minus points for being the track that knocked Black Parade off #1] Tinie Tempah – Not Letting Go [I think this is pretty crap, one of the weakest #1s of the decade] George Michael – Jesus to a Child [couldn't hum it] Pretty strong round this! Also good to see U2 advancing from the previous round. This post has been edited by Dobbo: Nov 16 2020, 12:56 PM |

agreed on CGYOOMH. it's a good song but it's so overrated especially when she released better tracks before and after it.
Very very weak list for me. I only like 3/4 songs here :') thinking 'Earth Song' gets my vote but 'Rain On Me' is next. Rank 1 'Earth Song 2. Rain On Me 3. Star Girl 4. Despacito 5. Are You Ready For Love 6. Can't Get You Out Of My Head 7. Vertigo 8. Radio 9. Jesus To A Child (don't think I've heard this and don't think I will listen to it but by default higher than the three below it) 10. Not Letting Go 11. These Days 12. Too Good At Goodbyes This post has been edited by Rob S~: Nov 16 2020, 01:19 PM |

Would like to vote for all of Ariana, Elton, Kylie, Michael Jackson and U2... but I'm finding myself voting for Kylie again, it's a real classic

Kylie for the second time, for sure. 'Rain On Me' and 'Radio' completing the Top 3 (such an underrated Robbie song).

The toughest round for me!
Earth Song got my vote but I love a lot of songs this time around. Rain On Me, Cant Get You Out Of My Head, Vertigo, Too Good At Goodbyes and Are You Ready For Love are all great tracks and a isnt their best. |

Just realised this is Not letting Go's second outing. Combined it probably wouldn't win.

Another landslide for Kylie methinks *.*
McFly are a close second for me though, 'Star Girl' is easily one of their best! I remember the days when Chris Moyles used to play it every Friday on Radio 1 |

Think this may actually be the best set of songs so far!
After losing my streak of my votes always getting through I'm going even further off the deep end voting for U2 this time, easily their best song and a classic though again I am fine with Kylie landsliding as it'd be between that and 'Rain On Me' for my 2nd pick ~ Elton, McFly, MJ and Robbie are all good too and most of the others are also decent! |

I voted earlier:
Ariana Grande Rain on Me Justin Bieber Despacito Elton John Are You Ready for Love McFly Star Girl --- Kylie Minogue Can't Get You Out of My Head Jess Glynne These Days Michael Jackson Earth Song Sam Smith Too Good at Goodbyes Tinie Tempah Not Letting Go U2 Vertigo Robbie Williams Radio George Michael Jesus to a Child I don't care for anything below the line at all. CGYOMH and Earth Song I've ALWAYS found overrated |
